Hey the Blond knows the answer to this question at least for me and my future husband anyway......My future husband tourist will become my present husband on November 27th 2014. One month from tomorrow October 27th....I already consider him my present husband now, but the legal work will be done on the 27th of November. Happy, Happy - Joy, Joy....Oh what a Thanksgiving Day this will be.....:eek::)

he becomes your present husband when you get married. Even if you're engaged and you know who you're going to marry, that person isn't your spouse until you actually get married. I'm engaged and I would call my fiancé my future husband.

I guess I kinda understand what the Op is getting at, though. In her mind, the term "future husband" means someone you have not met yet. So by her logic, it becomes tricky once you've met the person that you will marry.

I suppose your future person becomes your current person when you find, meet, befriend, date, and then marry them. At that point, it's no longer my figure spouse, but here is my spouse. So yes, it just loses the title at that point.
