Well a few bits of information must be understood before this question can be properly answered.

1st, did you know that the Greek word for "sorcery" - in the bible - is "pharmakeia" (and this is New Testament writings). It's where we get our word pharmaceuticals. Christ didn't heal with "sorcery" (i.e. drugs) but with faith in the power of God.

2nd, Priests are allowed to work on the Sabbath, and more than "allowed", Priests are *expected* to work serving God's people on the Sabbath (just like today's church shepherds work to serve their congregations on Sunday).

3rd, those who believe in Christ are of the order of Melchizedek. In other words, believers of Christ *are now* priests of God, commanded to REMEMBER the Sabbath, which means either resting on the day or doing good to others. In other words the focus must be on God and his kingdom and not on self.

So if we consider all of this information, we can answer your questions...

1. Are doctors allowed to work on Sabbath?

Assuming they're believers in Christ; If their focus is on maintaining their income, job or career; no, they're in the wrong. If their focus is to spread the kingdom of God (i.e. restorations...healing); yes, especially if they worked for free as an offering to God on that day.

since medicine are used for healing...
2. Are pharmaceutical workers doing good if they work to produce medicinal drugs on Sabbath?

No. The production of drugs is considered sorcery. Also the production of pharmaceuticals is specifically "for profit" and not for the healing of people (giving drugs away freely isn't good for business...nor is truly healing people good for business).

Have you ever noticed that there's a serpent coiling a staff as the symbol of this world's version of healing, who's "medicine" doesn't really heal? Now that imagery comes from what God commanded Moses to make for the people in Numbers 21, but today's "medicines" are another lie from that old Serpent.

At best these drugs mitigate symptoms and don't cure any illness or disease (because you have to keep taking them or the illness or disease returns). At worse, these drugs are made to specifically *kill* something in the body (which is why if these drugs are taken other than how they were specifically directed they can cause death).

ALL of them cause other negative "side-effects" (i.e. "diseases") that must then be controlled by more drugs, and it just spirals into more and more bondage...completely contrary of God's Kingdom, the gospel of freedom. Something that truly "heals" doesn't kill or have an overdose limit where you've taken too much.
Great another Bible Scholar to contend with.

1. Are doctors allowed to work on Sabbath?

Of course they can work and obviously it is for money because it is their job...duh! They can ask for a few hours off so they can attend service but if the boss says No then it's a No.

2. Are pharmaceutical workers doing good if they work to produce medicinal drugs on Sabbath?

Sorcery...bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Now that is funny!

Oh okay I just so happen to have my leg broken. But, wait if I pray to JESUS it will be okay mate. It'll heal up on it's own. Come back in three days and it will be all better by then.

Like whatever mate! That is such stupid advice. Did you ever consider people in the medical profession may have had their calling revealed to them by the Lord Himself.

Get off that magic carpet your riding mate because you only gonna make me laugh even more!

I'm pretty sure if I needed my leg to fixed JESUS would be telling me go and see a Dr and get some meds so you don't get a nasty infection and get possible gang-green.

Someone please tell me where these kind of people come from. Seems like they are crawling from under the weight of a rock!

This site gets stranger and stranger and stranger by the minute!

I can see you're never going to impress God with your works. "Where did the gangrene come from? My doctor was Hebrew roots." Can't you just feel the love exuding from the Jew-lites?

What amazes me is that someone posted a real question seeking a real answer, and all they get is attacks and name calling. You might not agree with what they are saying, but is it very Christ-like to act the way you are? Sad.

Yahshua, I agree with this given the authority of Scripture. The Greek word for sorcery is the root for the English word Pharmacy. Thank you for standing up for the LORD's holy day.

God Bless

And so those against God making the Jews and gentiles one gets into all questions. Anything to excuse for putting down anything having to do with the Father (or the roots of Christ) for it must be sneered at. All roots must go!!! Jews are those weird people!! I wonder how God sees such things as this?

