Here's a list of the ten comandments:

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

This may come as a surprse, but I didn't see one thing on their saying that I can't get a tattoo if I wanted, or give my lip a hole.

Hold up! So are you now saying that if the tattoo glorifies God, than it is good?

no im not, but that has been one of the main points FOR tattoos. i think tryingtofindhim said it also...

also...the ten commandments are not the only rules we were asked to live by..

there r ones like

dont have sex with an animal

dont have sex with ur sister..

there r alot more rules in the bible that then 10 commandments

Well if you aren't saying that, than you can't argue that as one of your points.

I realise they are not the only rules we are to live by. Now inscest is a WHOLE different topic. Their are several counts of incesest in the bible.

Wow! thank's for dissing my parents! I think that was rude of you and it kind of pissed me off to be honest! It doesn't bring glory to Christ and it doesn't not bring glory to Christ. Kind of like eating.

My lip ring is officialy gone! I still have my eyebrow and two transverse lobes, but the lip is gone.

Well it had got infected, yet I have no clue why because I have had it for like 5 months. And I just took it out and it healed over real quick because of the infection, but it's not that bad. I will get it re-pierced, but not any time soon. For now I am leaving it out because of lacrosse, but in like 2 years I will probably get it again, lol. It's not the end of the world, just a piercing, although I really did like it.

all written in the book of Matthew if memory servers me correct, you should find these requests in chapters 5 through 9.

Lol, well I didn't really get it for what others thought, I got it for me, showing whatI like and not caring what others think. I will be getting it again, but not until right before I go away to college. so like another 2ish years.

No, I don't have any. When it comes to pain, I'm quite the sissy. :eek:

But on another note, the old testament law of not having any piercings or tattoos is because back then, it was a pagan thing to do - a ritual of some sort. That's the Leviticus quote you got from someone. It's really more of a matter of lust, pride, and vanity which is usually accompanied by these activities and is something that affects everyone in all areas of life - not just makeup, tattoos, or piercings. Say, for example, slimming down because one wants to be thin like all the other girls or bulking up only because one wants to fit in with the other guys. So, it really has everything to do with your reason - what your heart is telling you.
