One of the marks of your teaching Cassian is that it is usually Sola Cassiana.

God so loved the world, that He gave his monogene Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He shall save His people from their sins.

There is this loving Savior who has bought eternal life for whosoever will trust Him.
which is a mususe of the word life. Christ bought life, (eternal physical existence) for every single human being. All men will be raised in the last day to stand in judgement and Christ will determine who will inherit eternal life (spiritual relationship) or hell. Faith ONLY grants the spiritual life, not the physical life.

Misuse of theological argument is someone just saying things.
Prove it or retract.

Salvation & Eternal Life are already determined the moment a man trusts Christ as Savior in this life.

D. 3 TENSES OF SALVATION: past, present, future.

1. Past Salvation.
We were saved from the guilt & penalty of sin.
The Christian can rightly say after He trusts Christ as savior, "I was saved."

2 Tim 1:8-9 For God did not give us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power & love & discipline. Be not ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, not of me his prisoner: but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God; who SAVED us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose & grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Eph 2 "God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead thru our trespasses, made us alive together w/ Christ (by grace you have been saved) & raised us up w/ him & made us to sit w/ him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you HAVE BEEN SAVED thru faith; & that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God; not of works that no man should glory.

2. Present Salvation:
We have deliverance from the Power of Sin.
1 Cor 1:18: ""For the word of the cross is to them who perish foolishness; but to us who ARE BEING SAVED it is the power of God."

2 Cor 2:15: " For we are a sweet savor of Christ to God, in them WHO ARE BEING SAVED, and in them who are perishing; to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as the many, corrupting the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ."

And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life. These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God.

3. Future Salvation:
We shall be saved from the presence of indwelling Sin, be glorified, and live in bliss with the Lord forever.

But God commends his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through him. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life;

I still wait for a straight answer, Cassian: R U a Universalist?

He paid for my sin on the cross. He suffered the separation from God that sin causes (My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me.) The atonement has been made for everyone; but it is only applied to the one who will believe in the Son of God, trust Him as Savior (not chance-giver). If you have a verse that says He forgives the sins of all men, let me know. I have never seen such a verse. It is obvious that He does not forgive anyone who does not trust Christ as Savior. Forgiveness is a big part of salvation. Men do end up in the Lake of Fire, unfortunately. At the Great White Throne judgment men are judged for their sinful works & cast into the Lake of Fire, a ghastly thought, but taught by God's Word.

To be saved from being unforgiven, to be saved from one's depravity, to be saved unto eternal life, requires trust in the Savior.

Sirs, what MUST-I-DO to be saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save HIS PEOPLE from THEIR sins.

He takes away the sin of the world, yes. But that makes sense as him stopping sin in the world -- no more sin allowed some day, the kosmos to be cleansed of sin. No one will be allowed to post on the internet claims that Christ is a mere chance-giver & not a Savior for example.
It is not I that is claiming God forgave the sins of the world. You just made that claim for yourself when you state that Christ paid for the sin of the world. But that only believers appropriate that forgiveness when they believe. Thus your view is that unbelievers have had their sins forgiven by Christ but did not accept that gift. What Christ did for mankind, does not need acceptance. It was a gift given to all men and belief has nothing to do with it.

Christ accomplished three things by His death and resurrection. He defeated death, physical death, by His resurrection, thus giving man and the world an eternal existence again. I would like to see your rationalization that you can either accept or reject your resurrection in the last day.

Secondly, He atoned for sin. He performed the sacifice that makes it possible for Christ as High Priest to forgive sins. ONLY sins that are repented of or confessed are remitted. I would also like you to rationalize just how your acceptance of a sacrifice would change or make a sacrifice effective.
Thirdly, He reconciled the created order as well. I would like to see you rationalize that your faith has a part to play in Christ reconciling the world.

