Son, you have a lot of learning to do. Please get your theology from the BIBLE, and not from the comic books known as Chick Tracts.
AND I KNOW MILLIONS OF PROTESTANTS, who have NO IDEA what the Catholic Catechism says ARE THEIR ACTUAL CATHOLIC BELIEFS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TAUGHT BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, and YET, those same protestants, will in ignorance, pass judgement on the Catholics spouting assumed beliefs of the Catholics without really having the foggiest idea what their actual beliefs are that are printed in the Catholic Catechism.
OH HOW THEY LOVE TO HATE CATHOLICS!
May I suggest that anyone TEMPTED to spout anti-Catholic statements; actually sits down and READS the Catholic Catechism before spouting one more thing about Catholics, in ignorance. I read it through once, and have used it numerous times as a resource for referencing Catholic Beliefs. I can take a Baptist Doctrinal Statement of Faith and find the exact Parallel Statements in the Catholic Catechism. HERE LET HELP YOU ALL educate yourselves about genuine Catholic Beliefs, (instead of reciting bitter, hateful Protestant SUSPICIONS about what they believe), by posting a link to the Catholic Catechism: Catechism of the Catholic Church
NO I am not Catholic, not even an Ex-Catholic. But at least I gave them the courtesy of reading their Catechism to verify what they really teach and believe, before running off at the mouth spouting anti-Catholic statements. Yes I found things that I do not agree with, BUT I FOUND LOTS OF THINGS THAT ARE ABSOLUTE TRUTH too; ESPECIALLY THE CORE OF MAINLINE CHRISTIAN BELIEFS. I personally think their biggest fault is doing a poor job of teaching their congregations from the pulpits, exactly what they are taught in Seminary.
You have no idea how much study some of us Protestants have done about the Catholic Church. Nor do you know whatthe Catholic Church really believes!
I went through the Catechism before I was saved, searching for some kind of spirituality. But God saved me before I got sucked into that cult. And every "born again" Catholic believer I have met, is still trusting in the church to save them, not Jesus Christ.
As far as Christiology, and Catholic Church is right on target. But it turns into a cult, when you look closely at their soteriology. A Catholic us saved by the rituals and rites (sacraments) which only they can dole out to the faithful. The Bible is clear we at saved by Jesus Christ.
I have two close friends who came out of the Catholic Church. They say you have to leave if you really believe. And one led 6 Catholics to the Lord in the last three weeks. Because she and those people knew they weren't saved! And what a difference I see in them already.

Alright everyone, back to arguing.

I dont follow many of the popular versions of Christ Reborn.
I do not try to be like Jesus. I do not try to be anything but what he has made me.
The modern version of christianity is about compromise and peace.Obediance to men and accomodation of other races and religions. Even being reproved by Christian women is seen as acceptable under hippy Jesus.
I have a very different outlook and have been tempered through life for a fight. And am eager to take part.
I wouldn't dream of destroying the hippy Jesus of the 20 th century, even if I could. What is my one voice worth?
but by the same token, hippy Jesus has nothing to do with who I follow.
they would not be born again, and be priests.
The true gospel is heresy to the roman church, they would be asked to leave the church.
Many people look and act like christians, it does not mean they are.
QUOTE:
THE CORE BELIEFS OF MAINLINE CHRISTIANITY TAUGHT IN THE:
THE CATHOLIC CATECHISM:
. . .
105 God is the author of Sacred Scripture. "The divinely revealed realities, which are contained and presented in the text of Sacred Scripture, have been written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit."
. . .
107 The inspired books teach the truth. "Since therefore all that the inspired authors or sacred writers affirm should be regarded as affirmed by the Holy Spirit, we must acknowledge that the books of Scripture firmly, faithfully, and without error teach that truth which God, for the sake of our salvation, wished to see confided to the Sacred Scriptures."
. . .
