Justification by Faith

We have been saved by grace through faith. The apostle Paul emphatically states, "a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:16).

Justification is a legal standing with God based upon Christ's death and resurrection and our faith in Him. The word Paul uses (dikaioo), comes from Roman legal courts meaning to declare to be righteous, or to pronounce righteous. Therefore, justification is the legal and formal acquittal from guilt by God who is Judge. It is the pronouncement of the sinner as righteous, who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let's suppose for a moment that I died tonight and stood before the Lord God who is the Supreme Judge of the Universe. No doubt He would ask me, "why should I let you into my heaven? You are a guilty sinner. How do you plead?"

My response would be, "I plead guilty, Your Honor."

My advocate, Jesus Christ, who is standing there beside me speaks up for me. He says, "Your Honor. It is true that he is a grievous sinner. He is guilty. However, Father, I died for him on the cross and rose from the dead. He has put his faith and trust in Me and all that I have done for Him on the Cross. He is a believer. I died for him, and he has accepted Me as his substitute."The Lord God turns to me and says, "Is that true?"

I will respond to Him, "Yes sir! That is the truth. I am claiming the shed blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse me of all my sins. I have put my faith in Jesus to save me for all eternity. This is what You have promised in Your Word. Jesus said, 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Lord God responds: "Acquitted! By order of this court I demand that you be set free. The price has been paid by My Son." Furthermore, I get to go home and live with the Judge! Justification means that at the moment of salvation God sovereignly declares the believing sinner righteous in His sight. The believing sinner is declared to be righteous in His standing before God. From that moment on throughout life, through death, that sinner who has believed is now and forever right before God. God accepts him, and he stands acquitted of his sins.

A man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified (Galatians 2:16).

Very good post. Hopefully the truth of this is recognized and understood. The pure imputation of Christ's righteousness to those who believe is one of the most amazing and fundamental truths of the Christian faith.

Amen, good way of putting it.

As in everything there is a tension though:

Gal 2:16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Paul makes it clear that justification is by faith in Jesus and not by works of the law. And Paul also says:

Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Now both are true, so this doers of the law can not mean that they are justified by the law as Paul made it clear that we are not justified by works of the law but by faith. Yet here he says that only the doers of the law shall be justified.

So we see then that while doing the law does not save us it is also true that those who are saved will do the law.

Notice Paul here,

Rom 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
Rom 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Rom 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Rom 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Rom 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

so works do not justify us just as Abraham believed God and was imputed the righteousness of God.

Yet James said:

Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James said that Abraham was justified by works of faith. So James says that Faith without works is as dead as the spirit without the body is dead.

Both are true.

We are not saved by works, but real faith brings forth works. so while we are not saved by works of the law our faith in Jesus which saves by grace brings forth fruit of doing the law. Faith and Grace come first.

Blessings.

YOU LEFT OUT MOST IMPORTANT PART

you did not even mention SANCTIFICATION
REPENTANCE
wthout these parts you have the new easy false gospel
with it you have the rue gospel

without it you are not saved even though you claim you are.

You perfectly preached the INCOMPLETE GOSPEL that the enemy has sold to ALL the churches
you left out the MAJOR POINT that the enemy never ever never forever teaches

WITH SANCTIFICATION everyone who followed your advice would actually be saved!
Without it they will hear this

You forgot TOTALLY the necessary REPENTANCE and TURNING AWAY FROM EVERY SIN

without this you will be in this situation:
look

Those who did not plead for grace to put away sin,
those who did not repent
those who were not sorry and by grace stop the sins
after they were cleansed from past sins by justification
but KEPT ON SINNING"

those who did not stop sinning will hear this:

Mat 7:22 Many (maybe you) will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
Claimed the blood of Jesus?
and in thy name
ministered,
have cast out devils even???
and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will God say unto them,
I never knew you:
I never had an ongoing relationship with you
you didnt KEEP away from sin
depart from me,
ye that kept on sinning
kept on working iniquity.

SO how to prevent that scenario?

read on!

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine,
whoever reads the Bible
whoever claims to be a christian
whoever CLAIMS to be saved
and doeth them,
and STOPS THE SINS
and puts away the sins
and stops doing wrong from now on
by my spirit says the Lord
I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall

you cannot understand it until you have the true full complete gospel

'You have said this, "Our wickedness and our sins weigh us down,
and we are rotting away because of them. How can we live?"'

