these straw people who wear the name of Christ but have no heart toward His righteousness and want only to go about sinning continually without remorse or repentance,

i'm sure a great number of them have been baptized in H[SUB]2[/SUB]O.
i doubt however that a single one is immersed in Christ.
They are like the pharisees, they are so busy judging others of sin, they can't see their own.

Still blind to the obvious truth you are, and you are running out of time for sure!

Tragic that you will die in your sins while trusting into yourself and your abilities.......believing a gospel with no power while misunderstanding the basic tenant of faith towards the completed work of Christ! Deceived and deceiving with a heretical teaching!
Seriously. You just came against a Bible verse, the Word of God. Not a word spoken by the poster. Your reply was to God Himself. Do you not see this?

Do you disagree with this plain simple verse? God would like to read your answer...

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

He will find out one day soon, albeit to late......!
(Pro 21:23)
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

(Pro 21:24)
Proud, arrogant, scorner is his name who dealeth in proud wrath.

(Mat 7:1)
Judge not, that ye may not be judged;

I was a sinner before I came to Christ newbirth, I know, I still feel unworthy of this " gift " sometimes. I had to take some hard knocks, and be broken so He could build me up, that's where Jesus does His best, when I was at my worst. I was a grown man with hard thoughts, only Christ could amass this construction. He didn't like my works I can assure you, He knew I was lost, very lost, in a big wicked world, He set trials before me, and I made the right decisions " without faith,I had a good heart deep down, I questioned Him, I did have the belief to question Him. I just didn't have the faith yet ..like how Peter fell into the water because He took His eyes off Jesus.

I was pretty sinful and wicked though, I didn't care about myself, How much do you think I cared about others? What " good work got me back to Jesus " ? It was a gift after I came begging and pleading before Christ to forgive me for what I've done over the years, and He is a just God... Instantly filled with the Spirit, that produced fruit, that let me do works. I hope you can understand this
Thank you for sharing this beautiful testimony as a humble child of God before men. This is an everlasting memorial before God, and so also is Jesus confessing your Name before the angels forever.

I hear everything you say brother, the scripture says repentance and remission of sins should be preached throughout the earth...and the scripture teaches us that we must repent and be baptised for the remission of sins ...and we shall receive the HS...(shall indicating the receiving happening in the future) ...now we know God in some cases gave the HS prior to baptism.but acts 28 seems to be the rule of thumb since it is associated with the promise....The scripture also teaches baptism is the actual union with Christ..Since if Christ is not present with us in baptism there can be no death in him, no burial with him and no resurrection with him therefore no walking in newness of life....
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Are you starting to understand the difference between John the Baptist with water, and Jesus with the Holy Spirit though? There is a big difference there. Yes, once we recognize Jesus, confess, tearing down who we were, and then follow through on the changes of who He wants us to be, your talking to a white guy that hung out in the hood, I come from a era killings everyday and I knew who they were a lot of the time, before hurricane Katrina I could be found smoking weed in the projects of New Orleans. I looked up to drug dealers, and that I became.

Now listen to me, it is a complete 180 change, from listening to soulja slim and c-murder, " I know these guys uptown and the hood they rep " to stuck in the word of God. I knew nothing of the Spirit, I lived a real dirty and hard lifestyle, people feared what I was capable of. Now I'm more peaceful then a monk or a lap dog, My thoughts, my language, my speech, my presentation, my character, my whole personality has flipped.. From around guns to none, around drugs to none, around thugs to none, overnight, And then to add the fruits of the Spirit that help me with discretion, discernment, and destinations.

Its night and day... I'm glad Dc said what he said a few days back, that it strengthens his faith to see a two bit criminal that was worth nothing, to a productive citizen in society... Only Jesus could do this, I've done time in prison, I'm a two time loser for being a thief at 17 and my second was intent to distribute ... I still did not care, I came out and fell back to my old ways fast.

There was nothing NO ONE could tell me, ..only thing that could help me, did.. God, period. Why I will be in debt to Him for life, He's got me, and I got Him. So there was no water, and no works that brought me to Him, it was me begging for my life and if He still cared about me, satan offered me the level of success I finally wanted, but when I got there.. I found out I didn't want it.. I'm hard headed and wasn't good at listening to who I really was deep, deep down. He tried a few times, this last time, I seen the door and dove head first, I'm dead to my old self, I live through His Spirit now, I'm walking on water, and I'm not taking my eyes off Jesus. I live to help others find who they really are, it's deeper then just hearing church for the hour a week. It's a life long process not everyone reaches, I'm blessed to have found out in my 20s.. I know who I am :) Gods child.

