I realize that you disagree with the truth and choose to continue in the deception you're under and, of course, I did reply to your perambulation.

I completely disagree with you. Also, you have failed to address most of my argument. However, I am out of time this evening.

Actually, Jesus used real world examples called parables. So you're belief is unbiblical. Also, Paul quotes secular works. The Bible tells you to count a number as a part of wisdom and the Scriptures declare the magnificence of God's creation, which is not His Word. In other words, you would have to close your eyes to even the Bible itself just to fit a false belief that you have about God and His Word.

You say the scripture declare declare the magnificence of God's creation, which is not His Word. but it is his word ...by his word he created the worlds...Those who believe God use secular work to show those who do not believe, the power and reality of God and they still will not believe....A believer of God does not use secular work to convince himself or another believer of God....It is God who gives faith, and if that faith is not proof enough for you and you need secular proof then your faith is not in God but in the secular proof of God...One who goes around trying to prove God is real using secular work ...is himself not convinced of God...

If something is beyond our consciousness that says to me we are unaware of it. I am not sure how we could form a belief about something, the existence of which we are not aware. Perhaps I am not understanding what you mean by "beyond our consciousness"?

And yes, please to meet you. :)

by 'beyond' I mean 'in addition to'... we know our own consciousness exists... things in addition to that? the chair I'm sitting on, the sun in the sky... would you agree that acceptance of that requires belief?

You did reply, but there were points I raised you did not address.

Would it be possible to break your posts up so that each element you are typing follows the part of my post that you are responding to? Sometimes I find it difficult to judge which part of my post you are actually answering when you respond in one long rebuttal. Thanks.

I am still not sure I am following. Yes, we know our consciousness exists in that we are self-aware. Do I know that my chair exists? Yes. Do I know that the sun exists? Yes.

I wouldn't say the chair I am sitting on or the keyboard I am using to type this post is beyond my consciousness. I think talking about physical objects this way just muddies the water. If by belief you mean faith, then do I require faith to believe my chair or the sun exists? Definitely not.

Do I have a particular belief about this chair I am sitting in? No. It's a chair. It's a comfortable chair, but it is just a chair. Do I have particular beliefs about the sun? I suppose I do. I have a lot of scientific knowledge about the sun and its place in the galaxy and all this information can be verified.

It is one thing to hold beliefs about objects and things that you see and measure. It is something else all together to claim beliefs about things that you cannot see or measure. Don’t you think?

You may want to clarify your question a bit further.

we're still not quite on the same track... we'll try a different approach... are you dreaming now? if you say no, how do you know that?
