Too immature and strong christian man/woman don't go hand in hand. If one is too imature than the individual isn't strong enough to be in a committed relationship under God.
I agree. We cannot assume everyone who gives off the appearance of a strong Christian actually is one.

So true. This is so out of context, but I've watched a movie before based on a true story about a pastor who sexually degrades his wife. How saddening is that.

Try giving answers that make them so awkward they don't want to continue the conversation.

Like 'I got an STD from a public toilet and the wo/men i date never believe me when i tell them'.

Usually, though, on the rare occasion someone asks me why i'm single i just say 'because no one wants me'. That makes it awkward enough for many people haha.

Me: Objection! - why are you still single, assuming something's wrong with being single at 40.

cinder: Overruled.

Me: Uhh.. God doesn't think I am ready. Yeah..

Because i believe in miracles? Lol!

Its hard to find a God-centered man, sensitive to others, self controlled, responsible, open and communicative and motivated by principle. They are all probably taken. It would literally take a miracle to find one.
Kinda summarizes my thoughts...just gotta change the word "man" to "woman". :: sigh ::

People are jealous of my sunglasses, no matter what pair I wear, I make them work. Very intimating unfortunately.

I figure I'm still single, because I'm looking for a partner that is probably a minority (Christian man who doesn't want kids) I'm also an introvert, and I'm chubby. Oh, and i need a partner that doesn't faint at the sight of syringes, :)

Because some guys just dont impress me much...

for example...

I've known a few guys who thought they were pretty smart
But you've got bein' right down to an art
You think you're a genius, you drive me up the wall
You're a regular original, a know-it-all

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you're a rocket scientist?

I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket
And a comb up his sleeve, just in case
And all that extra hold gel in your hair oughta lock it
'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you're Brad Pitt?

You're one of those guys who likes to shine his machine
You make me take off my shoes before you let me get in
I can't believe you kiss your car good night
Come on baby tell me, you must be jokin', right?
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you've got a car?

Okay, so what do you think you're Elvis or something?

That don't impress me much...

There are reason's why quoting Shania Twain is not going to make a woman look terribly smart.

"And I can be late for a date that's fineBut he better be on time

Any man of mine'll say it fits just right
When last years dress is just a little too tight

And anything I do or say better be okay
When I have a bad hair day

And if I change my mind
A million times
I wanna hear him say
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I like it that way"

And when I cook him dinner and I burn it black
He better say, "Mmm, I like it like that yeah"

So she paints a picture that a woman should want a man she can be dishonest with, walk all over and who will lie to her, just to make her feel better about herself.

"This is what a woman wants" -Shania Twain.

(Responding to Liamson's post) Don't understand why you can't use the first as an answer...maybe reworded a bit.

I tend to be forward and do use a modified version of it for my answer: Because I'm picky and find it incredibly difficult to find a gal that's compatible.

Should we really be picky though? At the end of the day, isn't it supposed to be a strong Christian woman, and a strong Christian man for the women? If there's chemistry between the two. Everything else is just external I feel like.
A person can be a strong Christian and...

-Can believe in infant baptism or baptism after confession of faith.

-Can believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today or believe the gifts ceased at the end of the first century.

-Can believe the elements of communion are symbolic, actually the body/blood of Jesus Christ(transubstantiation), or believe something else such as consubstantiation.

-Can believe in tithing or free-will offerings.

Then there are other issues where there should be no conflict but there still is...such as:

-What constitutes a legitimate marriage.
-Abortion.

These issues simply can't be overlooked and considered irrelevant when it comes to finding a suitable partner.
That would fall in the chemistry department like I mentioned. It would defeat the purpose of being with someone if you two had two completely different views of what Christianity meant.
You didn't clarify what you meant by chemistry...you just mentioned the word "chemistry".

So what are some examples of what you believe is "being too picky", which you mentioned just before the word "chemistry"?

Yes Shania portrays in her songs the different lives that women live but its the empowered one that I like the most.

Men should lie to their women sometimes not to make her feel better about herself but out of love, respect and appreciation of her sacrifices such as making a burned dinner.

actually, i'm more worried about the guys who believe this is really what women want... perish the thought.

There are always things a person can say to appreciate the effort made without lying. And I definitely believe in vocalizing appreciation for something (with sincerity).

Woman looks terrible in a dress she just bought? Man says, "I do like the color of that one, but THIS one looks more flattering on you. It really brings out the color of your eyes"

Woman burned the chicken for dinner? Man says, "Thanks for making dinner! The pasta is especially delicious."

etc etc.

Don't just make stuff up, but you CAN train yourself to notice the good things about a situation and focus on those instead.

Changing the subject or the focus is a good idea, although its a logical fallacy, its still effective and its funny also. I do it sometimes but I dont think men are good at it.
