(Jer 42:6 [KJV])
Whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

(Acts 5:28,29 [KJV])
Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

So much for PC.

Thanks reborn for getting it back on track.

There is no room for PC in the religious market. Surely it's all about how your God is the true one and all others are wrong. If I was religious i would do all I could to mock, belittle and ridicule people of other faiths. after all, they are all wrong.

PC has no place in religion.

A put down? Graceful as that was, T.N. of Islam is evil. Hit CNN...or ABC, MSNBC or HGTV, whichever, they are all covering that topic. (Homework class..find the flaws in the exam---then belittle the teacher :) )
Side note: if I were non-religious, I'd be out having fun-enjoying life- not surfing these religion forums talking about how I hate religion. Never understood why atheists have so much anger towards people who have found their happiness? God Bless. :)

You believe in being PC then? Okay, to each his own. But claiming Islam is evil, and telling others that it is--is NOT being judgmental--it is stating the truth spoken to John, by Jesus Himself, in a great part of the book of Revelations. He doesn't mention Budda or The Church of Scientology there--the Lord is being very specific with Islam. There is always further reading if needed? God Bless.

I have no anger towards you lol. And this isn't a full time job for me. I make about 4 or five posts when I'm on here. Which takes all of about 5 mins out of my day.

It wasn't a put down at all. The whole concept of religion is inherently non PC, some more than others. To try and shoehorn PC into any faith isn't going to work and cause more issues down the line.

Look at the divide it's causing in regards to homosexuality for example. This is now causing a direct conflict between church and state in some cases and PC is the catalyst.

Might want to check your dictionary about what atheism actually means.
I'm sorry that it took me so long to respond to you. You are using a slick way of attempting to get around your belief that there is no God by claiming that your religion, Atheism, is not a religion, and place everyone else subservient to you. My friend, there are more than 200 (23 major including Atheism) religious groups (everyone on the planet is a member of one of them) in the world and of them, there are over well over 4000 (various estimates as high as 48,000) different sects belonging to one or more of the groups. Many of these groups and/or sects do not believe in God(s) and do not call themselves Atheist. So dream on, whether you like it or not, you are a member of the religious group of Atheism.

[TD="width: 593, align: left"][h=1]What does the Bible say about political correctness? Should a Christian be politically correct?[/h]
Question: "What does the Bible say about political correctness? Should a Christian be politically correct?"

Answer:
Political correctness (PC) is defined as “a term that describes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, religious belief, disability, and age-related contexts.” The key word here is offense. No individual or group is to be offended in the PC world. Certainly, as Christians, we are not to go out of our way to offend anyone personally, but the truth is that Christianity itself is offensive.

The apostle Paul references the “offense of the cross” in Galatians 5:11. The cross was an offense to the Jews because their idea of salvation was to “work the works of God” (John 6:28–29), meaning keeping the numerous burdensome Old Testament laws and rules. When Jesus came preaching salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, they were shattered. He made it plain that “by works of the law, no human being will be justified in his sight” (Romans 3:20) and that all their law-keeping was of no value to them whatsoever. Especially repugnant to them was the idea that, without Jesus, they who prided themselves on their meticulous adherence to the letter, if not the spirit, of the law, could do nothing of spiritual value (John 15:5).

Truly, the offense Jesus created was a stumbling block to the Jews, as Paul explained to the Romans. He reminded them of Isaiah’s prophecy that God would lay a Cornerstone (Christ) in Zion over which many would stumble and fall (Isaiah 8:14;28:16; Psalm 118:22; 1 Peter 2:6). Just as the Jews stumbled over the idea of their works being of no value to God, so do many today hate the idea that Christ will build His church not on human merits, but on His righteousness alone. That message is as offensive today as it was in Jesus’ day. No one likes to be told there is nothing he can do to earn his place in heaven.

Equally offensive is the necessity of dying to self in order to follow Christ. Of all the religions of the world today, Christianity is the only one where its founder tells you to follow Him and die. "Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me'" (Matthew 16:24). Those who heard this message knew exactly what Jesus meant; to follow Him was to die to self and give up everything they ever held dear. That's why everyone ran away when He was arrested; they weren't prepared to die with Him.

Correctness in the secular, political realm is not the concern of Christians or the church because “our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will, by the power that enables him, “bring everything under his control” (Philippians 3:20–21).

Yes.
Great question. In todays world we, even some Christians, are all about the PC. PC and Christianity will never go together. Although Christmas does have some questionable roots, the nation of Islam (out of all religions) is not to be tolerated, humored, or bartered with. Is that hate or judging-to state that truth? Maybe so, in some peoples eyes, but if anyone does 5 minutes worth of homework-they'd see that Muslims have been persecuting, and killing Christians for hundreds of years. In fact- ALL religions/things/mammon that take away from Christ are evil---Jesus states this. So......I'm guessing Christ wasn't very PC when He was around?
No from what I can see in the Bible Jesus and his disciples would be thrown in jail within 10 mins. of being on earth this day in age. They were not very PC. I think being PC will eventually bring the downfall of America,a once Christian country. The Muslim faith is pure evil and a delusion blinding those under its influence. Then we have the PC crowd running behind saying how peaceful a religion it is.Unbelievable to me.