11 "Tell them, 'As I live, declares the Almighty LORD,
I don't want wicked people to die.

REPENT!
Rather, I want them to turn from their ways and live.
Change the way you think and act!
Turn from your wicked ways!
Do you want to die, people of Israel?'

12 "Son of man, say to your people,
'The right things that a righteous person has done
will not save him when he rebels.

The wicked things that a wicked person has done
will not make him stumble
when he turns from his wickedness.

The righteous person will not live

when he keeps on sinning!'

13 I may promise the righteous person that he will certainly live.
But if he trusts in the right things
that he has done and he does evil,
none of the right things that he has done will be remembered.
He will die because of the evil things he has done.

ONCE YOU ARE FORGIVEN YOU MUST THEN REPENT

14 I may warn the wicked person that he will certainly die.

But suppose he turns from his sin

and does what is fair and right.

15 He returns the security for a loan,

pays back everything he stole,

lives by the rules of life, and does nothing evil.

Then he will certainly live.
He will not die.

16 None of the sins that he has done will be remembered.

He has done what is fair and right. He will certainly live.

17 "But your people say, 'The Lord's way is unfair.' Yet, their ways are unfair.

18 If the righteous person turns

from the right things that he has done

and does evil,

If the wicked person

turns from his wickedness

and does what is fair and right,

he will live because of it.

Because Jesus forgave him

If he does not turn and keeps

sinning he will die.

20 Yet, the people of Israel say, 'The Lord's way is unfair.' I will judge each of you by your own ways, people of Israel."

You have been falsely taught that once forgiven always forgiven
no change of life necessary

this is the false gospel

JEsus in all the gospel forgives
and THEN
tells them to straighten up

those who do not
are lost.

go read the gospels again prayerfully

the greatest deception and damage satan has always done is twist the scripture to say

Jesus died so we dont have to do anything more

this is not true

you have to go and sin nor more

that means

accept forgiveness
and then live in a NEW COMMANDMENT KEEPING LIFE

by grace and prayer

this is repentance

and it is no longer taught

and nowone will repent if they dont think they need to

it is masterpiece of deception

pray to God before you read this
Lord remove the strong delusion as people read this verse, thank you!

Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;

but he that doeth the SAYINGS of my Father which is in heaven.

(REPENTANCE CHANGE OF LIFE)

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you:
I never had a relationship with you
I never helped you give up all those sins
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Here is the key that exposes the incomplete gospel:

Ezekiel 33:18 If the righteous person who has been forgiven
and who has lived thereafter righteously
turns from the right things that he has done
and changes his mind
and decides to sin again
and does evil,
he will die because of it.

Jesus ever taught REPENTANCE
always

it is THE GOSPEL

you have been told some other gospel

this is the gospel of Jesus

Mat 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.!

thats IT!

The gospel

God forgives change your lives

God forgives change your lives

God forgives change your lives

the enemy always only quotes half the scripture

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints:
here are they that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus.

faith of JEsus FORGIVENESS FULL AND FREE
commandments of Jesus CHANGE YOUR LIVES

that is the real gospel

not some other gospel

Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying,

admiting their sins

Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits
change in life
proving your repentance!

PROVE YOUR REPENTANCE get rid of ALL SINS IN YOUR LIFE

that is necessary

or you will be given the LORD LORD WE WERE YOUR DISCIPLES SPEACH and God will say
NO, YOU DIDNT CHANGE

you are out of here.

Someone just told me JEsus never taught that

ok here it is

Mat 9:12 But when Jesus heard that,
he said unto them,
They that be whole need not a physician,
but they that are sick.
Mat 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth,
I will have mercy,
and not sacrifice:
for I am not come
to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.

Jesus himself said

I AM COME TO CALL SINNERS TO REPENTANCE!
change of life
keep the commandments from now on

Jesus saves
we change
by his grace

I AM COME TO CALL SINNERS TO REPENTANCE!

Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
Mat 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Mat 11:22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
Mat 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

the churches of BABYLON have this strong delusion that they dont need to repent

"Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." -Revelation 2:5.

"Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth." -Revelation 2:16.

