I am going to make a bold assumption, and then discuss this issue based on that assumption.
The assumption is that you are being honest, and actually know and have dealt with people who have drug problems, and were instructed in eternal security.
In the case of a person getting into drugs, and assuming they are saved, they have one of two possible issues:
1. They have misunderstood OSAS, and have continued living in sin because of their immaturity and lack of understanding. They mistook the grace of God for a licence to sin, and obviously have no Spirit within them, guiding them to maturity.
2. They have been instructed in eternal security from an immature carnal minister, who twisted the doctrine to please his own flesh, and to pervert those around him to act in the same fashion. If they had the Spirit, they would not have accepted such perverse teaching.
The point is this: every doctrine has groups of people who twist them into whatever they want. People do the same with the Word of God.
Just because a doctrine has been twisted by an evil man doesn't mean it is false.
Satan twisted several Scriptures while tempting Christ, but that doesn't make those verses false.
This is not foundational teaching, but a part of growth and maturity. If you spend enough time in 1,2 Corinthians, or in the Gospels, or in Romans, you will eventually see how secure salvation is, and will understand.
This doctrine is not needed for salvation, but once you understand it, you will understand a bit more of what the peace of God really is, and why it surpasses all understanding.
If you are not growing past working your salvation out on your knees, then how can you grow up as a mature Beleiver?
If you are feeling the need to be saved again on a regular basis, then you are still in babe state.

no, that is impossible.
One can not be SAVED, if he id not SECURE. Salvation is ONLY in existence if it is complete. otherwise, the person is NOT SAVED.
If I ever need saved from something, remind me not to come to you for salvation from whatever it is, You will claim I am saved, when I am not yet saved. You offer a pseudo salvation which is no salvation at all.

Your taking Gods gift, and placing conditions on it When John and Jesus and everyone else says all you have to do is trust the gift, then recieve it.
The only instructions there are is how to USE IT once you get it to make your life on earth better. Not how to keep it.;

Your still trying to get into the kingdom, because you have yet to trust Christ. so all your works are as filthy rags, because they are done for self and not for God.

You clearly have it all backwards. I am not telling people that no matter what they do they are saved.
I am saying what 1 Jn 1:7 says, that the Christian MUST walk in the light to have his sin all cleansed away else be lost if he will not walk in the light. So it very much matters what the Christian does. So if a Christian cheats on his wife he will be lost if does not repent of it and his cheating does not prove he was "never saved to begin with". This "never saved to begin with" is an excuse eternal securists use to try to find away around passages that speak of Christians falling becoming lost.
It is eternal security telling people it does not matter what a Christian does for what they do can NEVER cause them to lose salvation
Your bias is showing. 1 Jn 1:7 shows the continued walking is the very reason Christ's blood continues to cleanse away all sin.
Christ's blood does not cleanse away all the Christian's sin for no particular reason or for some unknown reason but because of the sustained walking in the light. My sustained walk means I do ask forgiveness of my all my sins.
What unforgiven sin will one take into heaven? Not a single one. That is why the Christian has to be spotless and without blame Eph 1:4 and that comes by a sustained walking in the light and man made eternal security has nothing to with it at all.
No one is arguing salvation can be earned. That is a false straw man that keeps getting thrown around:

The "work of our Lord jesus Christ" was work He did for every man, Hen 2:9, so that means every man will be saved? No for every man will not take advantage of what Christ did for him on the cross by obeying Christ, Heb 5:9. The cross will not save those that remain in disobedience to Christ.
