Random fact time!

I have a slight fear of escalators. I don't mind going up an escalator, but going down is a bit tricky for me. I'm not exactly what you call coordinated. :p So I avoid going down an escalator when I can.

lil_christian - ever try running up the down escalator? It's harder than it looks. But it's more fun than it looks. And for some reason it's every bit as tempting to do when I'm grown up as it was when I was a kid. Don't ask me why.

Though once when I tried it, I got hit by a slinky going down double-speed...

It sounds like fun, actually. I'll have to find an unoccupied escalator sometime... XD

Today was a good day. I felt strong enough to venture out a little. Saw a few muscle cars. Found some Star Wars collectors items for my son at a flea market. Watched a couple of hawks "making lazy circles in the sky". Drank a magnificent chocolate shake from Steak N Shake. Played ball with my doggie. Tired and a little weak, but getting SO much stronger. Believing with all of my heart that my tests are going to come back okay. :)

Time to praise Him in the storm!

Oh yeah - always had two steak fajita w/ guacamole. Good stuff.
It IS good. But man...today, after eating it...I feel so sick. I had some pretty bad nausea going on there. Maybe it was underdone chicken. I've rested my eyes a bit and that's helped.

Chipotle is delicious! I've had all kinds, but my goto is a chicken fajitas bowl! White cilantro-lime rice, no beans, extra fajitas, extra chicken, pico, corn salsa, extra cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, salt...and some chips to use it with like ultimate nachos or some type of full-meal chip dip. DELICIOUS...you should try it. ...but it's not that I'm so crazy about chipotle overall as opposed to the other food in the world, it was just across theparkinlot from work...so when you've only got 30min for your lunch...you start becoming very familiar with the food places nearby.

On that note, it was my last day today. It was fun, busy, stressful, sad, tiring, and nice. Lol, they sprayed me with whip cream when I left. There was a video one of my coworkers took, and she said she'd send it to me. Gonna miss that lot, but life is always Changing. ^_^

Okay, I admit.. The escalator actually collapsed there. I just don't want to see Lil or anyone else get hurt on those things. They are very dangerous. There have been people with their toes ripped off, lots of head and neck injuries from falling, and there is one guy who actually died when the stair beneath him collapsed and he fell into the machinery (not from a movie which has a similar scene).

Here is an official US government study about the dangers of escalators. It says there are roughly 10,000 escalator injuries per year..

Riding the Escalator: How Dangerous is it Really?

(this isn't directed just to you, Tintin... but to everyone)

I just profile stalked a bunch of you. Because I'm awake. And I'm bored. And I wanted to do something different without leaving my house and being that strange person sitting in Denny's eating pancakes and bacon while reading a very large book at a ridiculous hour.

Sleep...where art thou?

Pancakes and bacon really does sound good though.

I need to buy a sewing machine.

Yeah...this is how my brain works.

I think to myself I would love to learn to knit or sew.. ill buy myself a new shiny sewing machine and all the what nots that go with it.. and it will inspire me to sew and be Mrs Sally Homemaker.. but I know it will sit in the back room collecting dust with all my other odds and ends I bought with the hope I would somehow be someone different than I am..
