What did the Jew receive first?

Ezekiel 37 was partially fulfilled when the graves were opened up after Jesus resurrection and has some parallels with Revelation 21

It speaks of joining God's people under Jesus.

You know that scriptures speak of Abraham's Seed not seeds, right?

Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

I think that's prophecy yet to be complete in Ezekiel. And yes, it is evident that the Jew leads the way. It should be today that the Gentiles would be stiving to be connected with the born again believing Jew's as Paul preached. Seems as though that hasn't completely been accomplished yet by the lack of desire or something.

If we are to be "one people in Christ", how can the Jew lead the way when there is not longer Jew nor Gentile in the body of Christ?

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:13

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal. 3:27,28

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Col. 3:10,11

There are three classifications of people: Jew, Greek (Gentile), and church of God [1 Cor. 10:32) . . . so people are either Jew, Greek, or church of God, encompassing those that have faith in Jesus Christ and have become part of the body of Christ.

nope. it was hinted and foreshadowed in the Old testament.

However, Jesus reveled its true meaning and fulfilled many things God spoke of but the world and His enemies did not understand.

For example: an eye for an eye is taught in the OT, however, Jesus taught turning the other cheek.

OT taught law and how people fall short of the glory of God, which stems when they rejected God and demanded that Moses be a prophet to them instead of listening to God directly. Then they added the distance between themselves and God by demanding a king like the other people of the world and dethroning God from His rightful place.

NT: teaches grace and how God helps people overcome the world and their flesh through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

It is pagan to those who want to separate certain parts of the Bible against other parts in order to complement their own personal agenda rather than putting all of God's word in context as relevant for us today. Thanks. I don't think it's pagan either. :)

What many people don't seem to get is that the Israelites in the OT normally showed the world what NOT to do: were punished, repented and begged for God's forgiveness and received God's grace.

Many of the scriptures and laws were given because of their disobedience and hardened hearts.

Look at our own children. If they are responsible and listen to what they are suppose to do, you don't have to take away their games, cell phones, etc.

However, if they are bullies and pick on other kids, then you might punish them and put more rule upon them to teach them the right way.

Many of the laws in the OT is because God is trying to lead them back on the right path after they strayed so far from His truth.

Since you are bringing it up again, I will give you the full definition in regard to the "initiation" and why some would believe that THAT DEFINITION is PAGAN . . . This definition is PART of the definition given from Strong's Online Concordance for 3466: A. generally mysteries, religious secrets confided to the initiated and not to ordinary mortals (that is pagan)

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; Romans 2:9
 
people make idols of so many things. they made an idol out of the snake staff Moses used to cure them, not recognizing God who was the power behind the cures.

The Sabbath commandment was given to remind them of God who gave them the manna and not to depend on the manna itself which they probably have made an idol as well if it didn't turn to worms the next morning.

It was to foreshadow the TRUE manna who was Christ Jesus.

That's not what it means.
initiation=The action of beginning something.
synonyms:admit, induct, install, incorporate, enlist, enroll, recruit, sign up, swear in; More

I would call that more occult than pagan. it implies that all people are not equal and allows for an elitest view.

However, Jesus turn people concepts upside down. He said the first will be last and the last will be first.

He told the leaders they are to be servants.

He told servants that they will be kings.

If you look up the word in various Greek lexicons you'll find it has two usages...a pagan and a biblical. Just-me is hell bent on claiming that we say it is a pagan word.
