never said you did ...I said it is not an excuse to sin...and scripture says.... sin not...do you obey the scripture??? did God give us an impossible mission???....

The context is NOT SOUL SALVATION, but remaining faithful, having fortitude, bearing the trials, taking patiently and enduring the PERSECUTION that comes from the betrayal of FAMILY MEMBERS rising up against you to have you put to death for the cause of Christ and enduring the HATRED that is leveled at you by the men of the world who hate you....

Jesus will preserve you, deliver you, protect you, heal you and save you from ALL PERSECUTION......

I understand the context of this chapter, Jesus is warning the Apostles/disciples of things they will have to go through when they go out to these areas and preach the gospel to those who will not accept it.
Then He tells them only if they remain faithful to Him through all of this, and not turn away do to fear of their lives being taken by others will they be saved / get salvation !!!

More universal truth proclaimed by the bible......

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and sing praises unto thy name. O most High: To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
 
We are to preach the true Gospel of Christ not adding or taking anything away from it.

we glorify God, because we know what we deserve.

they glorify self, because of what they THINK they deserve, when in reality they have yet to repent and admit what they actually do deserve.

why do people come in here and post stuff they KNOW not everyone agrees with? This is a thread for us to come and get out of the fighting and bickering that goes on elswhere in this chatroom.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

If the mission was never to sin it was not an impossible mission but perhaps and improbable one.