II. "I Know Whom I Have Believed"[SUP]16[/SUP]
To believe in God alone
150 Faith is first of all a personal adherence of man to God. At the same time, and inseparably, it is a free assent to the whole truth that God has revealed. As personal adherence to God and assent to his truth, Christian faith differs from our faith in any human person. It is right and just to entrust oneself wholly to God and to believe absolutely what he says. It would be futile and false to place such faith in a creature.[SUP]17[/SUP]
To believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God
151 For a Christian, believing in God cannot be separated from believing in the One he sent, his "beloved Son", in whom the Father is "well pleased"; God tells us to listen to him.[SUP]18[/SUP] The Lord himself said to his disciples: "Believe in God, believe also in me."[SUP]19[/SUP] We can believe in Jesus Christ because he is himself God, the Word made flesh: "No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known."[SUP]20[/SUP] Because he "has seen the Father", Jesus Christ is the only one who knows him and can reveal him.[SUP]21[/SUP]
To believe in the Holy Spirit
152 One cannot believe in Jesus Christ without sharing in his Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who reveals to men who Jesus is. For "no one can say "Jesus is Lord", except by the Holy Spirit",[SUP]22[/SUP] who "searches everything, even the depths of God. . No one comprehends the thoughts of God, except the Spirit of God."[SUP]23[/SUP] Only God knows God completely: we believe in the Holy Spirit because he is God.
The Church never ceases to proclaim her faith in one only God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
16 - 2 Tim 1:12,
17 - Jer 17:5-6; Ps 40:5; 146:3-4,
18 - Mk 1:11; 9:7,
19 - Jn 14:1,
20 - Jn 1:18,
21 - Jn 6:46; Mt 11:27,
22 - I Cor 12:3,
23 - I Cor 2:10-11.
. . .
156 What moves us to believe is not the fact that revealed truths appear as true and intelligible in the light of our natural reason: we believe "because of the authority of God himself who reveals them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived". So "that the submission of our faith might nevertheless be in accordance with reason, God willed that external proofs of his Revelation should be joined to the internal helps of the Holy Spirit." Thus the miracles of Christ and the saints, prophecies, the Church's growth and holiness, and her fruitfulness and stability "are the most certain signs of divine Revelation, adapted to the intelligence of all"; they are "motives of credibility" (motiva credibilitatis), which show that the assent of faith is "by no means a blind impulse of the mind".
. . .
162 Faith is an entirely free gift that God makes to man.
. . .
178 We must believe in no one but God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
179 Faith is a supernatural gift from God. In order to believe, man needs the interior helps of the Holy Spirit.
. . .
781 Conscience enables one to assume responsibility for the acts performed. If man commits evil, the just judgment of conscience can remain within him as the witness to the universal truth of the good, at the same time as the evil of his particular choice. the verdict of the judgment of conscience remains a pledge of hope and mercy. In attesting to the fault committed, it calls to mind the forgiveness that must be asked, the good that must still be practiced, and the virtue that must be constantly cultivated with the grace of God:
. . .
1847 "God created us without us: but he did not will to save us without us." To receive his mercy, we must admit our faults. "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We'll the issue in every organization is lawlessness meaning sinful living through a direct commandment breaking due to not living according to the spirit those that Are born Of God do not sin as the spirit forbids it as we remain in the spirit and those that live under the spirit fulfill all the requirements of the Law by faith meaning we shall love God and if we love God we will do everything that pleases him it is written those that love God hate evil . And as the heavens proclaim His righteousness so shall we if we love God we will also hate idolatry we shall hate all immorality whether it be sexual or violent etc by eliminating these at the source within our spirit through faith by faith the sabbath day was blesses es and made holy for in six days did he create the heavens and earth and rested on the sabbath day all this we believe by faith and more it is written the just shall live by faith and if we have faith we will operate by the word not our precepts just like JesusWe'll non sense and poopy pants hogwash , the body of Christ has no schism and is clean and undefined happy are those that watch their garments and guard their heart for they shall have the right to the tree of life happy are those that keep the commandments of God for they shall see God remember for the circumcision and circumcision have no availeth but rather by the obeying of the commandments of God quoted Paul the apostle . When the church moves away from these principles they become reprobates and such that practice lawlessness are as sodom and Gomorrah as Isaiah chapter one describes look at the situation world wide all the immorality it is because the world regards not tithe creator and the so called children are lacking in nourishment of knowledge wich is spirit it is the word of God . Undefiled undiluted truth
