Did we affirm yet that everything is evil? Maybe I should stop wearing stripes too because it reminds of freemasonry too much and dig my eyes out because eye stands for Illuminati. And by all means stop wearing purple, if it the color of magic, indigo is also new age color so it must be inherently evil and we shouldnt wear red either because it is the color that mystery Babylon is wearing. Dont be like them heathens.

And maybe we should trivialize every Scripture to the point of making them of no effect...

no wait, that is what the pharisees did, and it was error.

Why hold on to what the world tells us, why not seek Yah?

1 Yahchanan 2:15-17, "Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, with the lust that is in it; but he who does the will of Yahweh abides forever."

That is a celebration of independence, right, the 4th?
I don't think I'd count myself as "independent" because I am dependent on all three parts of Elohim.

You might understand this post.... the lady of freedom...

Title page from the first English edition of Part I

The Age of Reason; Being an Investigation of True and Fabulous Theology is a pamphlet, written by British and American revolutionary Thomas Paine, that challenges institutionalized religion and the legitimacy of the Bible, the central text of Christianity. Published in three parts in 1794, 1795, and 1807, it was a best-seller in the United States, where it caused a short-lived deistic revival. British audiences, however, fearing increased political radicalism as a result of the French Revolution, received it with more hostility. The Age of Reason presents common deistic arguments; for example, it highlights what Paine saw as corruption of the Christian Church and criticizes its efforts to acquire political power. Paine advocates reason in the place of revelation, leading him to reject miracles and to view the Bible as an ordinary piece of literature rather than as a divinely inspired text. It promotes natural religion and argues for the existence of a creator-God.
Most of Paine's arguments had long been available to the educated elite, but by presenting them in an engaging and irreverent style, he made deism appealing and accessible to a mass audience. The book was also inexpensive, putting it within the reach of a large number of buyers. Fearing the spread of what they viewed as potentially revolutionary ideas, the British government prosecuted printers and book-sellers who tried to publish and distribute it. Nevertheless, Paine's work inspired and guided many free thinkers.

Yeremyah 10 For one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, so that it will not move; topple over.

That verse is not about putting up a decorated tree in your house. It's about cutting down a tree, chiseling it into the shape of an idol (since idols would have been made of wood) and decorating the idol with silver and gold. It depends on what translation you use.

My fireworks comment wasn't silly. It's basically the same way of thinking. The ancient Chinese used fireworks in ancient pagan festivities, thus we shouldn't use fireworks in our modern celebrations.

You compare me with pharisees but if anyone here is a legalist, that would be you, Sir. You judge things by outward appearance and not looking on the heart of the person who celebrates. I love you like a brother and agree with you on many other issues, but on these things we'll NEVER agree.

If you're going to observe things like you're observing them, you cant pick and choose. I'm trivializing not the Scriptures but your arguing with everybody until you convince everyone in your opinion or until people go away. If we go by your logic we should not sing to God, dance to God, make feasts and many other things because this is also what pagans have been doing to worship their gods.

God has shown me what the evergreen tree means. God, nor man showed me this and since then I've never seen Christmas tree the same. It feels me with His joy and praise. Again God, not man, showed me!
It means the righteous man:

Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
I dont have a tree in my house because physical tree means nothing to me. But anytime I see one I smile and glorify God in my thoughts. You are free to keep thinking that God does not like His glory to be returned to Him.

You say garland on the tree is serpent.
Mind you, Jesus was also the serpent on a tree and the Cross became our everlasting tree of life... that never withers.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
But there's no talking to you, your eyes are filled with pagan studies and you see evil in everything...
Have a good evening, I have better things to do with my time.

I disagree, tree worship goes way back, it all started with a tree and a serpent...

Sister, soulweaver..

God showed you... A tree means righteous man ? or that the tree " is like " a righteous man ?

...

wow

so...

and what did Moses do with the bronze "serpent" (nacash) on the pole?

Make a holiday out of it, to set it up once a year...

or was it destroyed because people started to look at it in the wrong way?
