It's quite simple.
If in fact you are born again and, therefore, saved (past tense), many things are certain and irrevocable,
being worked in you by the power of the Holy Spirit.
God who began the good work of salvation in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Php 1:6), by
working in you to will and to act according to his good purpose in obedience (Php 2:13).
You will persevere in your faith, being kept there by the power of God (1Pe 1:5; Jn 10:28),
through his numerous Scriptural warnings, as well as discipline of his children when necessary,
in order to keep them in the way of obedience and holiness (Heb 12:5-11).
Your destiny is determined, for those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified (Ro 8:30), all past tense, done deal, with absolute certainty.
If the above, such as obedience and sanctification, are not occurring in your life,
then you have not been born again and, therefore, are not saved.
So what in the above does not line up and agree with all of Scripture?
[SUP]28 [/SUP]As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, [SUP]29 [/SUP]for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. [SUP]30 [/SUP]Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, [SUP]31 [/SUP]so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[SUP][
h][/SUP] receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. [SUP]32 [/SUP]
For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
God called all men and he gave gifts....not all men will answer the call and some who answer will trample upon his gifts. God bound all over to disobedience....so it is clear His call is to obedience....The HS in us is the power to obey
John 1:11-13
[SUP]11 [/SUP]He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

the HS is working in us...but it is we who have to will and do in obedience....
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Wherefore, my beloved,
as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence,
work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For it is God which worketh in you both
to will and
to do of his good pleasure.

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Every man is responsible for his destiny...
[SUP]35 [/SUP]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[SUP]36 [/SUP]As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[SUP]38 [/SUP]For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[SUP]39 [/SUP]Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
only the man himself holds the power to separate himself from God through disobedience...

God predestined us to be conformed to the image of his son....he gave us the power to do so....