Don't you think Christ explained how God sees the problem of honoring the Sabbath? Christ said you can't honor the Sabbath by dishonoring the instruction of love your neighbor, if I may change the wording of what Christ said into the meaning of what Christ said.

Yeah. He's probably due an apology, as he didn't say, anyway, he's proselytizing for the Seventh Day Adventists, and their false prophet Ellen G. White. Nobody should accuse him of being one of the sneaky ones, at this point. I'll be looking for him to rotate through deceptive messages in his closing, though.

Heaven forbid anybody would fail to be Christ-like, go around calling out sneaky cults, spreading heinous lies and error.

Oh my gosh...seriously! The both of you need to understand the Bible a lot more clearer. Paul was pertaining to “dealing in poison” or “drug use” and was applied to divination and spell-casting because sorcerers often used drugs along with their incantations and amulets to conjure occult power. Never did he site that actual fact the those who formulated any type of medicine for healing sickness and injuries was no way the both of you are condemning. It was these type of good people who actually used their gifts to benefit mankind on behalf our Lord and our GOD only to be burned at the stake by religious bigoted heathens. I don't make things all nice and buttered up. I speak my mind. I speak the truth! The both of you need to come to modern day reality and wake up! ]

Yer, it's called paraphrasing. I do it sometimes when preaching because people don't understand a KJV verse when I recite.

Wow!! "proselytizing" "false prophet" "sneaky ones" "deceptive messages" "sneaky cults" "spreading heinous lies". And Christ said not to call anyone a fool!

Jesus heals on Sabbath...

From the same principles;

1. Are doctors allowed to work on Sabbath?

since medicine are used for healing...
2. Are pharmaceutical workers doing good if they work to produce medicinal drugs on Sabbath?
Yes they are.

Assertion as I forgot to write it.

We are commanded to obey our masters and to work diligently. The Lords grace is His empowering embrace. I work for a Buddhist who owns two Hotels and I'm asked to work on Sundays. He has given me respect by allowing myself to attend Church on Sundays for a few hours. But if he was to say 'No'. Then I will bow my head and say 'Okay'.

Why will I okay with it?

It is because the tabernacle of God is with me, and He shall always dwell within me, and I am His child, and God himself shall be with me, and forever He is my God.

We are to obey our masters because it is a symbol of loyalty to do well in the eyes of the Lord. Symbolic as it is humbling an annotation to how we should serve and love our GOD for He always comes first. It is what's expected of me to listen to my boss, as I am the light that shines bright before men. They will see my good works in glory of the GOD the Father. Amen.

I am eternally in and at rest with JESUS.

Did I call anybody a fool, if you even understood the meaning of that admonition? But you're right. Words I used may be too mild.

If you ever actually get around to scripture, try reading Matthew 23

Amazing to me how they shudder over just a fraction of the same words in the Bible used to describe the false, even the milder ones. We all know it's about trying to suck people into cult beliefs and silence any opposition. They are always about controlling.

While I agree with much of your thoughts and observations on medication, I will say that many of them do have discernable and necessary benefits.

That being said, I would say a strong majority of medications are intended to enslave someone to them for the purpose of financial profit for the system. And a strong majority of those medications are unnecessary when common sense living and health are accounted for.

Our family doesn't do vaccinations and immunizations, and we're all far healthier than those who do.

I was listening to a sermon about the great falling way. Many are going to come and say Jesus is Lord and lead people away from the truth. We MUST stay in truth because many come to steal kill and destroy serving the prince of lies.

It may be uncomfortable for some who are deceived to hear that they are but wouldn't you rather know the truth than follow a path that leads to destruction? ?.

To much focus is placed on trying to show who has the greatest bible knowledge or who is the best cut and paster. When every deceptive path leads us away from God's presence. I am not a bible scholar, I dont pretend to be. Im an intercessor. I want God to draw me with His truth..and I want people to correct me when im wrong.

Blessed be the name of our Lord