The initial requirement for a human being to be united with Christ in the relationship for which all men were created to have with their Maker, is faith. Faith or belief that Christ did in fact save mankind/the world from death and sin. That belief does not grant eternal life. It permits one to enter into Christ, in a relationship whereby man can attain eternal life, to be with Christ eternally. One takes possession of eternal life and shall inherit it, IF he remains faithful, IF his faith endures.

This is why you cannot find a text in support of OSAS because scripture does not teach automatic, finite, absolute inheritance of eternal life upon initial faith. Ones faith is being tested to see if it is worthy of attaining eternal life with Christ. God does not grant eternal life to those that squander, or trod over his gift of eternal life.

it is Satanic to teach and preach OSAS because Satan loves it.
It is futile to just say things; prove or retract.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

What kind of -ic is it to reduce Christ from Savior to chance-giver?

Re: Will You Shuck & Jive to Avoid Eternal Security?

Cassian, what horrifies you about the fact (not theory) that Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins?

The only horribleness I can think of is the horror of a man not being able to establish his own self-righteousness; the horror of being made to eat dirt (figuratively); the horror of having to confess that one is a wretched sinner.

Whose mind is so shut but he who denies that Christ is Savior, and wants Christ to be a mere chance-giver?
which seems to be your only method to make an arguement, strawmen. You cannot even summarize what I have and several others stated, other than to make strawmen. It is the only way you can make OSAS seem plausible.

I understand that Cassian is orthodox and committed to the teaching of his denomination to the point that he only believes the Bible as his denomination interprets it. So theoretically there is no point in talking to him; however, practically, God's word is like a fire & like a hammer that breaks the bones. So despite his theoretical commitment to his denomination as the final authority, sticking Bible in his face may convict him of the truth.

Problem is that the same sun that melts wax, hardens clay.

so again, to make your false teaching plausible you need to denigrate Christ as the Giver of a single Gospel and His Church over which He is the Head. You again blaspheme the Holy Spirit by assigning His work as the devils work.
That you think that Christ does not have authority over His own Church and His Gospel says a lot about your religion.

What Christ did for mankind, does not need acceptance. It was a gift given to all men and belief has nothing to do with it.
Thus Cassian goes on, just saying things; prove it or retract Cassian.

For God so loved the world [everyone] that He gave His monogene Son that whosever believes in Him [not everyone] should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This is why you cannot find a text in support of . . . [Eternal Security]
Oh yeah?

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants;
And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Ps 52
But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:
I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
1 Thes 5 end:
"And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He Who calls you, Who will also do it.

Col 3
If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

2 Thes 2:16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
End of Rom 8:
And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. For whom
he foreknew,
he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: and whom
he foreordained, them
he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom
he justified, them
he also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 3He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

< 1 Pet 1
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

THE OVERCOMER
Revelation 3:5
The one who overcomes will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father… 1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he who overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

In II Thess. 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.”

In II Tim. 1:12 he sounds a note of rejoicing: “For I know Him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed unto Him against that day.”

4:18 glories in the fact that the Lord will deliver him from every evil work and will save him unto His heavenly kingdom.

2 Tim 1:8-9
… God; who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

2 thes 2:16-17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
Rm 6:23b
the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:27-29
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his bruising we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due? And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Heb 10

Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins: but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. [without forgiveness Christians would not be perfected forever]

And the Holy Spirit also beareth witness to us; for after he hath said,

This is the covenant that I will make with them
After those days, saith the Lord:
I will put my laws on their heart,
And upon their mind also will I write them;
then saith he,
And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, < 2 cor 5.

I take it that God forgave at the cross, but the forgiveness is not received by the sinner until he trusts the Savior, like a governor issuing a pardon on Jan 1, but the prisoner doesn't get out of jail until the prisoner accepts the pardon on June 1 (or the prisoner refuses the pardon).

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
I see that your acceptance of the Satisfaction theory of atonement is still intact. You really like those man made theories. You have so many of them.

