My pet's name is Wallace. He's a turtle...which made me kind of nervous at first, because my first turtle killed himself and I was a little traumatized by his sudden death. Just came home from school one day, went to feed him some turtle food, and...found him...wedged between a rock and the wall of his tank. His head was hanging into the water, and I tried to get him to move, you know, denial and all over what had obviously happened while I was off at school. He didn't move, but I thought, maybe he's just sleeping, yeah, I'll just pick him up and give him a little shake...

As it turned out, dead turtles are surprisingly floppy. His little limp legs swung side to side and I screamed and dropped the little guy and my mom put him in a Payless shoe box and drove him to the landfill...

So naturally, I was a bit wary of having a turtle as a pet ever again, but I'm pleased to say it's been going quite well, and Wallace seems pretty happy, don't you think? I mean, this is not the face of a reptile that's going to off himself the minute I turn my back.

Here are our two cats. They are from the same litter. The orange one is Thor and the grey one is Loki. The orange one was the biggest male and Loki well she was the runt, but they get along really well. As you can see she is licking his back for some unknown reason.

And technically Loki was a girl for a while in the comics, just FYI.

This isn't my dog, he belongs to my parents. But I treat him like he's my own.

His name is Sam (a.k.a. Samsung!!!).

Here he was pretending to be asleep so I would stop taking pictures of him. It didn't work!!!

This is Dakota. She is small and super soft. She is very sweet and snuggly but also kind of a diva. She plays fetch with milk jug rings.

Then there's Toby. You can't tell from this picture, but he is huge. The last time I weighed him over a month ago, he was 17 pounds, and he's only a year old. He is very dense, both in body...and mind. He's not the brightest but he is a doll. I put a bow tie on him in this picture so that he is Sir Toby.

Then there's my parents' cat, Bella. She is very tall and thin and weighs next to nothing. She's shy and doesn't like new people (my other two cats are more like dogs, very interactive and love people) but she has the prettiest green eyes (the picture doesn't quite capture how vivid they are) and can be cuddly.

Finally, this is my pupphew; my sister's dog (nephew + pup = pupphew). He is the cutest thing ever and this picture really doesn't do justice to his adorableness.

I also have a red betta fish named Fireside (an inside joke between a friend and I) that I have had for over 4 years now. He's a trooper. When I move, I will be taking Dakota, Toby, and my fish with me.

Oncefallen, do you have ferrets? Or is that Stilly? I thought it was one of the mods...

That's because deep down, humans have a weird desire to be treated badly-ignored, abused, and guilt tripped...but by cute furry critters that can't help being jerks, rather than other humans.

I'm actually having a rare moment of missing my cats. Huh.

They're over 7 years old now, but poor Bingo looks like his best days are behind him. :( I'm not sure he can see very well anymore.
