Another Homosexual, Cake and Bakers.

Yes, another homosexual has gone running to the equality commission and the papers over a bakers which refused to make him a cake supporting homosexual marriage.

This took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the laws currently ban homosexual marriage. The Bakers is Ashers, which is a chain of bakers run by Chrisitians on Chrisitian principles.

The homosexual LGBT activist wanted the cake to show a picture of Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street with the slogan "Support Gay Marriage" and the Queerspace organisation logo.

However this is a bit of a grey area, the cake was refused because of what was written, not because of his sexual orientation. In this case I side with the Bakers. This activist is clearly just trying to cause trouble.

Let's revisit an example previously provided you, under your logic, the owner of a knife shop would be required to sell knives to people that walk into their store and state they need to buy knives to murder people with; a baker would be forced to facilitate a pedophile NAMBLA chapter outreach; etc...

An activity is not a person. The baker will HAPPILY provide ALL their goods and services to ANYONE for ANY normatively moral purpose whatsoever.

But people/businesses are empowered to reserve the right to not facilitate criminal or immoral acts under natural law which derives its de jure authority from God regardless of whether or not a government has become so corrupt that it seeks to deprive normatively moral people their human right under natural law to a free moral conscience and their religious liberty toward a normative morality and injure them and their business using their de facto authority on behalf of the immoral.

If a government or entity wants to force you to do something immoral that violates God's normative morality, I'll defend your right to say no. That's the point.

Unfortunately, from your post here, it looks like you would simply cheerlead the government persecution of the righteous on behalf of the immoral.

Or revenue from gay weddings could go to fund community speaking events with ex-gays who are now saved. Billboards, mailing campaigns, tv commercials. See how much they want to do business then.

i really don't think you understood what i said at all. i think you want a punching bag and picked me. maybe your reading comprehension will improve if you drop your prejudice against me? because it turns out we agree.

let's try to be more clear:

a private business is under no obligation to provide services to the public.

if you run a store that sells widgets, and you don't like the color blue, and i come in wearing blue jeans, i support your right to tell me to get off your private property & go down the road to the next widget works. the only repercussion you deserve for that is the loss of my business to the widget works in the next town.

Your ignorance is glaring. If you ever take a sociology 101 class, you'll learn that people interact and this interaction causes social change which itself affects people. To put it in a more scholarly way: people's beliefs, attitudes, decisions, and behaviors affect society influencing cultures, structures, and institutions, for better or worse, which, in turn, affects people.

Given the importance of people's beliefs, attitudes, decisions, and behaviors to their own lives, the lives of others, and society; it is imperative that they be rooted in the only objective absolute truth that exists (e.g. Creator God's special and general revelation). Each person has a view of the world which includes their conception of reality, the universe, the world, morality, etc... that they exercise (affecting society). Their worldview may or may not align with truth. If it does, then society benefits from their clarity but if it does not then their distorted reality negatively affects society.

Sexual immorality is a negative deviation from normative morality that negatively affects society. In the context of this discussion it is manifesting in the form of the immoral influencing government institutions to act on their behalf and persecute the righteous.

That's why it matters and why it's not "pretty gay" to work to stop homosexuals and their liberal allies from leveraging governments to persecute the righteous and deprive the righteous of their de jure right under natural law to a free moral conscience and religious liberty toward a normative morality.

Also what message are you trying to send by refusing to bake the cake? It would need to be very carefully articulated. And so would you be okay with refusing another group of people just because you don't like them? Because that's essentially what you are advocating. Refusing gay people one day, what others are you going to refuse? How about...anyone who has had a divorce and is remarrying? A gossip? A couple of compulsive liars? Anyone who practices what you could call a habitual sin? Giving a gay couple the cake isn't going to bring about the fall of mankind any sooner or later.

They told him.

If ya want a cake from a christian baker for a gay wedding, just don't tell him its for a gay wedding.

This isn't an equal rights issue. This is creating a situation to sue someone over. There must be a law against that...

Maybe christians should target gay bakeries and say they need a cake for a bake sale at Westboro Baptist Church.
