[SUP]4 [/SUP]For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,....
How did they get it ...???
get what? The HS has shared the gospel with you, and helped you to understand it, You have partaken of him, it does not mean you ever recieved him

Do you even know what is impossible? That is the context. what is impossible in that passage?

If you are referring to me, you are so very wrong that it is just plain sad.....................goodness.........
Well then why do you think salvation needs to be earned? A gift is not earned, it is given to one who does not deserve it out of Gods mercy.

That is grace, don;t you know that?

they do not believe in the gift, they are trying to earn eternal life. so of course he would ignore that parrt
Apparently not as I guess they have to earn it....If it is of works then it is no longer of grace.....I will take grace, the gift and being justified by the faith OF Jesus as apposed to trying to justify myself...Galatians 2:16-21

If your under law, the wage of sin is death, because cursed is everyone who does not confirm and obey ever word written in the law.

It was eternal. until the lamb of God came and took the payment of sin,

He never spoke of this concerning eternal salvation.

If your struggling, your depending on self not Christ.

then again, It looks like your one of the lawyers trying to earn your way in, So no wonder you struggle.
So you walk perfectly Christ-like each and every day? Seriously? You guys are just blowing smoke now.......goodness

Don't even start with that lawyer crap..............how very sad..........believe as you wish........and do as you wish........but I ain't buying that you guys are perfect in you every day walk through this life..........

I'm gonna put my faith in God, the precious blood of Christ, and strive to walk obedient to His teachings...........to "endure" means it won't be a cake walk..........there will be many bumps and ruts along the way........EFFORT is required to "endure," but, apparently you guys are perfect........so it must be a cake walk for y'all..................good for you........

he does not get it, the very passage which he uses to prove salvation can be lost, states clearly, if one falls away, they can never get saved again, they have lost it forever.
so you agree that is what the passage states clearly.....your words..
states clearly, if one falls away, they can never get saved again, they have lost it forever.
...but you don't believe it.....

If I could possibly do that, I would not have needed, or continue to need grace. I could fall back under the law. and be saved by my own deeds.

Don't even start with that lawyer crap..............how very sad..........believe as you wish........and do as you wish........but I ain't buying that you guys are perfect in you every day walk through this life..........
You better be perfect. because if you reject grace, thats your only hope

How can your faith be in god when yuo do not even believe he has perfected you forever. and will continue that good work in you until the day of Christ.

Your fooling yourself if you think your faith is in God. Your faith is in yourself striving to be perfect. Yet you fail ever day,

Somebody's fooling themselves............that's for sure........but I know in whom I believe......and I am aware of my imperfections, and I know He works daily in me..........you guys may be walking perfection, and NEVER sin........and if you believe that, then I repeat..........somebody's fooling themselves........

The thing is, if one can go sinning without a day, they were perfect for the day, if they do that for a week, they are [erfect for the week... It is possible to be perfect

Justification- Declared righteous. Received by faith. purchased by the blood of Christ
Sanctification - positional. a child of God, set apart from being a child of adam - conditional. Daily work of growing in Christ,
Salvation. Saved from the curse of the law (death) and the eternal wrath of God

Your the one who does not understand it. You think sanctification and justification are all conditional and moment by moment, This is not true. You think a person can be saved from his sin, Yet you do not believe in eternal security, thus you do not believe one can be saved,

This just shows ignorance of what I write or have written.....go read very carefully what I have written in this thread as well as others...ALL you guys can do is accuse, twist what we say and or attribute statements that we have never made nor implied because of the absurdity of being able to loose salvation!

Yes, I do................Do you have a clue as to the new believer (one just saved) needing to be sanctified? Do you know what sanctification is? Do you understand that sin separates a person from God? Oh, no, wait, you guys are perfect......you guys can't sin......

where do you get this never sin crap from?

Dude you listen to to many fairy tales of people telling you wives tails.

No one is sinless. No one can be sinless.. If I could. I would not need Christ.

No I do not believe it.

I believe IF ONE COULD FALL AWAY (which is what the passage says ) THEY CAN NEVER BE RENEWED, for they CRUCIFY THEMSELVES THE SON OF GOD AND PUT HIM TO SHAME.

How many times do you want to crucify Christ?

Hey, my thoughts EXACTLY!

It's a favorite tactic for you guys to twist and turn others words around............and then accuse them of whatever.........but, such is the way it is.............sadly..........

Simple question(s)

1) Since your salvation, have you sinned?

2) What did you do about it?
