you do realize that there are thousands of christans being slaughtered all over the world right? we have it easy. for the last 200 years christianity has ruled the government and this antionn forcing its beliefs on people.and quite frankly its sickening you think itrts ok for kids to read the bible in class but one kid brinngs in a quran you will be crying seperation of church and state. trying to force them to make laws to keep the kids who read bibles in school the ability to do so. this christian rights movement is not for the good of the church its to get more rights than others every group does it but its the worst in the church. i dont think many christians in the church realuze hgow easy they got it. they can pray in public have worship in public and freely practice the religion in ublic (dont try to deny it ive seen it done in many cities)

I believe you're confused. I have not said I am for the people who trample the rights of others. Quite frankly you presume much. This thread addresses Christianity and it was Christians to whom I addressed my remarks. Our rights, our persecution, our oppression in matters of lawful constitutional rights in government tax payer supported public education systems,etc...

I like you 'pack heat' and I'm ready to use it if attacked. This shows my impatience and frustrations and not willing to wait for the return of Christ who will judge all my attackers and give them the justice I'm so willing and able to give them. Without any doubt I struggle every day with 'impatience' and I pray that the Lord helps me with this problem. I seem to put more trust in my Smith & Wesson (my chariots and horses?) than in my God. One of my many faults.

However, if ever the day arrives that I come across a piece of human waste that is trying to rape, rob, kill, injure, or take their way with any family member, friend or stranger in need I will pull out "my two friends Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson" while giving them a chance to accept Christ now because they're about ready to meet Him. I could never live with the guilt if I stood by and did nothing. I could only hope that Jesus in my day of judgement would forgive me for my sin.
Blatant hypocrisy. To even suggest christians force their morality upon others is hypocrisy. The entire homosexual agenda and abortion are forcing secular ideas upon us. We say something about it and wallah! We are bigots.
There is freedom of religion here, except for christian it seems. We have a moral standard and that is hate speech.
The ideals you foster, condone and promote are societal destructors. We have the right as citizens of this country and as christians to stand against such hurtful ideals as the murder of babies and the destruction of the traditional family.

I only act in lawful self-defense. Nothing more, nothing less. My firearm training and adherence to ALL federal, state, and local law is 100% complete and 100% in compliance and I carefully read all new laws and comply. I also use a licensed reputable local private security company for annual training.
Fortunately, I live in a country that has a clear 2nd amendment right.
Unfortunately, I live in a nation populated by immoral liberals that like street gangs and criminality and can't figure out how to act right and therefore pose a clear and present danger in every urban area I've ever lived in to the law abiding citizens around them myself included. Ironically they are deceived into thinking that not acting right is OK but allowing law abiding citizens their Constitutional right to defend themselves is not OK.
Because of THEM, may God help us all.

The Bible tell us to be prepared, be wise, be innocent, pray always, trust God, live at peace with all people as best as we can, etc... I do not see these as mutually exclusive but all one thing. We do them ALL."

This is off base biscuit, and another way to play a blame game.
There are just as many Republicans and their supporters that want to put Christians on the hate group/terrorist list. Not to mention the ones that want to police the world, militarize our police force, and form a one world government.
We need to get away from blaming democrats over republicans, or vise versa for they are just like denominations in the church. Some are good and do right, but others are bad and misuse what they have.
Speaking political groups, one is not more Christian than the other, that is a false assumption of many taught to keep people sided with that group.
Partisanism divides this nation in twain. A nation divided cannot stand. Jesus reminded us of something similar in that respect in Mark 3.

I have not been pleased with any of the past/current 5 presidents. Not one of them have done anything great for our society.
4 screwed up our economy ( Bush, Bush jr., Regan, Obama ), and one tried to fix the economy but caught up in scandals ( Clinton ).
Then you have a Congress that needs to be totally revamped. For it is not for the people.
Christianity is dying in America because we are being forced to accept and live by other peoples standards.

