Isn't the tabernacle a type for the temple? Isn't the temple a type for the spiritual temple?
The tabernacle was for the Israelites and those came out with them from Egypt by faith in the Holy One of Israel through Moses.
The temple was for the Israelites and those who turned to the same faith in the Holy One of Israel.
The spiritual temple is for the Israelites and gentiles who turn to the faith in the Word of God who is the Holy One of Israel.
That's it man. Right on target.

OK explain to everyone including me how you come to the conclusion that the new covenant can work without a priest, and without sacrifice.

You are right in saying that I cannot comprehend the new covenant without reference to the temple worship. It just doesn't compute with me.

How does the new covenant work without sacrifice?
What is the promise of the new covenant?
A question with a question
You tell me explaining how it works without sacrifice.
You don't know what is the promise of the new covenant?

I was beginning the explanation you asked for, but I prefer not to spoon feed you
until I have to, and would rather help you to see it for yourself.

Now, if you don't know what the promise of the new covenant is, consult Jer 31:31-34,

and then give me your answer.

Isn't the tabernacle a type for the temple? Isn't the temple a type for the spiritual temple?
So what is the spiritual temple in Heb 8:1-6?

The tabernacle was for the Israelites and those came out with them from Egypt by faith in the Holy One of Israel through Moses.
The temple was for the Israelites and those who turned to the same faith in the Holy One of Israel.
The spiritual temple is for the Israelites and gentiles who turn to the faith in the Word of God who is the Holy One of Israel.
So what is the spiritual temple for the people of God in Heb 8:1-6?

None of this is relevant to Heb 8.

Review in post #288, here, what Heb 8:1-6 means in its context.

If you disagree, show in the context of Hebrews why it is incorrect.

Good grief! A question with another question. That's not an answer. I want your take on how the new covenant works without blood sacrifice. I don't know how that works and I want an answer that makes sense if there is one.

I want you to tell me how the New Covenant works without sacrifice. I think that's a straight and forward question.

I think that's a straight and forward question.
And this is how I am answering it.

First, we have to understand the terms, starting with "new covenant."

So what are the promises of the new covenant?

I can't give you any more of the answer until we are on the same page regarding this.

So , in your opinion what are the terms of the new covenant? I say it starts with sacrifice, what do you say?

The question is: what are the promises of the new covenant?

This is not a trick question.
This is for the sake of understanding.

Calm down and relax.

If we take out the temple and the High Priest, then we have taken away the Holy Spirit from within and the duties of Jesus as our High Priest.

May God help us if ever the New Covenant was without a temple and a High Priest.

May God have mercy upon us if we were to ever take away the Sacrifice from the New Convent.

No the question is the same one that I asked yesterday 3 times and 2 times today. You answer mine first from yesterday, and then we can address your question of today.

I first asked you "OK explain to everyone including me how you come to the conclusion that the new covenant can work without a priest, and without sacrifice."

So you answer my question with questions, an then tell me what the question should be? Get real. You sound like a liberal politician on fox news. LOL

What makes you think I need to calm down and relax?:rolleyes:

You asked the first question, if you are not interested in my answering it
in the way I think is most instructive, that is fine with me.

I was simply responding to your request.

What makes you think I need to calm down and relax?:rolleyes:
All this agitation and defensiveness over "questions."

I am okay with not answering your first question.

Well then. If you endorse that the sacrifice and the priesthood have nothing to do with the new covenant I think it reasonable to ask why you believe that. I don't deny that the new covenant has numerous blessings according to Jeremiah. I think you're the one being agitated.

The tabernacle is in heaven, and our High Priest is seated at the right hand of the throne of Majesty
performing his duty of interceding for those who are his own.

You're going in circles.

This takes us back to your not liking the way I answer your question.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come , by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say , not of this building; Hebrews 9:11

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9

Looks like in the future the tabernacle will be on Earth.

Revelation 21:1-4
1Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[SUP]a[/SUP] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[SUP]b[/SUP] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Actually, God dwells within his people now in the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Yes, that is the true tabernacle in heaven of Heb 8:2.

Sounds somewhat paralell with this scripture

Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 Behold, the days come , saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake , although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying , Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
