No scripture states that The Father is Spirit.

You are connecting dotted lines which simply do NOT exist in scripture.

John 4: 23"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."…

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit
the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
It says right here that God (The Father) is spirit and those who worship Father (God) worship in Spirit.
Those who worship HIM (HIM represents the Father)

Ask the Father, He don't lie.

It states that God is Spirit.

Not The Father.

Further, these passages promote Triune worship of God.

Thanks for picking this for us...

Proper worship of God:

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such, the ones worshiping Him. God is spirit, and the ones worshiping Him must worship in spirit and truth.
(John 4.23 - 24)

This proper worship is as a Triune entity:

  • Father
  • Son (Truth)
  • Spirit

One verse does not make or break The Trinity.

The Trinity comprehends ALL scripture.

No verse thwarts The Trinity.

Deal with it...

[SUP]28 [/SUP]Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The Holy Ghost made them overseers, to feed the church of God , which he(the HS) hath purchaced with his own blood.. This makes the HS ,Christ... you little thing a ma gig shows son is not HS...

This should make it abundantly clear...the Lord is that Spirit

3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
[SUP]9 [/SUP]For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

yes you are right this verse was added in about the forth centery.

a lie from rome about the trinity being real is spread and believed by the whole world.

Oh, boy. You do realise that in the OT Jews understand God to be Elohim, don't you? One God but described with a plural. Why do you think that might be?

And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God. Luke 1.35

The incarnation of God is accomplished via The Trinity:

·Father
·Son
·Spirit

Nope.........Holy Spirit = God = Father
..Most High = God = Father

Keep tryin...keep missin.........

Look up in a Phrase concordance of the Bible all the terms of the word Spirit and the scriptures they point to:
Ie..deaf and dumb spirit, contrite and humble spirit, distressing spirit from God, evil spirit, lying spirit, power of the spirit
proud in spirit-etc All in All of God

Dream on...

Nope.........Holy Spirit = God = Father
..Most High = God = Father

Keep tryin...keep missin.........

Luke 1.35 informs the reader that The Holy Spirit is distinct from The Father via the simple fact that arthrous substantives are used in the Greek.

Thus...The Father is NOT The Holy Spirit.

But...you don't know ANY Greek.

Not a single, solitary Biblical verse states that The Father is The Holy Spirit.

You simply don't know your scripture....

The Trinity is not a hierarchy... it is a relationship that reveals God in three persons. By accepting Jesus' gift of salvation as proclaimed in the Gospels, we accept Jesus' death as symbolic to our deaths in order that the Holy Spirit will descend upon us, who intercedes between us and Jesus, who in turn intercedes between us and God. But what we have when we accept Jesus is very small at first. This is why its so important that we cast away our old selves for the new, so that we can grow, allowing us to cleave more and more to God's love and wisdom. It's a relationship. Love is the skin of knowing... Let your knowledge of God grow, and stay close to him at all times.

You are correct, I don't know any greek and the King JB isn't written in greek. You may also know that I know that many many many many verses in the OT and the NT repeat the same meaning in different words to make a clear understanding.
Such as your example Luke 1:35. The first part of the sentence says the HS will come on you and the second half says the power of the most high will overshadow you. Pretty obvious it is saying the same thing. You will find this through out the whole blble.

And I wasn't saying the spirit terms I listed to find the verses were saying the Father is the HS in context of what I was refering to, I was showing you what the word spirit means. They all have one thing in common, action and power. Which is what the Father and Son are. Else they wouldn't be much of a God would they. They would be more like a wooden idol that can't do jack.
But the Father God can do all things by the power of His spirit. Or in plain english and not greek, by His own power as He is Spirit, His being is a live spirit.

Re: Dream on...

You know there is one little verse in Revelation that talks about the Father putting the Sons enemies under him as a foot stool.
And when that is complete, the Son gives back all authority to the Father ....and here's the part I like, So that God maybe ALL in ALL. What is the greek translation for that? And I'm not asking to be a snob.

Can you elaborate on what you think what was meant on (ALL IN ALL) I do understand all in all but

I would like to know the full understanding on what you were referring to.

Re: learn some scripture...

NO it does not

FIND ME THAT EXACT SCRIPTURE WHERE IT SAYS THE: SON IS GOD THOSE EXACT WORDS NOT THE FATHER, SON,ARE ONE

AND I WILL EAT DIRT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE

No need to eat dirt brother, just come to greater understanding and bless Jesus. We are still young and Jesus is patience and long-sufferng.

To answer your question on a scripture that prove Jesus is Son of God, we could just post the whole Bible. For a more direct answer though, John 14 I think is helpful. It's no sin to wonder such questions, seems even the Apostles had questions very similar. However, it is always important to try to take heed of the answer Jesus give.

John 14

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]If ye love me, keep my commandments.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

I made a mistake on that, it isn't Revelations, I was thinking of two different things, I reserve the right to be human.lol

I understand where your coming from But I just want that One verse that says the SON IS GOD

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence

WHY does Jesus say he loves himself ????

AND

HOW can Jesus say the Father gave him something when he is the Father

I dont understand those types of questions that run through my head

yes i know 3 in 1

but that does not explain why he would talk like that if he was the same person

because in the old testament God never talk like that

Because God said I am ONE GOD

(1 Timothy 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus

It did not say three But one God

Lets COUNT what is says

ONE GOD/ 1point

One mediator/ 1point

1+1= 2 so there are 2 individuals

One being God the father (Jehovah)

One being mediator Son of God (Jesus) this one being with God in the beginning

How can this one Be God and be with him at the same time?

LETS SEE WHO WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD WHEN HE SAID LET'S MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE

(Proverbs 8:22-31) Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way, The earliest of his achievements of long ago. ( 1john 4:9 God sent his only-begotten Son) meaning created

23) From ancient times I was installed, From the start, from times earlier than the earth.
( he is the First born of all creation col 1:15)

24) When there were no deep waters, I was brought forth, When there were no springs overflowing with water.

25)Before the mountains were set in place, Before the hills, I was brought forth,

26)  When he had not yet made the earth and its fields Or the first clods of earth’s soil.

27)  When he prepared the heavens, I was there; When he marked out the horizon on the surface of the waters,

28)  When he established the clouds above, When he founded the fountains of the deep,
(Matthew 13:35 Jesus said: I will proclaim things hidden since the founding.

29)  When he set a decree for the sea That its waters should not pass beyond his order, When he established the foundations of the earth,
(John 17:24 Father, because you loved me before the founding of the world

30)  Then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time; (this ONE was with God in the begining John 1:2)

(John 8:29; And the One who sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him)

31)  I rejoiced over his habitable earth, And I was especially fond of the sons of men

This is Jesus here speaking
(Matthew 3:17) Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.

God was saying I approve myself ? and he was in heaven while still on earth? But Being God that he cannot die did die? but really didn't because he cant ? he just can not die like a human can
