Revelation 2:8-9 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
This is from Revelation 2:9 and scripture often misused to try and legitimize antisemitism, people saying things like all the Jews in Israel are fake, or all Jews are Satanic. This is a preposterous lie. As to the scripture, in Christ's time there were persecuting and blaspheming Jews, even in the face of Christ, and Christ told this bunch they are of their father, the devil. But this was not all Jews, and this was not to say the Jews of the synagogue of Satan were not hereditary and practicing Jews, in fact, but of evil hearts of Satan, not recognizing their own God and His own church, like the hateful Scribes and Pharisees that sorely persecuted Christians. The early church had very hard times, from Jewish and gentile opposition. And apparently, in Smyrna, there was a synagogue and example of these hateful, persecuting Jews.

So God says he will bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel but there are those that say they are Jews and are not. How do we know that the two are not intermingled Israel/fake jews?
Israel is the world and 10 "lost" tribes. They are such because they (we) are blind. True "Jews" however is not of any particular race of the flesh. They are spiritual or those who have crucified the flesh to live and walk in the Spirit. Jews have nothing to do with race, as in Christ we all are one.

It's none of our business. The Lord separates the sheep from the goats in due time, judgment and vengeance His, not ours: national Israel is national Israel. God has His plan for Israel we would be wise, do best, to not kick against. And as if Israel's antichrist Muslim neighbors had any virtue to crow about. Funny one never hears these things about, for instance, how we should do mean things to Canada for bad Canadians, maybe cut off trade, go up there and separate them all out? Which of you can divide souls and spirits, can substitute for God?

let God handle it, He knows who are real and real or not.
if we are doing what God demands, we will bless everyone we come in contact with, and not curse anyone (love your neighbor) and we would not have to worry about it.

So I am confused, when God Speaks of Israel, is He speaking of the nation that we know as Israel or His people?

Israel began with Jacob's name changed to Israel. Israel became the 12 tribes that sprang from Jacob's offspring, a people. But Israel can also be how the nation of this people is referenced. It depends on the context, Israel as a people a lot, but also like "mountains of Israel," a nation.
No when He speaks of Israel, He is referring to all of mankind. When a baby is born, before the world turns it into a Muslim or a Christian, a peace activist or a KKK member, the child is of Israel.

This would be fulfilled when the destruction of Jerusalem drove large numbers of Jews into Asia Minor. Every city which had previously had a Jewish colony would then receive a great influx of refugees. This augmented Jewish settlement at Philadelphia was to furnish some converts to the Christian Church; but, as we learn from the epistles of Ignatius, these converts tainted the Church with a stubborn form of Judaistic error. Hence the need of the warning in ver. 11. Compare "The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet" (Isaiah 60:14; Isaiah 49:23). Know that I have loved thee. The "I" is emphatic: "I will cause them to recoginize that in this you received a blessing manifestly Divine."
Jews from the synagogue of satan are those who are descendants of Abraham that do not believe in Jesus Christ or the Gospel.

They are not Jews, Christ taught this because it exposed who the" evil doers are in this world today .
they worked their selves into the priest hood before Christ was here. They are Kenites. They eventually became preist, by sneaking their way into the temple, eventually replacing all the priests of Levi .And God would use them too.
