I think this would be a great thread (a.k.a., When is it ok to say i love you?). In my opinion it sounds like you might still have some reservations about committing (besides just the fear of committing). There's always a 'window' where its not too late and not too early to commit, but if you still have doubts then its probably still too early.

Sometimes one has reservations about it because of something they see in themselves too, not always just something about the other person. Its definitely a head scratcher. It could also be that maybe you two havent been through enough enough experiences for you to know enough about how she would handle things. Just my thoughts...

Seriously, This would be a *good*thread*. I'd start it but for all you house burglars out there I'm about to leave for a weekend church retreat. Care to kick it off, Zero T?

I just read 23 of the dumbest tweets ever...I don't think I'll ever feel bad about myself again. I can't post the link in here due to language, but wow. Yeah.

Enjoying the last couple of days with daughter #2. She is opening up more and generally, seems happier than she did a year ago. Doing some outstanding art in her Advanced Placement Art class and is complaining because the teacher is a tougher grader on her than the other students, but I think that is kind of cool. I like it when teachers who recognize talent push kids in a positive manner.

She shared some of her art with me over dinner last night. Her focus for her AP project is kind of dark subject matter: depicting mental illnesses using vivid colors. In looking at the pictures on her phone, I was struck with how she captured depression perfectly using "happy" colors instead of the usual dark blues and shadows. She is GOOD! And I'd say that even if I weren't her parent.

She's in the musical, playing a villager in "Beauty and the Best." Along with the many chorus songs, she has one line: "Thees bread. Eet ess stale!" She wanted the experience of having been in a play and wanted a small part, so this is perfect.

I just baked some banana nut muffins for the drama group. I'm about to take her to the school for a work party painting the set. Basically, she is painting the main stuff and telling the others what to paint. It's kind of fun to watch her grow and flourish. It's fun to hear what's going on in her life, her hopes and dreams and ambitions.

I think I'm addicted to macaroons. You know the kind dipped and drizzled in chocolate.

I bought a butternut squash and a spaghetti squash today (from Walmart, of all places. Oh, well. If I don't like them I didn't spend a boatload of money on them). I'm really excited to try the butternut squash because I heard it's a sweeter squash and you can do some different things with it. I'm also excited to try the spaghetti squash because I heard it's a great replacement for spaghetti noodles.

Enjoying a day with nothing to do! Catching up on some chores - laundry, dishes, leaves in the patio. This stupid oleander bush, which is taller than many trees, yet it is still a "bush," go figure, dumped all of its leaves in my patio. We actually got some rain this morning (I hope this means an end to our drought!), so I'm-a-gonna gather them all up before they get all slimy and mildewy. yuk.

Spaghetti squash in oven - also roasting some beets with onions and garlic, rosemary, S&P. Planning to make some sort of stir fry with andouille to throw in the spaghetti squash and take to the art studio later. Need to work on a stained glass project today after chores are done!

oh wait...this isn't facebook?

Just saw a video of my sister and my nephew on facebook and I haven't seen them in person for about... twelve years?
Its so weird. haha. But I kind of miss them. It's different when you see them moving instead of a picture or anything like that, because you can see some of their mannerisms and personality come to life instead of a picture that just sits there and makes you feel distant when you look at it. Very sweet :)

We're having our church Fall Festival tonight. Chili, soup, a pie contest (so you can bet there'll be enough dessert to go around,) bonfire, hayride, etc, etc.
