I have to admit I have a real problem with this. I remember when I was first saved, a Jehovah Witness put one of their little leaflets through my door and there was a little bit about Hell in there, I know that what was written in that leaflet wasn't Biblical but it did make me feel better. It described Hell from the JW point of view, suggesting that the "pit" described in the Bible was simply a grave - so the unsaved were simply buried and that was as bad as it got. I struggle with the truth of Hell - all my family are unsaved and my parents do not deserve to suffer the torment of Hell but seemingly this awaits them. I pray for my family but so far nothing has changed.

So where is Hell? How can such a place exist? I have heard there are varying degrees of suffering depending on the depth of sin one has committed during their lifetime. I guess I just want someone to make be feel better about this, I really don't want Hell to be literal, it's a burden I carry.

Im sorry to say hell is real. I know because I was taken there once most likely because God wanted me to warn people about what lies ahead of them if they do not come to him.

I wont go into details because I dont want to worry you further but yes hell is real and its as bad as ppl say it and worse

I hear you! Hell is a most difficult question, but we can't discount such as the parable of Lazarus and the rich man (our Lord never misleading), that there is a place of torment, the warnings of it being a terrible thing to fall into the hands of a Holy God, pluck an eye out, cut off a hand, or is that arm, worm not dying, etc. Our Lord Jesus actually spoke more of hell than paradise.

I know I don't understand, have some thoughts I'd not repeat that can't be proven, but this is one of those things where faith really kicks in, for me the bottom line is trust in God, that He is righteous and just, His will be done. I know it's not something you'd like to hear, but, whatever the news, it's certainly not good for the unrepentant in the New Testament.

As for the JWs, don't try to take anything you hear from them to the bank.

The biggest problem is that the atheist/agnostic has no fear of Hell because if neither God nor Heaven are real to you then neither is Hell. They see death as the end for all. I am fortunate because I can still remember the way I thought as an agnostic, it helps me when speaking to the unsaved and Hell isn't something you spend days and nights thinking about, that only becomes real to a believer. I know my parents are not ready to talk about Jesus, Heaven of Hell. No one knows my parents and my children better than I do (except for God) and I know they aren't ready so praying is all I can do for them right now. I feel bad about this because I know I'm responsible for enlightening them - my hands are tied and it's not a good feeling.

So do we go to hell right when we die? Or do we all go to heaven and get judged, then are sent to hell?

This is a very controversial topic. Gathering every Scripture about hell is necessary to have full understanding. Contrary to the belief of most Christians, the truth is quite a comfort.
The topic is controversial, but you have the truth? People really should qualify their truths with "my truth" or "what I believe" or "what my cult believes," and not gloss over such as the clear fate of the rich man or the dire warnings of the Lord Jesus as anything to find some false comfort over.

That study, when studied, does not line up with the entirety of the Word. Theories abound, but the truth is one.

There is nothing to debate. It is neither my truth nor your truth. The LORD has spoken and it is very clear what He has said.

Im sorry but this is not the truth, it would be comforting yes but its not how it is. I have been there I saw the things people were put through I even felt the heat humidity and intense thirst I saw people being plunged into the lake of fire and it was not for certain time it was for eternity. Believe me I wish it wasnt I even prayed that it wouldnt be but it is.

I saw things that dont even belong in a horror movie and as sad as it is that ppl would go through this forever trying to convince ourselves and others that it isnt forever may keep us in a state of relaxation and relief but it still isnt how things are

I have no doubt that you had some sort of experience. Thanks be unto God that His Word reveals whether something is from Him or not. No matter how realistic, how emotional, how impactful an experience is, if it is in conflict with the Bible, what must we say then? End-time delusions are abounding, and we need a solid foundation so that we are not swept away with Satan's errors. If you are basing truth on an experience, that is exactly what the enemy desires. As Eve was deceived through her carnal senses, Satan's old tricks die hard.

Sonny boy, you're 3 years a Christian, a mere "babe in Christ", I suggest you study it (which you obviously haven't done) and enlighten your mind and spirit! Heb 5v11-6v2

Considering that I met jesus there and he saved me from the fiery pit I know who its from and I dont appreciate you calling my experience a delusion and from satan just because it contradicts your lies.

Whether or not Hell is a place of eternal suffering or a place of total destruction, I'm sure of one thing: If you don't belong to Christ, the time will come when you wish you were never born.

Going back and forth is unfruitful. We must study this subject. It is the object of the enemy to separate us, and he is using the Scripture to do it. When I speak of delusions/lies, I am directing it toward the wicked one, not you. May we pray for a sound mind and peace towards one another. I apologize if my words have brought you to anger.

God Bless
