The evidence is strong enough to convince ppl that exists. If it wasn't, than there would be no one who believed in Him.
We love our wickedness, darkness, sin, whatever you want to call it. We love it so much that we would rather wallow in it than admit we are accountable to Someone more powerful then ourselves.
At least, that's the way I see it.
I wouldn't say the millions of Hindus are wallowing in sin. They are probably very proud in worshhipping their deity... And will pass it on to millions more in future generations. Looks like they will burn for nothing more than being born in the wrong place or into the wrong family.

Oh...and...More ppl believe in God than don't. Does that mean that atheism lacks evidence, otherwise more ppl would believe it?

Atheism is a "religion" of its own sort. Atheists get persecuted for being atheist. Atheists have their own set of beliefs....the only real difference is that they don't believe in a being more powerful than they are.

oh yah...I wanted to ask...do atheists believe in aliens? Just wondering

My heart bleeds for them, but that doesn't change Truth. I also feel you are trying to suggest I was raised Christian, and that would be a false assumption. I once shared your views, only I was a lot meaner, and would have never been caught dead online talking to Christians, I had someone like you to prey on and figure out how to get more money.

God isn't required to save anyone. But...there is a reason Jesus told his disciples to tell everyone about the good news. But again....God doesn't have to save anybody. I am sure you have heard the story of Noah's ark?

I wouldn't say that atheism is a religion, same as not collecting stamps is not a hobby lol. But I get what your saying. I even saw a ridiculous atheist mega church on the internet once. And then theres those idiots who demanded to wear those spaghetti bowls or whatever. We certainly don't do ourselves any favours in many aspects. For every Westboro lunatic who gives Christians a bad name there are an equal number of idiots who make me look like a fool.

No. I don't believe in aliens personally.

Yep, that sucks, what sucks even more is there are billions of self professing Christians going to the same place, it does suck man, that's why we try so hard to help convince people like you.

The watchmaker came from somewhere too.. but you won't apply that to the creator of creation, you'll make a special exception.

Intelligence doesn't come from non intelligence, again where did your God come from?
Where did matter and energy come from?

The First Cause can have no origin.

It must always have been, is, and will be.

Hi Oldhermit, I still need to read that prophecy in Daniel you put me on to, but I will get to it.

One problem I have is that for prophecy to count as direct evidence of God one must first study it. We can’t really expect non-Christians to do this.
So what direct evidence is there for God’s existence? . . .
Where is it? What is it?
Here's the thing.

The existence of God does not depend on you believing it.

And creation is the evidence of the existence of God, as well as of his invisible qualities--
his eternal power and his divine nature--so that men are without excuse.

So the thing is, what you think about it won't change anything about it.

You have not answered my question about submitting to and obeying him

if you are convinced he exists.

That, sir, is the root of your denial, which is nothing more than

Your rationalization to justify your unwillingness to submit to and obey him.

Who knows? We'll probably never know how it all began. I don't pretend to know anything. And I'm not selling anything either... I'm just not buying unprovable religious accounts of any ilk.

The moment I see real evidence on anything is when I'll start taking notice.
That's what all the spiritually blind think.

It also says a similar thing about Ganesh in the Vedas... So does that mean if you read the Vedas a lot you'll start to follow Ganesh?

Doesn't work does it.
Which demonstrates gzusfrk's point.

Of course it's possible. So are a million other possible causes too.

There are a million explanations. Anything from a magic man in the sky, to aliens, Or we may simply just be bacteria on some huge creature's food. Every single explanation may sound just as absurd or just as plausible as the next... But they
all have the same amounts of evidence... None.
There is no evidence as you define it.
It's not about evidence.

It's about not wanting to submit to and obey him if he exists.

If you were convinced of God's existence, would you submit to and obey him?

For all their brashness, atheists do not want to be confronted with evidences of God. If they look at the created world and conclude that God must indeed exist, this means they would have to acknowledge God's control over creation and human existence. They would have to acknowledge that man is accountable to God for his conduct and they are not about to surrender what they perceive as control over their own lives. They simply will not acknowledge God no matter what evidence is put before them.

You seem to be under the impression that atheists don't want God to exist. Or they think he exists but pretends he doesn't.

That's not my stance at all.

What would be the consequences of your life if he does exist. How would your knowing he exists impact your life?

I don't know. I don't spend my time raping and murdering, I'm a pretty nice guy lol. My morals wouldn't change. But my views on the source of them might.

Regardless of what else you may think of the Bible, the Bible is among other things a set of revealed constraints. It regulates how man is to represent what is right and wrong, good and evil, true or untrue. It enables us to conduct our lives in a more noble fashion. If God is acknowledged as real and the Bible as the word of God this would require a transformation of human conduct at the most basic level in the way we think, speak, and behave. If God is not real and if the Bible is not the world of God then there are no standards of right and wrong beyond what can be determined as such by the collective will of a society. Since all societies are so diverse, this would mean there is no concrete or absolute standard. Nothing essentially matters.
