Today..I took my grandson to orientation for kindergarten...,just him and me...we were given a back back full of supplies.....they do this for all the children.....what a blessing...
we got spongbob...he was soo happy...he tried so hard to make a friend....the other children were shy.....and wouldn't say anything....as we walked to our class...a child threw an empty container
of juice on the ground ....Tyler looked up to me and said why would they trash my school....
he picked up the trash and said maybe his new teacher had a trash can...
and I was worried.........

Some of you may not remember me but I remember you all very well and I used to post here quite frequently. Wow a lot has happened since last year. Backslid but the Lord brought me back last month and my life is so very different. I praise God for his grace, love , and mercy and am glad to see all of you. :)

I don't mean this in a rude way at all just an observation- I believe it's because of the coconut you all have tried. You probably have never had the real deal for example, if I eat anything that was prepared locally with coconut I will devour it. If I eat anything from the US with coconut it tastes really bad to me and I avoid it. I honestly believe that's the issue here.
Got to remember American companies love to put poison in the food.

It has been a very long day for me. I talked to my mom earlier, and she told me that my sister-in-law has been admitted into a hospital in Little Rock. She is 6 months pregnant and was having fluid building up. Specialists found a heart defect in baby Ellie and are talking about having to deliver her early. She is hooked to heart monitors, and they are trying to get some of the stuff off my sister-in-law so she can breathe easier. This is the kind of time I hate not living close to my family.
I talked to my mom this morning. She said that there does seem to be some improvement. From what I understand, which isn't much, the doctors are going to be giving Ellie more blood in utero and do another ultrasound tomorrow morning. I was told there must be some hope or they wouldn't try it.

Thank you all for the prayers.
UPDATE:

unfortunately, the baby, ellie, did not make it.

until they stabilize mom, chelsea, they are unable to deliver the baby.

please keep this family in prayers, both for the recovery of chelsea who remains in precarious health, and the painful loss of this little one.

Father God, we lift up this family to you, in a time of terrible loss. we ask you to comfort their hearts and ease their suffering in the wake of such pain. for that entire family, i pray that You would help them to feel Your mighty presence, that You would be their fortress in this time of storm.

we also ask for healing and restoration for chelsea. i ask You to give her strength to undergo all that is required during these next days and the delivery of this beloved child, in the wake of so much grieving.

finally, i ask that this would be a time of drawing near to You for this family. i pray that you would meet each of their needs, and that their hearts would be soft and open to You, and that they would find solace in Your arms.

Showed doc my right arm yesterday, where i have Phlebitis in that one now too. She sent me in to have it scanned today and they found a superficial blood clot. Pretty much the same thing as i had on my leg a while back.
Since they couldn't use either arm to draw blood yesterday, due to both arms now having Phlebitis they had to prick my finger, like to test blood sugar, and milk the blood out of my finger. I actually preferred this method, haha. But it doesn't get near as much blood as they normally need, so they had to limit what tests they could do. Apparently, as i learned today, trying to draw blood out of a vein with Phlebitis is pretty useless. So if it's still going on in 2 weeks, when i have my next visit, it'll be interesting to see what they have to do.
I can't handle giving injections to myself and the doctor seemed hesitant to put me back on the meds i took for my leg. I guess it's not great for kidneys and i already took it for six months in the past year. So they just have me on asprin to thin the blood so the clot resolves easier. Other than that just keep heat on it and try to keep it over my head as much as possible (ha!).

That is heartbreaking. Will pray for him and his family.

My sister wants me to cut her hair and do a bunch of different colored highlights in her hair before her wedding in two weeks. I...do not want to do this. Last time, it took lots of hours, and right now, she's mad at me for trying to fix my marriage, and I honestly just don't want to be around her for that long.

Would it be...I dunno, rude maybe? Selfish? To give her the money to get her hair done by someone else? Because that sounds like a good deal for both of us.
Giving money to someone is rarely if ever selfish. If she complains that you are giving her money to have her hair professionally done instead of doing it yourself that is her problem. You are being far more generous than I would as I would probably just say I don't have time or energy and leave her to find another way to get her hair done. Yeah it's probably a good thing I don't have any sisters.

The yard is a disaster, the veggie garden has been taken over by sunflowers and onions. There are thistles everywhere and grass where there shouldn't be grass. The trees that broke in last fall's blizzard are sprouting new branches like crazy, misshapen midget trees. Part of the fence is still down and buried under cut logs that should have been claimed by family long ago but they don't have time.

There's still a lot of sand in our water, which is destroying the plumbing and fixtures. The kitchen desperately needs a coat of paint and new hardware on the cabinets because they won't stay closed anymore. The unsealed hardwood floor needs cleaned...still not sure how to do that without getting it wet. Curtains need replaced and the basement needs cleaned.

The cats are still here and I still hate them, particularly when they bring grasshoppers and half-alive hummingbirds inside.

We don't have the money to fix all the stuff that needs fixed around here. We don't have the time to fix it as best we can as fast as I wish we could. We don't have a lot of things that would make stuff easier.

But we're figuring out how to be happy together with what we do have...a roof over our heads, a big yard to play with our kids in, work enough to keep us busy, a comfy couch, and each other. We pray together now...and that makes a world of difference.

It's not perfect. I was never looking for or expecting perfection. But...it's ours. Our family, our home, our marriage, our life...and it's worth fighting for.

I got teary-eyed when I read that you guys pray together now :'). Hope this continue to get better, despite the lack of home-fixing funds. (Sings "Our God reigns") (no asterisks on this lil keypad).

:'(. Will keep praying, but prayers redirected. I look forward to hugging little Ellie in Heaven some day, but for now she gets a better hug than any of us have ever had, from the One Who loves her the most. "Jesus, thank You for making things good in the end, despite the pain we have to go through. Still crying down here, though :'(. Was hoping and praying she'd make it. Didn't mean to type this much, but Hoss, if Chelsea is cognizant, maybe you could let her know that people she never met were praying and are mourning with her? I think it'd help her keep going. I think it would for me, anyway.

Thank you, whoever that was (Well, I think I know, but anyway). It might mean that I don't stop crying until I fall asleep, but it's all good :'). Let's all agree that Lav and Emily's situations change for the better, Lord willing, in addition to Chelsea being healed. Feel free to add anything, people.
