Jesus does not separate water and spirit......you separate water and spirit
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

he did not say what is born of water is flesh did he...?
[SUP]6 [/SUP]That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

so tell me how are you baptised into Christ to be baptised into his death....unless you are telling me the HS immerses you into death....The scripture teaches the HS brings newness of life...not death....
Newbirth, do you have a study Bible handy? If so look up the study notes on on that passage. I used 3 different study Bibles when "not reading" about this passage. Have a look what they say.

Oh and since I "don't read the Bible" I should tell you that passage is John 3:5

I have no doubt you died ...but for what it's worth I don't know what was resurrected....because you are preaching a different gospel bro...
if your gospel is that H[SUB]2[/SUB]O as a substance or any work or ritual done by human hands is able to save souls,

i'm happy to also preach a "different gospel" -- that Christ alone saves.
no other name under heaven !!

Oh please explain to me how I am confused. Would it be because I studied the passage maybe? Or I bet you think because I read other theologians writings (more than just the 3 study Bibles) and I trusted the Holy Spirit for understanding.

Again please explain how I am confused.

He says

"whoever believes in him, shall never perish, but has eternal life" John 3: 16

He says;

" He who believes is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of Jesus"

Now if you want to take a questional passage in mark which contradicts these two verses. then feel free. As for me. I will do what Jesus told nicodemus, And believe in him.

or I will accept Mark 16, and not add water to it, But understand Jesus spoke of spiritual baptism there, Not water, the baptism John the baptist spoke of.. you remember, He (jesus) will baptize with the HS and fire.. The one Jesus said to his disciples they would be baptized with (not water) etc etc.
exactly what I said ....no repentance no baptism ....only believe....that is what you teach.....

i think you're misunderstanding our brother..

I was baptised according to Romans 6.
baptism
I did Die. I was spiritually made dead, thus in faith I humbled myself to the cross, Just like Jesus did. This God imputed his death to me, As Christ died, I died. As Christ was risen, I was given new life.
repentance

I trust God above all ....simple...

so imagine a person is stranded on a desert island with nothing but enough provisions to live and a copy of the bible.

do you trust God is able to save such a man, having nothing but the word of God, and the presence of God, who cannot be escaped from? no water to be baptized, no contact with people he's sinned against to apologize to, no unleavened bread and wine to take part in formal communion, no earthly priest to hear confession or present sacraments? nothing but the Word and the Spirit?

Huh since you apparently don't have a look what others might have to say on a passage you must be a really smart guy. You know the Greek and Hebrew also? Do you cross reference with other passages or do you just pick and choose?

baptism
repentance
he admits his baptism is not that which was practised by the apostles...water baptism...
repentance comes before baptism....repentance is a change of mind from one's sinful ways to Gods way...not this...
he is trying to explain his spiritual baptism...not repentance...

i'd like to just pause & encourage everyone who believes to be baptized publicly in H[SUB]2[/SUB]O,
if for no other reason than to keep others whose understanding hinges on earthly things from stumbling.

it's fitting to fulfill all righteousness, as it is said :)

.repentance is a change of mind from one's sinful ways to Gods way...
sin begets death.
"changing your mind from sinful ways to Gods way" is tantamount to recognizing that sin is death, dying to it and becoming alive to righteousness. "to repent" literally means "to turn away from."
turning from death to life.
this is exactly, humbling ourselves to the cross.

that's a non-answer.

please, answer my question.

can a man isolated from everything else, but having the word of God, be saved?
