Jesus is NOT Coming BACK – Roman Catholic Leaders SAID

A SPOKESPERSON for the Vatican (Roman Catholic) has officially announced today that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless of the news.

Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this years 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.

“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it.” he said. “It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in chapter John 14:1-3 of the bible: “There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly”

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

The church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the savior’s second coming.

Morons. That's all I can say. Well, that, the following sentence and this one I'm now writing.

Sounds like another internet hoax, but if this is true those who said it will be strucked by lighting tonight and will rot in hell...you can never say a bad joke about Jesus and get away with it. Look at what happened to john lennon when he said the beatles are more famous than Jesus, he was shot to death by an obssesed fan.

Hmm... that's weird. I checked to see if the article was satirical but it wasn't all that obvious ala The Huffing-Too-Much-Paint Post or The Onion.

If you read the article its obvious. They quote the guy as saying, "Jesus didn't mean to break his promise" and "He's probably drinking wine."

Oh, I don't know. I've read legitimate news articles that have been as poorly-written and casual in their use of language as this one.

You aren't actually buying into this? Its absolute nonsense. The Church teaches every year that Christ is coming back.

No, I'm not - now that I know it's a satirical article. I was commenting on the fact that it's not super-obvious that the article is in jest.

I don't understand how they can say these unfounded and completely groundless things to their congregation and expect to truly enter the kingdom of God themselves when they are doing something Christ forbid, and are preaching a false doctrine.

I don't think the entire catholic church believes such a crazy thing however. Some of the political figures in it say these outlandish things from time to time and come from left field with something crazy on occasion. No surprise in that.

Just when you think you've seen it all, there's something else...

There is nothing new about this. people have been saying this since Jesus time. Jesus said "do not be deceived," many many many times

This is just one quote out of scripture of many, new and old testament. 2 Peter 3:3 - - "in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. [SUP]4 [/SUP]They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” [SUP]5 [/SUP]But they deliberately forget- - " You forget faith is required and if you doubt you get nothing James 1:6. but most probably you have decided to put your faith in the pope and not God. I say this as senior citizen educated by the Jesuits, growing up in catholic home and know that they teach: concerning blatant discrepancies between church doctrine and what bible said "That is why it is our responsibility to tell you what scripture says."

I pray the Lord will let you believe the truth. Heb 3:12 "[SUP]12 [/SUP]See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. [SUP]14 [/SUP]We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end"

If this is even true, and I certainly cannot substantiate that it is, then the dark side of the force in this Vatican "spokesperson" is strong.

If this were actually true, then both he and the Vatican need to repent immediately and set aside their "feelings" and read 2 Peter 3 in that Bible they're supposed to represent but obviously in the process of renouncing.

Transcendent God, in the person of Jesus Christ, has not abandoned his divinely provident plans for humanity simply because the Vatican (or anyone else) has grown impatient for His return.

If this is actually true, then it is deeply disturbing. This would signal that the Vatican is abandoning the Gospel and Parousia for "something else" which, of course, would be an unacceptable negative deviation away from orthodoxy that any genuine Christian would have to reject.

Politically, such a move would fit neatly in with end times prophecy on religious apostasy begging the question of what are they abandoning the Gospel of Christ for?

What are they dismissing Christ and His Gospel to move toward and what's behind it?

BUT, I can find no viable substantiation for this Internet article. The gold standard, of course, is the Roman Curia and I can find nothing substantiating any of this there.

It looks like another Internet hoax at this point to me. If anyone can substantiate it; however, I'd like to see their evidence.