Mind you I could never take a life, that I wouldn't do.. I've been robbed of drugs, I've been up and down barrels, stabbed and slice, I could never harm another human, besides a scuffle, all I cared about was money and the power it held, didn't care about anything else.

Now, I still need money to live of course, but how I get it is important to me, I'm careful in that way. Like I wouldn't go sell obama phones, because I know this is just more government control, " socialist " I pay attention to things I never cared about..
I'm different in every way..

I really think it would be good for first time offenders of non violent crimes, to be able to go to a bible program instead of prison, a choice to work, and learn the word, and if they act up after warnings, then prison it is... Giving people a break from the world and a chance to find out who they our..

I think this would help the world a bunch, they need some foundation .. It's a fatherless society most are coming up in and they need help but pride won't let them admit it, their own decisions will.

seem like you did not read one word I wrote... which is according to the word...the scripture says ...

[SUP]36 [/SUP]Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[SUP]39 [/SUP]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

in all your confession I see nothing remotely close to what is described in acts 2...so I assume it is one of those rare occasion where God makes an exception to the rule....How ever I see the promise is to you and your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Baptism by water and baptism by Jesus are different, why John said what he said...not going back over that, And as I said don't put God in a box, and limit His ability, Any and everything is possible through Christ Jesus newbirth... Your just being hard headed, hey, as you can see I was probably 10x hard headed then you.. All I will say is God makes the rules, I don't question it, I'm telling you the truth and the miracles He's done for me, and will do for anyone with a open heart, I'm no exception, I was trash, needing someone to throw me away, God said no, your gold and I have work for you to do.

he forgets. the bible is a series of 66 books. He wants to make a gospel based on 1 verse. which does not even say what he thinks it says, and ignore 99 % of the rest of the scripture which says quite the opposite.

Hey says we do not listen to him, when it is him who does not listen to Christ himself.

It does.

It just does not say what you think it does.

why do you ignore john 3: 16, and all the other passages which say we are saved by faith, With no mention of baptism. why do you cause acts 2 to contradict most of scripture. and why do you ignore every time you are confronted with this?

we heard, we repented (in faith), and were given the gift of the Holy Spirit. And like those who believed in Acts 2. We were baptised.
[SUP]41 [/SUP]Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

whats your problem?

where they not saved because they recieved the word (in faith) because of the grace of God? Because they obeyed John 3: 16??

they probably never heard of John 3:16....because John had not written his account of the gospel yet...so they had to obey Peter there and then...

I've made my choice newbirth, I lay my life to Christ, I'm done with the topic, whoever wants to argue with you has more then enough ammunition to do it, it's vain words at this point with you. Every second of time is precious, I've made my point through scripture and Spirit, this might not be for you, maybe someone else who reads it. There's clarity now on the subject, and I won't be going round and round ... It is said, and plenty agree, and more who read it will agree.. So I love you, and will pray God wakes you up, be blessed newbirth

Now your just being argumentative, how many posts today have I said we are saved by grace through faith. It is Gods grace, my faith (trust) in him and his word.

And how is this a response to acts 2. You just said exactly what I have been saying, They recieved his word of grace through faith in his word. And because of it were saved. Why do you like to not only miss what people say, But miss this?

hat is not acts 2:38 ...

No, this is you cutting off the passage, and making a doctrine out of it.

Acts 2: [SUP]40 [/SUP]And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” [SUP]41 [/SUP]Then those who gladly[SUP][g][/SUP] received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. [SUP]42 [/SUP]And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. [SUP]43 [/SUP]Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. [SUP]44 [/SUP]Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,

See, you do not want to see truth, You want to see baptize.

All who believe, 2 times spoken here, Nothing about baptism. why is this? And why do you ignore this part of the passage, and just take your perverted view of the first?

And continue to ignore the language of the part you try to shove down everyone's throat?

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
[SUP]26 [/SUP]But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
[SUP]27 [/SUP]To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Obedience of faith. when are you going to obey him, and have faith in GOD and not your works?? Your faith is not in God. your faith is dead. Your carnal works (self motivated) will never save you.

It does not even say repent and be baptized. That is a faulty interpretation.