BTW, I am an Independent and despise both parties and stay away from politics in general. Bush was a bad president and so is Obama because of their political agenda, which doesn't serve the people. No need to play the blame game because both parties are guilty as sin.
I mentioned the Democrats because they control two-third of the political structures and their policies are not aligned to the Scriptures. Did you know that the DNC wanted to take the word GOD out of the party's motto? It became such an outrage that the DNC decide to drop the idea. There are dozens more anti-Christian agendas that I could give.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Republicans are just as guilty. Nothing makes Jesus more angry than neglecting the poor. And I could give dozen more examples that are anti-Christian in nature committed by the Republicans.
I used the Democrats because they have the majority of the power base that exists today and it is their policies that is reshaping the landscape of America and worldwide. Elimination of "don't ask, don't tell and not fighting same sex marriages are two more national. Not establishing an agenda to place accountable for not enforcing human rights when it comes to persecuting & killing Christians.

When Congress threatens to shut government down and thereby affect the electorate in the worst ways, we've got a problem with communications. The Legislative branch apparently imagines they rule the nation as totalitarians, rather than as representatives of the people serving at our pleasure when we cast our vote and trust to let them in that office to represent us. And our best interests.
The cliquish attitude of party members who regress to a playground level so as to say what amounts to; we don't like you, so we're taking the ball and going home!
Is not an example of fit leadership. Each party is diametrically opposed to the other. And in that tug-o-war the people are the one's that suffer regardless of which side gets pulled across the line the most.
Now, we have those aligned to party interests and their hope of being career politicians in office, that are abandoning moral principles at the behest of the immoral and their party platform that broadcasts political correctness is achieved through abdication of morals, common sense, and decency.
The tide is turning from the righteous road to the gutter trail. And our elected officials are still getting paid, and re-elected, as they stamp the way through the muck and push through in the gutter to the deeper depths. While those who try to lead the throng up and out of the trench are labeled, bigot and intolerant, for their trouble.
But the division helps those who would lead this nation straight into the pit. Because if we are kept apart due to the manufactured differences we're told divide us, we'll never unite on common ground and through the creeps out.
The forefathers of this nation, being where they came from and the government and oligarch climate that existed there, should have foreseen what would bode for the future if they didn't put term limits on all three branches of government from the beginning.
As it is, the Legislative now has to vote by 2/3rds majority to limit themselves and amend the constitution.
I see that happening. When we have Senators that retire or die near the century mark in age, it's a vote that's sure to come any day now.
Christianity is dying in America because it is easier to be lazy and depraved and pander to the evil that argues it has a right to be proud and free, rather than fight and maintain a standard that continues to defend morality with the retort: NO! No, it does not!
Depravity and immorality are not things that need to be tolerated.
We don't have to fight for tolerance unless it is something that is otherwise intolerable. That's when the standard flies that demands tolerance. When what is demanding a right to be proud in America is not otherwise tolerable. And when morality is called bigotry, we've got a very serious schism in comprehension skills in America.
Because indecency is so much easier to express. Living with character takes work! Some people are just lazy.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
It is a pet peeve of mine when I see some one try to claim or give an argument that one political party is more Christian than another. I took what you said that way, but am glad to hear that is not how you think.
Both parties agenda's have gone far away from the Christian way of life/standards. They have accepted and adopted other peoples rights and beliefs, and instead of them being options, they are being forced on us as well.
If we argue about it, or protest we are labeled as hate groups. Some people who are apart of Democrats and Republicans alike have wanted for the past 6 years been trying to label us as Christians as domestic terrorists.
I do believe we are not to force our ways on others, as our Lord Jesus said not to, but we should not be forced to accept their ways either.

President Richard Nixon was a an avowed racist and anti-Semitic but he put that aside because he said that his power were entrusted to him by the American people and took an oath to empower the poor and those in need.
Pres. Nixon actually did more to empower Black people than Bill Clinton or Barack Obama because he was committed to fulfilling his oath as President of the United States.

In my opinion I think it will take nothing less than a full out movement against the government before something gets done.
Of what I have seen in the past elections, I don't have confidence that the voting system truly works any more.
Look at how many discrepancies there has been in the voting system in the past.
Example: Bush lost ( But they screamed for a recount, and the state that was in question Bushes uncle was governor or mayor; can't remember which for sure. After the recount all of sudden now Bush won. )
Then the last two elections against Obama, the republican party picked the worse candidate out of who was running for that position to go against Obama. They had better suited candidates that the people liked more, but some how the worse ones got chosen.
I have no trust that the people actually have a voice any more in our voting system. The only voice we have is to actually step up and voice our thoughts in protest on how we feel. To many will not do that though, they will just sit back and complain from their home but not stand up publically.
