Restless consciences, kicking against what they claim to not believe in, can't stand any nervous reminders of the possible huge deficiencies of going their own way,

John 3:19-21 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

I just dont see who they're trying to reach with this.More like a kick at the can.Seems immature. If Christians put up the same sign against atheists you'd never hear the end.

Like Westboro you mean?

I know they don't speak for all Christians, same as the people who made this sign don't speak for all atheists.

What's illuminating is that each year, the Christmas threads pop-up in any-what-not direction, yet what's fueling the atheist mind-set across once-upon-a-time Christian nations is not Christmas --or getting rid of Christmas--, but the gasping religion of Evolution in all public schools year-round! ...just sayin'. :p

Excellent !! I was hoping you would answer. I had actually meant to ask atheists if they actually agree with this.I'm glad you do not.I respect that. Westboro can call themselves Christians but their actions prove they are not.Nothing more than a cult and from interviews I've seen, needing a little more chlorine in the gene pool.

I'm all for the public rejection and partitioning against religion but getting kids involved is my main gripe with this.

One of the main criticisms against religion is the indoctrination of the young.. So for the opposition to go down the same route doesn't sit right with me.

Many atheists expend a HUGE amount of energy fighting against someone they claim is imaginary.

I don't waste any time fighting imaginary people.
Do you?

Extraordinarily odd isn't it?

No doubt and good point.....why do they try and spend so much time trying to argue his existence and why do they wish to take some imaginary God out of everything...What about Satan Clause oooh, I mean Santa or Rudolph...what about the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown or how about Jack Frost or Mr. Winter.......Why don't they spend that much time on those imaginary figures...after all they are also indoctrinating the children of society...man I forgot about the Easter Bunny and..........

Well Ive heard that argument before.Every child is "indoctrinated" according to their parents or guardians beliefs. Buddhists grow up to be Buddhists, atheists grow up to be atheists,Christians grow up to be Christians. Now usually there is a period in time when they become independent and may change their worldview. But your worldview tends to be the same as what you grow up in.Dont know the stats maybe someone has more info.

Well most atheists go around battling mostly Christians.

I don't see them expending that much energy attacking radical Islamists or other religions where women are abused and what not.

They prefer fighting Santa Claus than a religion which puts a price on people's head. Moral relativism

Nothing odd about not wanting this stuff taught in schools
Or not wanting religious people impacting how countries are run.

I was surprised when Mahr stood against Islam. I must say you are rare because he is being ripped apart by other libs for his stand on Islam.

"And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world [satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." -2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Though spiritually blind, those in captivity (see 2 Timothy 2:26) still possess the 'Imago Dei' in their spiritually fallen and blind state. It is a fundamental characteristic of human beings that they are capable of making decisions about what they should do and of carrying them out. According to Scripture such powers are an important part of the imago Dei (‘image of God’) which teaches that humanity was designed with both will and purpose.

They are exercising their will but in a spiritually blind and fallen state and position of captivity to "the god of this world [satan]" as opposed to a spiritually enlightened and regenerate state and position of freedom in God's Kingdom.

The drive toward purpose is also inherent in the 'Imago Dei' but as you quickly learn studying apologetics seriously, despite all the flowery speech about good works and saving mankind that atheists engage in; their position is as anti-Christ as their deeply flawed epistemology and argumentation.

Think of it like this; the drive to execute will toward purpose is inherent in mankind so it is no surprise that even a spiritually blinded person with a spiritually fallen nature whose position is outside of God's kingdom and whose worldview is spiritually bankrupt and ultimately meaningless still exhibits that drive toward purpose.

So here we go again.Whether you celebrate Christmas or you dont this sign is ridiculous...

Though an intellectual simpleton and deeply deceived individual (see my last post to discern his present spiritual state), at least Mahr is honest.

My comments

The natural man is in rebellion against the Lord and when confronted with people who have discovered the truth this bothers them .... they may not know why, but they become confrontational

.... and some know, but deliberately refute .... these are actually rebelling against the Lord and know it

If this was not the case then they would just simply ignore and go on about their business

Romans 1 has an accurate rundown on such and when their life style is threatened even by the mention of "God" they take issue openly and aggressively

I know of one who made this statement to me ...." I know there is a God, but I just do not want Him messing with me"

And satanic influence is also apparent in the background ..... this is the devil's same walk
