Opinions please! The Lord has really been putting things on my heart lately about the coming rapture. Recently things have really been escalating. Does anyone feel the same way??

Ever think that perhaps 'the Lord'' is something you use to justify letting your mind wander a little bit further than it should? The rapture wasn't even on the religious map until 200 years ago. It's made up, and it's not in God's pattern. God sticks with people through tough times, as the Church is supposed to; He doesn't abandon them. The idea of walking around thinking 'yay, we can leave everything to pot soon', is antithetical to God's character.

Jesus also gave us a promise that He would never leave or forsake us. He promises to be with us during difficult times. If anyone would have been removed from persecution, it would have been the early church Who does the current c hurch think they are to escape the coming trouble? Pretty arrogant it seems to me.

I don't know what to think about it honestly. Yes things do seem to be escalating but things also have escalated in the past and then died down again. I mean...I'm sure people thought during both world wars this was surely the end.

Also last year or whenever it was people were posting about how North Korea was going to launch nukes and then the rapture was going to happen. Jesus said all these things have to happen and then to look for a VERY specific occurrence.

To answer the topic title, yes I think the "Technoclypse" as you call it is in line with bible prophecy. Why? Because of IoET for one.

When the Internet of Everything (IoET) becomes a reality as expected by 2020, all of the Internet of Things will be able to communicate with each other. This means constant awareness of people, places, and things - all the time, every time, and everywhere.

Then there is the issue of all people being able to see each other in real-time (or if your the NSA watch all the people all of the time). They dub this "telepresence". It's similarity to the word omnipresence I find amusing. Man through his knowledge in technology trying to play God?

When you see products such as Google Glasses and the latest Amazon Echo - you really have to wonder where things are going.

Wether or not the rapture (e.g. "changing in the twinkling of an eye" I Corinthians 15:52 ) happens today, tomorrow, or a hundred years from now - we should leave each day as our last and live life to the fullest. There is no need to fear what is to come since we know where we are going when we die, we should spend out time concerned for those who have not believed.

"If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for." - Charles Spurgeon

“The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zbigniew_Brzezinski
[h=1]Zbigniew Brzezinski[/h]
is a Polish American political scientist, geostrategist, and statesman who served as a counsellor to Lyndon B. Johnson from 1966–1968 and held the position of United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981. Brzezinski belongs to the realist school of international relations, geopolitically standing in the tradition of Halford Mackinder and Nicholas J. Spykman
In August 2007, Brzezinski endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. He stated that Obama "recognizes that the challenge is a new face, a new sense of direction, a new definition of America's role in the world."[33] – also saying, "What makes Obama attractive to me is that he understands that we live in a very different world where we have to relate to a variety of cultures and people."[34] In September 2007 during a speech on the Iraq war, Obama introduced Brzezinski as "one of our most outstanding thinkers," but some pro-Israel commentators questioned his criticism of the Israel lobby in the United States.[32] In a September 2009 interview with The Daily Beast, Brzezinski replied to a question about how aggressive President Obama should be in insisting Israel not conduct an air strike on Iran, saying: "We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?"[35] This was interpreted by some supporters of Israel as supporting the downing of Israeli jets by the United States in order to prevent an attack on Iran.[36][37] In 2011, Brzezinski supported the NATO intervention against the forces of Muammar Gaddafi in the Libyan Civil War, calling non-intervention "morally dubious" and "politically questionable".[38]

And He will provide a way of escape. There once was a frog. The frog fell asleep in luke warm water because it was comfortable. It woke up briefly for a moment and realized just right before it boiled. The Lord will lead you out. Rapture as people teach is false. God's escape is much different than what people think. There are safe places on earth. Keep listening and get out if God is leading you out.

OnThisRock,

you are correct, God has always provided throughout Biblical history
safety for His people in many different ways.
He has kept them separate, alive, and safe for His over-all purpose
as the prophets have spoken.

PS. 105:15.
Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
