The new covenant with Christ Jesus

We musty keep in mind that God's plan of salvation has always been the same for all ages. It is the plan of the eternal cov. of Grace/seen in Rom.8:29-30. it is completed in the New Cov. ratified by Jesus. But before Jesus came, the elect of the OLD T. age were all saved the same way we are , by Grace, thru faith, unto good works. Love to all. Hoffco

1 Corinthians 15:47-49 relates directly with the understanding that Jesus gave to Nicodemus in John chapter 3 verses 6 thru 13. 1 Corinthians says, “The first man is of the earth, **earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

The point is being made in scripture that there is a new life for the person while on earth through Christ Jesus. If the first were/is spiritual, then the new life would be an earthy one. The point being that the spiritual life in Christ comes second, not first.

Now continuing with John 3:6-13. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth , and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh , and whither it goeth : so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be ? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? *Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know , and testify that we have seen ; and ye receive not our witness. **If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe , if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.”

Jesus says in verse 11 *Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. (John 3:11)
One can "testify" only what he has "seen", and what he knows.

Then He says in verse 12 **If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? (John3:12)
Christ was qualified to testifyabout "heavenly things" because He has seen it, having come from there!

He said to a group of Jews elsewhere, Him being the Creator of Heaven and earth.
Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. (John 8:23)

There is no one who can teach about Heaven like Christ because He was the only one that has come fromHeaven! The prophets, who have seen Heaven, saw it only in visions. And if they had authority to speak about Heaven because of what they had seen, how much more Christ could speak about Heaven and spiritual things having been the only Person that came down from there!

In that context He told Nicodemus to confirm the truth about being born again.
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. (John 3:11-13)
"The Son of man which is in Heaven" (John 3:13) simply means Christ belongs to Heaven, He has come from Heaven, and is going to Heaven. That is His place, and as Jesus saw Nathaniel under the tree praying (John 1:48) proves He can be in more that one place at a time.

Nicodemus did not argue with Christ (as he did about being born again,) when Christ told him "No man has ascended to Heaven", because he knew what Christ meant.

Yes jesus is we are saved by grace upheld by truth ,grace and truth covenant in the spirit now what i want to.discuss is something rather touchy what i wish to discuss is the new covenant structure i will start a new thread but will outline the specifivs of this covenant for i see an urge to unite the church together i have been in consultarion with the Holy Ghost over this matter and it is time .

Or maybe it just means what it states,
that he, as God, was in heaven when he, as man, made the statement on earth.

So you're saying that Jesus is God, because only God is in more than one place at a time.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek , shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come , saith the LORD of hosts.

Matthew 26:26-28
26 And as they were eating , Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said , Take , eat ; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks , and gave it to them, saying , Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

This new covenant provides what the others could not: remission of sins like being healed from a deadly disease unlike (but not apart from) being covered as in atonement. It provides a way of restoring our relationship to God in a way that had not been done before. God the Father and His Son Christ Jesus are the initiators, and in Matthew 26 we see Jesus the Son of God extending the invitation to join in the New Covenant. He offered His own self, His own flesh, His own blood, as the covenant sacrifice. This shows me God is a SACRIFICIAL God.
Old Testament Covenants have a lot to do with us today. From the promises made and the signs given, a picture emerges of who my God is and what He’s like. He is saving, loving, faithful, and sacrificial.

Each covenant involved pain and the shedding of blood. A covenant comes with a cost, yet God willingly pays it for us, and He loves us enough to ask us to join in covenant with Him.
I can’t help but see how the covenants are all meant to show what God is like to the world. Each reveals the character of our holy, loving, amazing God. Being in covenant with Him means I promise to show Him to the world … today, tomorrow, and until He comes and every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus is Lord.

We’re in good company with Noah, Abraham, and Israel as the reflection of our covenant.

God does more than just invites us to His eternal plan of salvation; God elects us in Christ's Love to salvation, and in time, God powerfully, effectually makes us spiritually alive to Himself and to holiness so God applies the benefit of salvation to us. God makes us new creations in Christ. Jh. 3 and 2cor5:17-ff Eph.1:18-1:10 etc. etc. Love to all, Hoffco
