I want on some non-doctrinal aspects of the bible.
- I usualy stick to the bible, and not read long extra links from non doctrinal sites
but i did read youre post and will add my reply on the law.
-praise God for his laws of love
Exodus 12:49 "One law shall be to him that is homeborn,
and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you."
-one law for all sounds good
we may see at once the nature, properties, and design of the law of God.
It is a system of INSTRUCTION in righteousness;
it teaches the difference between moral good and evil;
-a Good law to repel evil, for good instruction.
It is a revelation of God's wisdom and goodness, wonderfully well calculated to direct
the hearts of men into the truth, to guide their feet into the path of life, and to make straight, even,
and plain that way which leads to God, and in which the soul must walk in order to arrive at eternal life.
had not God given to man this perfect rule to judge by?
- wisdom from God given to man, well he knows best.
all nations of the world to the present day, where the governor is despotic,
and the laws not formed according to the revelation of God.
- you could add most churches to above,
it was hung up in the most public places, that it might be seen, read, and known by all men,
that those who were to obey the laws might not break them through ignorance, and thus incur the penalty.
-God wrote his laws in a Book and hearts, and given to mear man so he would be mindfull of God.
The Greeks call a law nomov nomos, from nemw, to divide, distribute, minister to, or serve,
because the law divides to all their just rights, appoints or distributes to each his proper duty,
and thus serves or ministers to the welfare of the individual and the support of society.
- when did greeks get anything right with God, or mans evil heart.
Hence where there are either no laws, or unequal and unjust ones,
all is distraction, violence, rapine, oppression, anarchy, and ruin
-thats mans thoughts, but Gods laws are just and righteous and given in love for us.
but everyone throws them away and now we have is anarchy, look around and see the results
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
"What happened to the sabbath/law keepers? The silence is deafening.............."
-here i am, so sorry you have no patiance to wait for my reply.
-a lot were myrted by the unholy roman church for judaizers, or sabbath keeping,
we wait for there fellow brothers to die the same way.
Jesus said to love everyone, that includes to honor our father,
And to keep Holy things God made Holy, and to obey him with youre whole heart
because that is where he wrote his laws at, in my heart to honor him and I follow.
