You never heard of good wine because you didn't live in Bibical times.
Neither did you, so you have no idea about what is what either.
You never heard of good wine because you didn't live in Bibical times.
You have been going at this for 45 pages and not one single person has changed their mind. So how much longer do you plan on beating a dead horse?
What does that have to do with the 75 warnings against alcohol I provided in Scripture?
I was saying Jesus was born of a virgin. The Jews lied about Jesus being born of fornication.
What do your Elders say when you revise the Bible?
I don't argue with your abstinence from alcohol, or that alcohol is a dangerous substance.
I am rebuking you for revising the Bible just to say so.
The Bible doesn't say unfermented. Why must you?
The Bible stands as is. There is no benefit to adding doctrine to it, only benefit in taking doctrine from it.
Do you have an answer for the rebuke, or will you just continue in your ways.
Proverbs has many verses about ignoring rebuke.
They are warnings about getting drunk, not drinking. One more time, IF I drink a mouthful of wine am I drunk?
Neither did you, so you have no idea about what is what either.
Listen wine is wine it is not unfermented grape juice. A lie is a lie sin is sin and wine is wine! Sheese. Everything is not that complex!NT Saints can drink intoxicating beverages soberly and moderately in private; But I encourage the brethren to walk the higher road out of love (And not as a commandment).
OT Saints did not have the same liberty in Christ that we do. They could not eat certain meats and or even look at alcoholic drinks.
This is way out of contextNT Saints can drink intoxicating beverages soberly and moderately in private; But I encourage the brethren to walk the higher road out of love (And not as a commandment).
OT Saints did not have the same liberty in Christ that we do. They could not eat certain meats and or even look at alcoholic drinks.
Your the one calling good evil! I dont care what the wine was composed of. I believe what was said and he said it was good, the best! Im not qualified to judge Christs wine. So I will take his word for it but YOU are calling good evil. He sent it over to one who was qualified (symbolic of the Father) His mother did not said "make welch's grape juice" or "trick them" she said "wine"
I know because of the testimony of Scripture.
I'm simply amazed at the biblical illiteracy on this thread.
If you think new wine is fermented then you're biblically illiterate.Another filthy degrading comment from the King James Only Cult, this is another one of those nasty tactics employed, where when the argument is being lost, out comes the sweeping statement denouncing the other camps arguments being invalid becuase of whatever, in this case because of the biblical illiteracy of those who do not agree.
I don't have superior knowledge I just believe the bible... new wine is found in the cluster. I've never gotten drunk eating grapes off the vine. There you go again with your accusations and implying you have "superior knowledge", throwing these tantrums is just another way to derail, deflect and just start the whole circle again.
I agree, God doesn't forbid the drinking of alcohol. I drink alcohol from time to time... some times more than a little lol.So lets look at this again, point of the First post? To support temperance. Tons of words, tons of cherry picked verses, to try and prove that alcohol is bad full stop. However you have yet to prove that God forbids the drinking of alcohol.
If God did not want us to drink alcohol it would be a direct law or commandment, "Do not drink alcohol".
It would be in the Levitical laws, but as I pointed out the only law in Leviticus which deals with drink is:
Leviticus 10:9
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations:
Again I point out to you that all the other verses about consumption of alcohol is about not getting drunk on it and warning of addiction of it.
Very clear, very precice and exact, but of course when you have to work hard to try to prove a theology or agenda and you end up making hundreds of lengthy posts to support the agenda or theology, then usual it means that the theology or agenda is wrong.
I have made a very clear and simple point using the Bible and it says what it says, God is clear on the matter, if any alcohol was evil, then it would have been banned in levitical law and there would be clear instruction against the brewing of it, but there is not, just verses which you try to interpret as that.
So again I say it dosn't matter how many times you bleat on about strength of wines, it proves nothing.
And you should be. But remove that beam from your own eye first, eh?I'm simply amazed at the biblical illiteracy on this thread.
Acts 2:13 "Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine."Originally Posted by KJV1611I haven't been following this thread very closely, but the bible is crystal clear that new wine is not fermented.
They were full of new wine.... not alcoholic wine and not grape juice. New wine is the Holy Spirit. And you should be. But remove that beam from your own eye first, eh?
