Brother Hermit and you have posted what's being ignored.

After watching the multitude of Scripture that you've posted on those Grievious Debates threads -- you are definitely not ignorant of the Scriptures. Some are on this thread. Dreadfully so.

Can't believe I've put two people on Ignore after 12 yrs on the internet and tons of activity - this is a first but it had an immediate calming affect and it's best to just see you Brothers post.

Who said the Holy Spirt cannot be resisted? Resisting while He's doing what?

I know that the Romans had a pagan holiday that was celebrated on Dec. 25, but we do not celebrate that pagan god, we celebrate the News of the Christ Child. And the fact that the pagans had a holiday on Dec. 25 has NO BARING on our celebrating the Birth of CHRIST, because I guarantee you that there have been enough pagan false gods throughout the history of mankind to ensure that there is a Pagan holiday on all 365 days of a year. Do I believe He was born on Dec. 25th? I doubt it, because of the verse that declares the shepherds were still in the field watching their flocks, implies that it was when the grass was still green, and that is the ONLY clue to the date we have. Some years, long before Dec. 25th, the flocks would have to be corralled for the winter. Today in Bethlehem it got up to 59 degrees. My guess is it was earlier than December, but there is NO WAY OF KNOWING FOR SURE.

SO why Celebrate the Birth of the CHRIST CHILD on Dec. 25th?

WHY NOT?

THE DATE IS NOT IMPORTANT, BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW THE DATE.
HOWEVER, THE FACT THAT THE ANGELS Joyously CELEBRATED HIS BIRTH, IS MORE THAN ENOUGH REASON
FOR US TO CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH.

Honest, I am not trying to criticize your beliefs, but I am trying to give you a reason to celebrate HIS BIRTH!
You are missing a tremendous Blessing. I have already cried many tears watching Christmas related videos that blessed me to tears, and my wife and I will watch more of them tomorrow.

"Soul" in the Greek is even more specific, and it is the Greek word "psychē" in the Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. YEP, it is referring to the human mind between our ears.

It is what is going on in the HEART that is the basis for Worship, Adoration, and Celebration; and the one who thinks it reminds him of paganism, has NOTHING going on in his or her heart, that is remotely like genuine WORSHIP.

He always meant for our spirit to be indwelled by Him and then the mind/soul takes the orders from the spirit and the body just follows through - walking as He walked while on the earth.
Walking in the flesh is what we're born doing -- living, thinking autonomously, apart from His Spirit/Him being within and speaking through our spirit to our minds/souls then bringing the body under submission.

It makes us One as He and Father are One when we walk in the Spirit but we're still just one person - with God as the Head of our lives.

It's about Co-Equality - the Three are One - and why I call it TriUnity [echad=unity] and not Trinity. Lots of Church History to go through as well. Not "Jesus Only" but just "God Only" but not "Unitarian" ... but a Triune Godhead.
