and your citeing these texts which are irrelevant .
These texts are not man-imposed, but they are God-imposed.
Repent of reducing the Savior to a chance-giver:

I give them eternal life, & they shall never perish.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He shall save His people from their sins.

Its not the texts, but your interpretation of them. OSAS is a man made theory imposed upon scripture by use of a couple of proof texts taken out of context of scripture. This has been shown to you in this thread ad nauseam, but to keep the false teaching you need to dismiss all the rest of scripture to do so. It is amazing the gymnastics you have gone through to discredit scripture in order to uphold a false teaching.
You are kicking against the pricks......

Its not the texts,
To anyone who has taken "Savior" out of the texts and substituted "chance giver," which is not in the texts,
you are encouraged to trust the Lord Jesus as your
s a v i o r.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.

I give them eternal life, & they shall never perish.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He
shall save His people from their sins.

Indeed, how will we escape? When will you trust the Lord Jesus as Savior instead of as "chance-giver"? The salvation is great; It is to the uttermost. Christ is the author & finisher of our faith. He guarantees it:

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

That is some great salvation.
someone ask you a legitimate question and you babble for an answer.
how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?

The scripture clearly states one can neglect salvation your ES does not teach that

You certainly can neglect so great salvation by denying that the salvation is so great as to imply eternal life. You can neglect it by writing of the Savior as a chance-giver.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved!

To anyone who has disbelieved in the Savior, regarding Him as a mere chance-giver:

Take the knee now & trust Him as your only & sufficient Savior.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

Yes, if you neglect, you are in bad shape.
And regardless of what you say, the scripture says how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation

So don't neglect the great salvation; don't downgrade it to a shot at making it. Don't belittle it.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He shall save His people from their sins.

(not "He shall give them a chance if they be good boys")

He saves to the uttermost.
He is the author & perfecter of out faith.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Good to know we agree on this
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
This is how we don't neglect our salvation

in other words. Don't neglect your gift.

Not that you will lose it. But that (as with anything you neglect) it will not do for you everything it was intended to do to bless your life.

Do Not Neglect So Great Salvation!

This is how we don't neglect our salvation
When we hear
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & thou shalt be saved,'
why we do the believing. And we trust Him as Savior,
not as a non-great chance giver.

you take your chances bro but the scriptures say if you neglect you will get your just reward. See how lightly you take God and the holy spirit he placed in you. Is that what you teach? its cool to neglect salvation
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
[SUP]3 [/SUP]How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Dude, Your plain outright lies are getting sickening. So sickening in fact. I am contemplating just reporting yuou. We do not need people who refuse to listen to what others say, and continue to lie about what they believe and say.

I am not saying it is ok to neglect salvation. Where do you get this crap. You would be a fool to neglect it. And I would never tell anyone to do this. NO ONE IN HERE but you evidently think I would (well I can think of a few. but they do not seem to be around any more. Wonder why??

So are you going to answer me or not? How can you claim you are not trying to merit salvation, yet in the same breath claim you can lose salvation if you do not do the work required to keep it?

You have been asked this many times now. Are you to afraid to answer?

Time Out for a Chuckle

I have answered 3 questions,
And that is enough.
Said his father, "Don't give yourself airs!"
Do you think I can listen all day to such stuff?
Be off or I'll kick you downstairs.

"Father William," by Lewis Carroll.

A cheerful heart doeth good like a medicine.

And we are promised eternal life with nothing but joy in the presence of the Lord Jesus,
merely for trusting Him as Savior.

Ah, the last resort, If you have no substance, nothing to refute the Truth, attack the messenger.
Such a confused theology you have that you cannot even understand the difference between salvation and the attaining of eternal life. You consistently hit that strawman of works salvation because you don't understand scripture and the whole plan of salvation. Even after so many have explained it you cannot grasp it. You cannot see outside of the box of the predestination theology that you espouse which just does not align with scripture.

No one is saying you need to believe it, but you and Atwood just don't comprehend the difference.

to answer your question, we cannot lose salvation, but one can lose eternal life. You have consistantly confused the two, thus cannot understand your opponents.

ES issues in glorification

Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but thee?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.
My flesh and my heart faileth;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Ps 73

foreknew>foreordained>called>justified>glorified

Savior, not chance-giver

Our Inheritance Does Not Fade Away; It's Guarded, Reserved

1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fade not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Who Is He Who Condemns?

Psalm 34:22

The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

I have no problem with scriptures "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & thou shalt be saved,' believe is a big word , I believe so I obey.I confess him as master so I obey, I gave up my life for him, I burned my bridges behind me. Because I believe.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

[SUP]26 [/SUP]But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
[SUP]27 [/SUP]To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
