I think she is a Christian who just happened to stray too close to ban hammer. Tragic, really.

yperhaps but i disagree
i mean as a born again beliver
i am going to teach my children about God, and how he sent his only son to die for us.
teach them the only way to have eternal life is to belive in Jesus and God, to belive that jesus died on the cross to die for our sins etc etc

and i feel that you arnt really saved if you dont care enough to teach ur children about ur saviour.

thats my opinion

... :D ...

the children will meet atheism in school anyways, why shouldn't I balance that by telling them my faith? (when/ if I get any)

on many other websites i do have people ask me why am i an atheist this poem would explain a part of my reason to be an atheist im jus doing this so you can understand a little and so i dont have to keep repeating myself

Atheism offers nothing to me,
it never has and never will,
it doesn't make me feel good or comfort me,
it's not there for me when I'm sick or ill,
it won't intervene in my times of need or protect me from hate,
it doesn't care if I fail or succeed,
it won't wipe the tears from my eyes,
it does nothing when I have no where to run,
it won't give me wise words or advice,
it has no teaches for me to learn,
it can't show me what's bad or nice,
it's never inspired or excited anyone,
it won't help me fulfill all my goals,
it won't tell me to stop when I'm having fun,
it's never saved one single soul,
it doesn't take credit for everything I achieve,
it won't make me get down on bended knee,
it doesn't demand that I have to believe,
it won't torture me for eternity,
it won't teach me to hate or despise others,
it won't tell me what's right or wrong,
it can't tell nobody not to be lovers,
it's told no one they don't belong,
it won't make you think life is worth living,
it has nothing to offer me, that's true,
but the reason Atheism offers me nothing is because I've never asked it to,
Atheism offers nothing because it doesn't need to,
Religion promises everything because you want it to,
You don't need a Religion or to have faith,
You just want it because you need to feel safe,
I want to feel reality and nothing more,
Atheism offers me everything,
but Religion has stolen before.
"Everybody had a want from God" My relationship with my Christ is not a religion its a relationship. Not trying to preach but maybe you're looking to follow a bunch of rules instead of developing a solid relationship with Christ.

If he doesn't believe in God he's an atheist.

That is crazy, and ppl do become christians even if their parents are not. But you should definantly teach your children about how loving and good god is so they don't have to learn it somewhere else and it builds them a strong relationship with God. The devil is quite the deciever, he can reason things in ppl like that. There is no denying that there is a God or that Jesus lived and...I hope he doesn't turn ppl away from God with that talk. It frustrates me so much. I wish everyone can know the God that I know. The one the bible teaches about. The one of peace and love and healing and power. I love him so much but I've only touched the surface of who he is. And I want to know more, I never want to stop growing into the person he wants me to be. I just want more of him and I want to learn about him and tell others about his love. You never know how much you need him until you have him and you grow so much by just reaching out and trying. I am constantly looking back at how much I"ve grown and I am amazed. I feel like a new person, someone just keeps polishing and I keep noticing how much brighter my life is and then it gets even brighter. Its hard for me to imagine being happier than I am now and then I get happier. I...just...love...being...a...christian!!!

Opps, don't know what I was doing there, kinda got off topic. Oh Well, maybe somebody needs to hear it. And please forgive my spelling and punctuation.

I agree. You should teach your children about what you believe but don't preach to them. Live by example.

teach:to give knowledge to someone else that you have learned
preach: to deliver a sermon
If you preach to your children continuously they'll start to tune you out. It is quite possible to never tell your kids about Christ and just live the right way, and they'll ask you. I don't suggest it though.

I guess that's your opinion. I would rather live the way I want my kids to live. I think parents should spend less time preaching and more time living right.

Ya, I know , but I don't think its necessary to preach if you are living right. We are to be a living testimony.
