I have a HUGE addiction to porn i feel like i am failing God why would God even want someone who fails him and falls short to sin? i cant go to a psychologist i would just get to nervous talking to someone. i don't know what else to do HELP

Is there anything in particular that triggers wanting to watch it? I know that before I kicked my bad habit of it, the one thing that was almost synonymous with me looking at it was stress or me having a difficult time with something. It was a distraction (in more than one way), to say the least.

Is there any rhyme or reason that you've noticed that causes you to want to watch it?

P.S. This must be a difficult thing to throw out there and admit to, so I definitely applaud you for doing so!

honey we ALL fail him and fall short!! Just pray for him to take these urges away from you, and he will. :) Pour out your heart to him about how your addiction makes you feel. He is the ONLY counselor you need. :)

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

All a psychologist can do is offer a large bandage. ..

Rid your life of the things that tempt you. You can't expect to be constantly around the temptations that you can avoid and not give in sooner or later. Put a filter on your internet(I can recommend one but don't know if that is allowed). Install adblock plus. Confess this struggle to someone close. Find an accountability partner. Confessing this to another believer will help bring it to the light and not remain a secret shame you harbour. You have done a good first step in asking for help here.

I've been free from pornography for over a year now which blows my mind and these were some things that really helped but it was God who really freed me. I still have to take heed to what I allow to come into my sight every day.

Any updates Garfield20? What do you think about the suggestions we gave?

no, baby girl...no.

you see, the Good News of the Gospel is Jesus paid the price for our sins.

you may carry guilt for a long time, but
the sins you can't forget God will never remember. ♥

Ps 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

i wonder...if you feeling this way may be perpetuating the addiction?
like, 'i deserve this'?

maybe something to think about.
and i am praying for you!! ♥

Practically, you need an accountability partner. Preferably a mature Christian who can walk with you, and hold you accountable, pray with you and examine the root causes of this terrible addiction.

Just remember Romans 8:1

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!"
