You know you're getting old when you have to check the obituary to make sure you're still alive.

The creaking sound I hear when I walk across a hardwood floor is not the floorboards.

When you remember always being the youngest one to wondering When did I become the old one?
hahahahah! I wish my laugh could be heard, also there.

Glup!
Another thought: I´m getting old... the moment I had to watch my laughing being too concerned on not loosing any faked tooth. (I have seen several things happening like that).

When I was young, I could be embarrassed by so many things. My self-esteem was so fragile and I could be victim of humiliation over the most trivial circumstances: accidently wearing two different colored socks, dragging a length of toilet paper stuck to your shoe, being called out for a ridiculous error in front of your classmates, falling down the steps in public, messing up an important project at work, speaking in public and bumbling it, etc. etc.

Now that I'm older and wiser (in the Lord), I don't so much worry about things like that.

I was at a deli counter some time back when I heard some snickering behind me. I turned to see a small group of young ladies laughing and pointing at the ridiculous rainbow socks I was wearing. I laughed, too and lifted up my foot almost shoulder high (I do Pilates which keeps me in pretty good shape for an older gal :) ) and pointed to my sock and said, "Ya like 'em? Pretty awesome, huh??" The girls were mortified. They quickly turned away, redfaced and seemed afraid to even be caught communicating with me further, like I was a weirdo or something. heehee.

Anyhow, you know you're getting old when the things you used to feel embarrassed about now embarrass other people and not you.
I want to be older that way, too.

:)

You know you're getting old when... you rub "Wrinkle-Away Cream" all over your tattoos to keep your skin from sagging and making your tattoos look like badly drawn kindergarten art!!!

You know you're getting old when you see teenagers doing the exact same silly junk you used to do, and instead of feeling nostalgic, you roll down the car window to yell at them to stop laying in the street before they get hit by a car.

Also...when new music mostly just baffles you.

I know I'm getting old when I'm losing my memory, and not only that, I'm losing my memory.

You know you're getting old when Church friends don't call you past 6pm because they thought you'd be sleeping.

You know you're getting old when you're losing your hair, and not only that, you're losing your hair.

You know you're getting old when you call 20-year olds as "Hey Kid!"

You know you're getting old when you're 'that old man' who yells at kids to get away from his car.
