The world is populated by billions of people with competing worldviews, conflicting cultures, and relational disharmony. Few in it are going to align with your own particular beliefs.
No doubt there are some whom come here for the wrong reasons but my observation is that most do but have a wide variety of backgrounds which don't align with each other well politically, theologically, socio-economically, etc.. which is to be expected in a forum that invites people from every part of the globe to participate.
Certainly, you'll find greater comfort in a clique populated by people who agree with you moderated by same that keeps everyone else out. That, of course, was not what Jesus did, however.
Jesus entered the world most humbly and was raised in relative peace but within a hundred years of his execution, Israel would be a wasteland with an almost complete genocide of the Jews, almost all of the survivors of genocide dispersed as slaves over the world, a ban on Judaism, and the unprecedented renaming of the province from Judea to Palaestina.
Though Hadrian's death (in 137 CE) eased restrictions and persecution of the Jews, the survivors of his campaign were not many. Only a small Jewish community of several thousand survived in the Galilee, with smaller communities in other parts of the Mediterranean.
Not everything goes the way you think it should.
Snide remarks and tension.. not what I expected when I came into Christian Chat for the first time in forever tonight. Now I remember why. This chat used to be a place where people uplifted one another and God.. I'm very dissappointed. I believe in having fun just like everyone else, but I did not come in here to get picked on. I really miss the old Christian Chat and alot of the old members. I think theres alot of people here for the wrong reasons now, and way less people here for the right ones, and that makes me very sad.
