If the Greatest Commandment is Matthew: 22:36-40

Matthew 22:36-40New Living Translation (NLT)

36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
And the Greatest Commission is Matthew 28:16-20

Matthew 28:16-20New Living Translation (NLT)

16 Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Then, what is the Greatest Hardship You Are Enduring?

2 Corinthians 4:8-15New Living Translation (NLT)

8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
11 Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. 12 So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.
13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”[a] 14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus,[b] will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

You may share the greatest hardship in the past and at present. How did you/do you overcome?

How did/do you overcome? With God's help. Leaning on Him, staying close to Him is the only way to get thru trials and addictions.

Thanks amymine712. Sometimes instead of staying close, we tend to staying lost. Thanks, i'll keep that in mind. :)

I could fill this whole thread on hard times I've endured......but what I have found each and every time...If I just trust God....and not worry or walk around feeling and looking beaten....I just smile shrug myshoulders and say....got nothing to worry about now... Gods got this one....everything is always taken care of...I really think its attitude....if we look at trials as opportunities instead of..... its the end...or doom and gloom...they don't seem so hard...a lot of us are so full of faith when times are going well.....but the minute that trial hitsus we panic and say we are having doubts...or say God doesn't hear us.....well let me tell you...He does hear...and when we hold that faith and love...We allow Him to do what He needs to do....if we don't....we take it awayfrom Him and we are on our own...so chins up..and thank God....everything is gonna be alright...

It reminds me of Alicia Keys' song entitled, "No One". I know this is not a Christian Song. Everytime doubts creep in, I usually sing to shut-off the negative voice on my mind and pray.

You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking they can say what they like
But all I know is everything's going to be alright

No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

Yes, everything's gonna be alright!

Your wisdom gained thru learnt experience, once again, I'm grateful for your reply.

I find it so hard to evangelize. Its been my struggle ever since I became a Christian. I have prayed about this matter but I remain not really worried about it and that's not a good thing. I feel like God's coming is now so obvious and here I am doing nothing.

Yup, Aya2011. That's one way of hardship as well. Right now, I am not involved in personal bible study with someone or bringing friends to church. I'm not that outwardly focus lately. Which reminds me, now that you have shared it. Thanks, my friend for bringing them out.

Well, that's what sisters and brothers do.

Every time I attempt to share the gospel, I always feel like like I'm not credible enough in sharing it. I just cant seem to open my mouth and share the salvation God has given me. I always feel condemned cus of my past mistakes. I just hope, in the soonest time, I can boldly share the gospel to those who needs it before Jesus' coming. Please include me in your prayers.

Jesus said........I will make you fishers of men......a fisherman uses bait and takes his time to reel in his catch.....a fisherman also has nets......our net is Jesus.....He does most of the work......
When we rely on just what we learn.....we feel unprepared....if we pray and ask God for the knowledge
and even the words to say.......He will provide you with those words.....and soon you will see.....the
amazing and wise words that come out of your mouth......we all have sinned and fallen short.......
There is no need to feel like the lone ranger.......just pray before you speak..........peace.....jo

Being single mother with no real outside financial help. We had some slim times, but thank God it felt as though He was always looking out for us like one time my car broke down and I didn't have it for about a month and a friend let me borrow one of their cars to get around. We had to eat scrambled eggs and a can of beans one night for dinner because it was all that was in the house until the next day when I got paid. But my daughter and I never went hungry. So for that I am truly thankful.

Melisa is 34 now and out on her own we made it and I know because God was watching out for us. During that time I was in and out of church but God took care of us anyway so I have much to be thankful for.

going to listen to people who had doubts....I claimed this gift and I believed she was gonna be
OK......I thanked God for this miracle He gave me .....that baby was perfect...so perfect I took her
home 7days later......that was 33 years ago.....she is my best friend....she has given me 3 awesome
grandchildren......and all I did was believe ......and trust our loving Father.........

You do not need to share/brow beat a person with the bible. Showing Christian love and charity is enough to open the doors to share your personal story about how God has worked in your life. Keep it simple and let God lead you.

Keep on coming jogoldie.

This thread might be taken as a redundant because we have a thread for Testimonies. You can put the link, or copy paste if you like, but if you can summarize it, better just like what's jogoldie's doing

Honestly, I haven't visit the Testimonies.. Life's struggle can be shared in a simple way. Because it is the greatest hardship, the ultimate. Then how you overcome and still overcoming it. Much as we'd like to read Testimonies (All for God's glory), time doesn't permit us to do so.

Take this as a training ground. How will you deliver it in an effective way, how can you impact the readers by sharing your greatest struggle. I once shared my testimony in our church and it took me 4 pages. haha!

We have a short tolerance on reading long threads. So keep it short, simple and impacting.

GLORY BE TO GOD!! AMEN! AMEN!

Going to the next one...
My best friend and the person who really showed me the real meaning of being the daughter of God....I kept her son while she worked and we were closer than my own sisters......she came to me
and matter of factly told me she had ovarian cancer.....she ask if anything happened would I raise her son.....I screamed at her....how can you be so calm......she said to me.....why after all this study
and prayer that I don't use my faith...was I calling God a liar.........now is the time to show our true faith......it was one of the biggest revelations I had experienced.....because after prayer and thanking God.....the day before her surgery....they were to check the progress of this awful thing.....
After checking and double checking.......it was clear.....no need to operate......all for the glory of God....
