Laughter is the best medicine. Yes, I agree to that. But a person with laughter, a lighthearted one, like you blueorchidjd is the very best!

So ISIS doesn't like us. We've revoked passports of any of members that are originally from Canada as a big screw off, you go and play with the jerks of the world, you get locked out. And the whole buddying up with US and others against them.

They told us that they will make it so we won't even feel secure in our bedrooms. Whatever that means. But it has us talking and in Canadian-fashion, joking. Talks about training our vicious geese to protect homes, see if they'll be able to brave the winters, putting blades on the ends of hockey sticks as weapons, a Calgary MP Tweeted in response to the bedroom threat, a picture of her relaxing in bed with a hashtag #securebedroomselfie. But jokes aside, apparently we have one of the most underrated armies in the world, I hope that's true.

These stray cats are very annoying. The moment we start cooking some fish they come and meow outside our window.

I retract my prayer request since there seems more debate than prayer over it.

I think so. There should be no debate if it was brought privately. Satan at the opportune time used the motivation of the heart to engage two people to debate. Anyway, this matter always between me and God alone. Cinder and God alone.

I'm sorry.

To be honest, i don't think your army will be involved in this. It will be an internal issue and most countries have a policy that forbids the army from combating internal security threats. It is because a country's army cannot fight its own citizens. If I am right, I hope your police and homeland security forces are well equipped to deal with the fall out. I am praying for those nations affected by IS.

The US and other undisclosed allied countries just begun air strike tonight against them in Syria. Our special ops military has been involved only with advising, and we're putting millions of dollars towards humanitarian aid against ISIS. But it's enough to get them mad. Yeah my concern is homeland security. Civilian protection.

Anyone else remember the tv show Isis from the 70's? I used to watch it so of course it's the first thing I thought of when I heard the name ISIS in the news. The tv character is actually an egyptian goddess/superhero who has the power of animals and the elements at her call. I guess this show won't be making a comeback any time soon. :(

Be deliberate. Take the initiative. Be proactive.

I'm trying to describe my internal dialogue of late, without using buzzwords and I'm failing miserably.

Attack life, before life gets the chance to attack you. Do it when you know its right, not when you finally get permission.

Your actions are faster than your reactions. You would do better to seize the initiative than to adapt to the situation.

Go after the things that are important to you, before someone else does.

Good things may come to those who wait, but its really just the leftovers of what was the best thing.

Everything you love is subjective, and will hold more value to you than anyone. This is not up for debate or compromise, what is best for you may not always be explainable or articulated well but, that does not remove its value. Don't let others steal your joy or rob you of your treasure or devalue the things that matter most to you.

This is what makes the story of Jacob so heartbreaking. He fell in love and then settled. Don't be Jacob.
