Like what? I'm all ears.
Marriage is beautiful. Waking up next to someone and snuggling when you're all sleepy is nice. Having someone to talk to about your terrible day at work is priceless. Taking road trips and watching movies and having crazy two-person game nights is exciting. Having someone to spur you on when you just don't wanna fill-in-the-blank anymore. Raising kids together is truly wonderful...

However, singleness is beautiful too. Somehow, there seems to be less financial burden. So much less responsibility. Freedom to do and be and discover who and what you are as an individual. Ability to paint your livingroom whatever the heck color you want to. Yeah... being single is awesome too. :)

Don't you find that things become more limited to you as you get older though? Birthdays never use to be this emotionally hard on me. Some opportunities are slipping away.
I hope not....im 55 and in good shape....im strong...im fit....I was riding my bike 50 miles a week...
before I got hit by that car....I have no limitations and feel real good....as much energy as when I was 20..
I even had a baby at 38 yrs old....no problems....I havent found any limitations...and to tell you
the truth I think there is only limitations if you let there be.....unless there is illness.....but I take no
medications.....and I can still do it all.....no limitations here....

sure! How many square km do you want? :p
We are the 7th largest country in the world by land area. Send them all. There is more than enough room here. :p

Plus, some areas are reeling under water scarcity. We need those clouds ASAP. Could you Fedex them?

Draw near to God

Jesus is near

The end of all things is near.

Think of posting my message on blog.

I got some organic/vegan/gluten-free/high-protein pancake and baking mix today. This could go one way or the other - really good, or really bad. But I'll be conducting plenty of experiments with it before I have my final conclusion.

When in doubt, drown in butter and maple syrup.

AMEN!

Or, depending on the food, just butter. Even plain old meat-and-tomato-sauce spaghetti turns into something wonderful if you melt in a lot of butter.

zeroturbulence: I dunno about that car... maybe they got pixellated? ;)

I add butter to my spaghetti sauce. Only a tablespoon or two, but it works.

I might make those pancakes up tonight and freeze them so I can eat them in the morning (I'm typically very lazy in the morning...so unless there's some pretty darn good motivation involved, I'm probably going to head straight for the coffee pot and the toaster or whatever).

well, now you've asked for it. So you want to here the streams of consciousness from the mind of a scatter brained person? Here it goes:
...wow, how is my kitchen still a mess? Seems like i just cleaned it yesterday. Oh, yes, the bread making. never did get to that bowl. Oh well, no time now. Time... what time is it? Ah, 10 til 10. Got only 10 minutes till bed, I've got work in the morning again. Grr, I hate waking up early. I should try to do exercises when I get up, that should get me more awake. Ah, who am I kidding? I never have the energy, or motivation, to do exercises in the morning. Don't know why, it's not like it would take much to wake me up. Maybe if I just get more sleep. No, excessive amounts of sleep is a waste time. I already waste so much time as it is. So lazy. I hate it when people ask me what I do in my free time and all I can think of is all those hours wasted on the TV and computer. My life is so BORING! hum, what can I do to change that? Need a hobby... I should get back into the martial arts. I had fun while I was doing that. Oh wait, I'm forgetting about my injured finger. Stupid finger, stupid table saw. It is amazing how one careless hand placement can ruin your favorite digit. Well, maybe not favorite, but it was definitely in the top ten. Luckily, I'm a lefty. Still, its amazing to see how much your grip can suffer from just one finger's lack of contribution. come to think about it, the hand itself is pretty awesome in of itself. have you ever stopped to think about your hand? We have a perfect, complex tool attached to our arms that can operate and create anything that we put our minds to (if we have the resources). Powered by bio-electrical interactions using the foods we eat, moved with precision under the influence of nerves through complex chemical signals to the muscles, and held together with the proteins making up the cells of the joints and tendons. I must therefore give you applause oh God. Only You could have made such a marvelous thing. I wish we could make a battery that was as efficient as our body's power source. Just think, a bumble bee can stay in flight for miles powered only by honey, but we can't seem to keep a quadcopter in the air for more than 15 minutes on a charge of the battery. Oh, crap... 10:30. Time to sleep. Oh, well. Random response over. Fox out.

I woke up from a nap this afternoon and went to sit out on the porch with a cup of coffee. I was pretty groggy- it was a terrible nap. Why? Who knows? Anyway, so out of nowhere (or maybe from down the street, which I guess is more likely), three young men in crisp white shirts and black ties appeared at the front gate, and I think we exchanged greetings, and I might have told them my name, and then pretty soon they were sitting on the porch with me and asking me all sorts of questions about my faith.

I spent an hour politely listening to Mormon missionaries. These poor kids were experiencing some pretty major culture shock. They couldn't believe the streets here aren't paved. They were amazed at the neighbors, who were outside burning stuff and yelling at their kids. They were dumbfounded that people here have a 60 mile commute.

I asked them if they came out to save us heathens.

I was totally kidding...but they were eerily earnest when they said "Yes! Though, of course, we don't see you as heathens, just lost."

...oh. Well, in that case...

At any rate, they gave me a copy of The Book of Mormon, a card with a number to call if I actually read the book and have any questions, and went on their way, threateni- er, promising to come back in a week or so to talk about what I've read.

I find this unfortunate. Because I had no intention of actually reading it. I told them I probably wouldn't. But now I sort of want to so that when they come back, I'll be able to tell them exactly what it is I don't agree with, and why I won't be converting, and why I believe what I believe and...

On the other hand, I have pretty much zero interest in reading it, and about the same amount of motivation and time to do so.

Maybe they won't come back. Maybe the hillbilliness of this place will have scared them off.

...they're totally going to come back.
*sigh*