"And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not." -Revelation 2:21.

"Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds." -Revelation 2:22.

"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." -Revelation 3:3.

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." -Revelation 3:19.

"And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:" -Revelation 9:20.

"Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." -Revelation 9:21.

"And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." -Revelation 16:9.

"And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds." -Revelation 16:11.

Hear is the true Gospel

Jesus died to forgive your past sins
if you are indeed sorry for doing them
He forgives those sins
he wants you to repent
change and love him
and follow JEsus not satan
He want syou to walk in newness of life
keeping all his commandments from now on
by his grace
and all your sins will be never remembered again

if you make a mistake
he is our advocate
and will forgive each sin when you ask and will give you more strength to walk right do right and live right

the fruits are all from Jesus
then works are all from Jesus
the power is all fro Jesus
the decision to change your life is all from you.

God needs a commitment from you since he doesnt force himself
then all things are possible

read the Bible
all the apostles struggled with sin every day and prayed God change them and do right
and it will be a struggle until the enemy is defeated

fight fight fight says Paul
struggle against sin
Fight fight fight says Peter struggle against sin
Fight fight fight says JEsus
struggle against sin I give you all power to win

that is the unwanted true gospel

but if you ingore it
you will hear this as MOST christians will..

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

WE ARE SAVED!

WE are in

and inside they were full of sin coruption lies cheating and they even murdered people and Jesus
but they couldn't be wrong
They couldn't be lost they thought
they were ACEPTED people of God! There is no way they could be lost they thought

but they were.

Looks like Jesus had the same struggle with his disciples against the "eternally secure"
crowd who refused to do the law of love to God and man
You know them, they keep right on sinning and claim entrance into the kingdom

one thing about true disciples
they dont claim to be saved
they beat their chest and look at the ground
and say
save me Lord
I sinned again today
my sins will kill me
without you to help me do right I will be lost

Zacheus was such a true follower
Zacheus didnt claim to be SAVED
he KNEW he was lost
and he pleaded with God

and Jesus said
ZACHUS since you REPENTED and CHANGED and are following the commandments
salvation has come to your house
keep it that way.

John the baptist said to the pharisees who claimed to be already saved

Get out of here you vipers,
bring forth fruits (lifestyle change) worthy of claiming repentacnce

start doig right!

while the whitewashed hypocrites
who thought they were saved while they kept breaking the commandments

the accepted children of the kingdom (they thought)
in their colorful robes and doctors degrees
(television preachers)
act pompous and saved and say
We are GODS children!
we dont have to do anything
we are in
just
like Nicodemous thought
we are saved!
bring the money
the majority are with us!

Well you have to do something
you have to get rid of every sin in your life day by day like Nicodemous and zacheus and every other christian since Jesus

and Jesus covers you while the sanctification is going on.

and you will make it

but you have not made it yyet

because everyone can see the lifestyle the fruits
havent made it yet.

Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee,
that I am not as other men are,
that I am saved

Woe Someone don't like the truth LOL.

He who believes has eternal life. John 6:47

I'm not against repentance, God wants us to repent, absolutely, but we repent for life, harmony with God, this is something we do to live and abundant life, to be the wise man who builds his house on the sand, to live the kingdom life, to be sanctified.

But there is a distinction between justification and sanctification.

He who believes has eternal life=justification.

He who repents has life=sanctification.

Not so, what you call sanctification is actually part of justification.

To be Justified we must repent and be renewed through the Spirit becoming obedient to God.

Jesus said:

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

being that Jesus makes it clear that we must be born of both water and the spirit in order to see the kingdom shows that this process is needed to be Justified.

John clears what being born of Jesus means:

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

and sin is:

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Thus we must by the working of the water/repentance and death to self and carry our cross and deny ourselves. and the working of the Spirit/new heart with law written on it/obedient child. then we are justified.

Thus Paul said this:

Righteousness is imputed to us through faith not works. but faith without works is dead and useless as James said:

Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Paul also clearly said concerning being Justified:

Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

only those who do/keep the law will be justified. clear as day.

So if we really have faith in Jesus then we will die with Him and let Christ live in our hearts by Faith. This will produce the obedience of Christ in you. not by works yet not without works.

not saved by works but not saved without works of the Spirit of Christ in you.
