Okay, I started a thread about questioning my faith and our bible...due to bible scholars disputing the bible and its authenticity....Christians losing debates with Muslim over not being able to explain the trinity....I felt confused..Jesus was like my identity...which lead me to be really depressed...Anyways! So I started to read the Quaran...and wow! I guess I shoulda done that days ago...it's not very structured at all..just a bunch of like statements I guess you would say. It started talking about Adam and eve and then started talking about Moses splitting the water...as if the writer was picking things out of the bible and mentioning it...

Very keen observation...!

I have studied the Koran in the original Arabic for the better part of 20 years, after a former Muslim colleague informed me that my Bible was corrupted.

At the time, I had no reply to his polemics....but now, after having studied the Koran at enormous length, it is abundantly clear that it is merely a collection of paraphrased Biblical stories!

The next time that you are confronted by a Trinity-denying follower of Islam, you can rest assured that he will NOT have read the Bible like you have read his Koran....and you will be one-up on his lame game...:)

The Quran is based on the OT but is twisted around to favor a different perspective. Without the OT there would be no NT or Quran.

Some might pin him as the false prophet of Rev 13. I don't think so though.

There's no mention of Muhammad himself in the Bible.

However, Jesus did warn about false prophets...

Matthew 7:15
Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Might want to look up the history of Muhammad and his teachings and compare it to Jesus' teachings.

"I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him." If God was talking about Jesus, why does he call him a prophet? An not the son of God? Deuteronomy 18:18

Nope. That's God using Moses speaking of Jesus.

That is exactly what happened. As a matter of fact, the Quran took ideas from many different religions. Originally (about 1,400 BC), Allah had brothers but the Quran states that Allah has no associates and then begins to describe him as a monotheistic god like the God of the Jews and Christians instead of the polytheistic god that he was originally. The black stone was taken originally from ancient meteor worship best known as Isis (ironic... huh), the sun/moon goddess.
Her symbol was the crescent moon with the star/sun above.

Seem familiar? It should...

When Mohammed entered into Mecca and destroyed all of the idols there, he left one alone because it was the founder (mother) of all of the others. He later even worshiped the image himself.

Isis is the harlot and mother of all abominations (Revelations 17) that was the first manifestation of idol worship upon the earth. From her comes all other Pagan religions as well as false religions.

He is not mentioned by name. He was not born until 570 a.d. However, the scriptures do warn of rising false christs and prophets. Some of these are shown in great detail. For example, one was said to bring back the worship of the very first empire (Egypt). That worship was Isis which was performed not only by statues but the worship of meteorites like the black stone of today. Statues of Isis always had a stone upon their head. Muhammad was the one that revived this form of worship. during the 600th century a.d.

The real question, I think, is: why not?

Also worth pondering sections like John 5:45-47 and Acts 3:17-26, that latter particularly as it refers specifically to that passage.

if this is the case(never read the quran) ask him/her etc, what law saved you.

11 For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel.12 For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.13 For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it.14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.15 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace,16 was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

Justified by Faith
15 We ourselves are Jews by birth(old covenant) and not Gentile sinners;16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

This is an easy one. It would simply be due to the fact the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

A typical Muslim assertion...

Do you know if Muhammad is mentioned in our bible?
Of course.

'Muhammad' means 'Praised One', and refers to the Biblical Jesus Christ!

There is a Koranic 'Muhammad' and an Islamic 'Muhammad'.

The Islamic 'Muhammad' is fictitious...

My own research shows that >75% of the Koran was paraphrased from the Biblical Book of Revelation.

Jesus is called a 'prophet' in scripture, along with a whole host of other epithets.

Don't get hung-up on muslins attempting to use a 'lesser' title than what you expected...

Oddly enough, I agree!

Because the Koran was written about Him....same as the Holy Bible which it comes from...

Undertaker, it is very easy to copy and paste " מחמד " into your own Search engine such as google, etc..

Many of the posts on this thread need much more authenticating / research from strictly/truly Biblical Research Sources.

Many are bordering on blasphemy.
