your right about romans 9,

but we are not talking about romans 9. we are talking about romans 11. Stick to the topic. Rom 11 says God is not done with Israel. Listen to God. not your own understanding.
I think Seabass is wrong on Rom.9, God's choice of Jacob was for salvation, Therefore Rom.9 and 11 are both teaching that not all the descendants of Abraham are elect to salvation. Not all of the Jews are "elect" to salvaton. AND, Not all Americans are "elect" to salvation. Love Hoffco

This slick gnosticsm of the Talmudic Pharisees who are the heart of the present day rabbinic order, in keeping with their blending of contradictory mysticisms as gnostics, has evolved the Necromatic order of the Cabala.
Even kids now who follow after their favorite pop stars who get into the Cabala are affected by this disgusting evil country.

The existence of a spirit world full of evil spirits, there is one thing we are told about for sure, leave all that crap alone. Stay away from it. Familiar spirits, soothsayers, clairavoyants etc, it is all Cabala.
Thou shalt have no other Gods before me...Ex 20...

Universal Jewish Encyclopedia on Cabala states;

The Cabala is a library of literature all on magic and spiritism and pantheism. Aaron ben Samuel is credited with bringing the mysterious doctrine from Babylonia to Italy about the middle of the ninth century; thence it spread to almost all the Christian countries of Europe. Cabala means "tradition", and it is the tradion of the paganisms of Babylon, Egypt, and the pagan philosophers. The Zohar (Book of Splendor), of the Cabalas, is more sexually degenerate if at all possible, than the Babylonian TALMUD."
It gets a little raunchy in details, what is contained therein so I'll try to spare you the hell I went through raised amongst Pharisee/Cabalas/rabbis

have not heard this term used in awhile. think it shows who you are.

To Bride, at times, you are also a riddle to me. although I also hate much of Scofield's teachings.
The idea of Preterism makes me sick. I believe in a literal rule of Jesus for 1,000 yrs. but no pre-tri rapture. I like your verse from Heb.12:22- at the end of your pg. Love to all Hoffco
I believe in the literal rule of Jesus forever Hoffco. Not just one thousand years. It's already been 2000...

(Mat 6:13)

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

(Luk 1:33)
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

(Joh 12:13)
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

(Mar 15:32)
Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

(Joh 1:49)
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

(Joh 19:15)
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar

The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar

(Act 2:30)
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

(Heb 1:8)
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

(Eph 2:6)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Jesus is my Husband. He is the King of the Universe.
He doesn't just reign at some designated place at some 'other' time over 'some other people' for a 'little while' LOL.
He reigns EVERYWHERE ALWAYS AND FOREVER :)

Has anyone on this thread learned anything new yet?

To answer the question, of this thread, I would just say, Romans 11 tells us that Israel is still God's chosen nation and will always be so; But only the "elect" to salvation will be saved of and from all nations. The election of Israel has nothing to do with the few who are "elect" of all nations to salvation. BUT, Because Rev. 21:24 says "The nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it."; I would tend to thinks nation will exist on the new earth. Love to all, Hoffco

to Bride, I agree in the reign of Jesus from the heavens ; BUT,if this is all there is to the rule of Christ over the earth, He has to be the worst King this earth has every seem. NOW, I will assume that you are like a lot of my sick Reformed brothers and sisters who believe in Replacement theo. I hate that error as much as I hate the Pre-TRib.rapture. Love Hoffco

My last question was posed to see if we can all agree on one thing. Can we start with that?

I need to rephrase the question.

Who was the promise originally to? (scripture)

The only thing you can hate with me is the Word of God. Cause that's all I got sunshine :)

I suppose for you He isn't King and reigning because you don't like His style. That's ok. But I don't have that attitude about the way Jesus reigns, and no one else's opinions change the facts.

He is ruling and reigning until He puts all His enemies under His feet and the last to be destroyed is death.
If that doesn't work for you how He rules and reigns, then I can understand why you think I'm sick.

(Mat 27:11)
Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

(1Co 15:25)

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

(1Ti 1:17)
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

(Mat 28:18)
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

HE IS REIGNING. SEE IT?

I can adjust the font if it helps... :)

Ok I'm not sure where to head from here.I believe the Bible teaches Israel are Gods chosen, the Jews.I believe the New Covenant includes todays Jews and we can take part only because we are grafted in.As the Bible continually says "first to the Jews"... I continue with Scripture that shows the Jews will recognize their Messiah is Jesus once the Anti Christ turns against them and they will be saved.I do not believe gentiles have replaced the Jews in the New Covenant. But its not really worth the effort to prove all that because it seems the majority here do not believe that.I have not come across many Christians who do not believe the Jews are the chosen ones. I feel the replacement theory is dangerous and heresy. So maybe if everyone just says what they believe concerning this I may have a better understand of where you all are coming from. Thanks folks.
With me being a little more simple minded then most.
God said that the Jewish are his chosen people. Then that's what I believe, no matter how much they may drop the ball.
With me looking at the Spiritual side of things. Maybe more then most. :)

Look how often the Jewish people are targeted for extermination. Hitler, Hamas, The president of Iran says in public.
The Jews do not have the right to exist. They need to be blown out to sea. As he is trying to gain Nuclear power for peaceful purposes?
Seemed as I was growing up. there was always a sense of a dislike for the Jewish people from the general population.

This general hatred for the Jewish people has dark spiritual overtones written all over it.
This makes me believe that, Yes! The Jewish are still Gods chosen people. :)