But God commends his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through him. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life;
As many times as I have explained it you still quote texts that have nothing to do with just believers. II Cor 5:18-19 is about Christ reconciling the world, not believers. Your continued conflation causes most of your faulty understanding of scripture.
Eph 2:1-5 is not about believers either. It is about mankind. It makes believers possible which is why faith is added in verse 8.

so again, to make your false teaching plausible you need to denigrate Christ as the Giver of a single Gospel and His Church over which He is the Head. You again blaspheme the Holy Spirit by assigning His work as the devils work.
That you think that Christ does not have authority over His own Church and His Gospel says a lot about your religion.
Prove it or retract, Cassian.
Christ's church is not an Eastern denomination.

No scripture again.

Sola Cassiana.

Anyone in the audience who denigrates Christ to the role of "chance-giver" is urged to repent of his sin and to trust the Lord Jesus as His Savior.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

Thus Cassian goes on, just saying things; prove it or retract Cassian.

For God so loved the world [everyone] that He gave His monogene Son that whosever believes in Him [not everyone] should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Oh yeah?

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants;
And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Ps 52
But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:
I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
1 Thes 5 end:

Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise, God having provided some better thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect. Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory. Philip 1:6

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
I see you are still denying the Incarnation and its salvific content of giving life to the world/mankind. You keep denying the very thing that scripture, God expects you to believe in order to be justified by that faith.

As many times as I have explained it you still quote texts that have nothing to do with just believers. II Cor 5:18-19 is about Christ reconciling the world, not believers. Your continued conflation causes most of your faulty understanding of scripture.
Prove it or retract Cassian. You quote no scripture, you pontificate.

Wherefore if any man is in Christ, [just believers] he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new. But all things are of God, who reconciled us [just believers]
to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world [all] to himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us [just believers] the word of reconciliation. We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we [just believers] beseech you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. [This clearly indicates the the reconciliation worked on behalf of all is not effective in all; believers urge unbelievers to be reconciled!]

Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

And working together with him we entreat also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain (for he saith,
At an acceptable time I hearkened unto thee,

And in a day of salvation did I succor thee:
behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation):

This clearly indicates that unbelievers need salvation. The great grace which the Lord did in providing a means of salvation can be in vain if a person refuses to believe in the savior & be saved.

Eph 2:1-5 is not about believers either. It is about mankind. It makes believers possible which is why faith is added in verse 8.
Prove or retract, Cassian.

Ephesians treats both believers & unbelievers.

And you did he make alive, [believers] when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience [mankind]; among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest [mankind]:— but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us [believers], even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us [believers] alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), and raised us [believers] up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: for by grace have ye [believers] been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory. For we [believers] are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.

Do Not Discount the Savior; He Is No Mere Chance-Giver

The Lord Jesus actually saves; he is not just a chance-giver.

If any have discounted his role to that of mere "chance-giver"
You are urged to trust Him now as your only & sufficient Savior.

"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish."

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He shall save His people from their sins.

I agree. It is Satanic.

People are confused with once PRAYED always SAVED, rather than once SAVED always SAVED.

USeem --

Yes, it is not that a prayer per se saves someone. Over & over scripture is crystal clear that the one requirement upon man, the one Must-I-Do is faith in Christ/believe/trust.

However, Rom 10:13 says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And it goes on "
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?"

Thus one may express one's faith in a cry for help, a call on the name of the Lord.

Having once trusted the Savior as in a call to Him, one is saved. And being saved, one is in fact saved.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Rom 10:13 calls Christ "Lord," but it is a quote from Joel where LORD = YHWH, the personal name of God. Thus the Savior is YHWH. He is the 2nd person of the Trinity, God become man, who died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.

Thus I urge anyone reading this to trust the Lord Jesus as Savior, not mere "change-giver."

Call out now:
"Lord Jesus, please save me from my sins, change me, give me your free gift of eternal life, make me a new creation. I do now trust You as my only & sufficient Savior, and I depend upon your atonement on the cross as full payment for all my sins."
