That you failed to see that the garbage presented by Vernon R. Cupps was garbage suggests you are not particularly able in math.

Timeline, I am more than happy to read your CV on geochemistry, algebra, or statistics. I suppose you are a real expert.

Of course some people will believe the unsupported claims of an anonymous yakkster on a chat site rather than the critically reviewed publications of real scholars, and scientists.

I have not read the entire thread, so please forgive me if I repeat something that has already been brought into the discussion. The notion that faith and acceptance of evolutionary biology cannot be reconciled by believers is rebutted by Denis Lamoureaux, a scholar and evangelical Christian. No thanks. Evolution is the Devil's attempt at explaining a creation without a Creator.

Yeah, everyone knows that. (Well not everyone, some think they became extinct about 4,400 years ago) I think the question is why did they become extinct? Why aren't there any dinos around today?

Would you exclude a global flood about 4,400 years ago as causing the dino extinction?

The overwhelming scientific evidence indicates otherwise.

Despite that, the YECs stick to the global flood because they need it to make the 4,440 years work.

and why are they petrified closed? That is a really tough question.

It may have suggested it, but YOU made an outright statement declaring that I am not a promising student.

PS. I didn't read Vernon Cupps' "garbage". I have come to distrust information from evolutionary scientist AND creation scientists because both seem to want to distort information to their favor. I do occasionally read articles that I find interesting, but I don't assume that any of it is error free or lie free.

The dinos were all gone and were never replenished upon the earth 1000 years ago before the flood of Noah's day came

The dynos went extinct because of the Lord's judgment against Satan's rebellion

Evolution says nothing about the origins of life itself. It only describes a process that happened after life was already established.

The small dinosaurs that diverged into the birds are obviously still living today. If you look at the graphic below you should see that in addition to the massive asteroid strike in Yucatan, there was a spike in volcanic activity. The latter was most notable in the Decon Traps of India, where hundreds of square miles of territory was repeatedly covered in flood basalt. Survival during mass extinctions is highly correlated with small size and high mobility.

Are you trying to suggest that Sir Isaac Newton was never wrong? Of course he was! He was an incredibly brilliant human being, but this doesn't mean he didn't hold any flawed views. Isaac Newton was also an alchemist, alchemy having been debunked and discredited long ago.

You'll find numerous men and women throughout history who were absolute geniuses, many of whom worshiped different gods and sometimes even no gods. Many of them made huge scientific breakthroughs while supporting other ideas that were completely wrong. This is common, but this is what makes science so amazing. Science allows us to distinguish good ideas from bad ideas, rather than assuming all ideas from someone are correct simply because that person made a single breakthrough.

The stupidity of pitting faith against evolutionary biology has been brought up on occasion in this thread, but Dr. Lamoureux was not mentioned before.

Take note, YECs, here we have a Ph.D. who is an Evangelical Christian. He has doctorates in Evangelical Theology and Evolutionary Biology. He wrote a book entitled I Love Jesus and I Accept Evolution.

Oh, and he offers a FREE “Science and Religion” class. You YECs might considers this option, as opposed to buying Dr. Dino’s son’s CDs that were linked to in this thread, and cost $99.

Did I mention that Dr. Lanoureux used to be a YEC, but was delivered?

You see, there is hope.
