What Do You Believe In?
Colossians 1: 1-8

Almost everyone talks about faith because almost everyone has faith in something. But faith is only as good as its object. It is important to recognize that we are not saved from condemnation by having faith in faith.
Paul commended the Colossians for their "faith in Christ Jesus" (Col. 1:4).

So it is not sufficient to tell a person, "Just believe." The question is, Believe what? The message of the Gospel is not to believe in yourself, in church or in doctrine but in the Lord Jesus Christ. This implies believing in all that Christ did for us when He died on the cross in our place. It recognizes that we are sinful human beings who deserve condemnation, or else it would never have been necessary for Christ to die. It means we recognize that Christ is our only hope because if we could have been saved by some other means, Christ would not have had to die (Gal. 2:21).

Having faith in Jesus Christ implies we have placed our confidence entirely in His finished work on the cross, recognizing that He forgives our sins and gives us eternal life. One can summarize saving faith as a commitment to Jesus Christ who is our life and Lord. Faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord is also necessary for growth in our Christian walk.

I agree, but you do know that when a Christians says "only believe," they are saying believe in Jesus Christ..........

and, lest we forget, Jesus Himself said "only believe." :)

So is that wrong? Didymos? I the only thing im wrong in, is by I genuine forgotten to mention that this was copied from a site. Whoooooo whooop. My intentions were to bring those subjects to be discussed here. in hope people can be reminded, or to have a good discussion, So tell me if thats wrong then I will point to you, that you are doing the same when you quote scriptures what someone else wrote right? same thing, principle is the same. so why the negative posts, to make people out to be wrong?

Im not in the wrong, I just want people to see a good forgotten sermon or subject spoken about, come back to life, as many had miss. to help people understand about things a little better, and if thats wrong, tell me Didymos. yes i have and I will admit now just for your sake didymos, i have copied a few spoken sermons, So what? the only wrong i did, was purely and genuinely forgotten to state that this was copied and pasted as you repeatedly put it.

keep pointing the finger Didymos, you have 3 fingers poitning back at you. Bro. Think about that, and thats not copied from a site..........

At least I mention my sources, you conveniently 'forget' to do so all the time.

Wow, I forgot to mention the original posts author on 2 of my posts. and I'm judged by you didymos? haha, Only God can judge me brother.

I believe in what the bible says and tells me, Why? Because if i believe in man alone, I would believing in lies. And before you think I'm saying that All man are liars, after saying what i said. No I am not! I am just saying i believe in what it says. its a choice that I have chosen, Like you have chosen not to believe anymore, Its down to whoever to believe.

Posting a silly picture is your way of advising? hah!, if you don't have anything better to say, best that you don't say anything at all.

As if you would have accepted that with that attitude of yours. Stop trying to justify your copy cat behaviour, it's pathetic. On top of that you can't even take a joke. Talking about 'not saying anything at all;' I specifically asked you to stop messaging me, so cut it out already.
