Just as I am without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidd'st me come to thee
Of Lamb of God I come,I come..

The service is nearing an end
The choir is singing "Just as I am"
And now as the old song is played
People at the altar are kneeling down to pray
Some are finding mercy
Forgiveness for their sins
Some are fighting battles
and they're struggling to win
The time is come to give them to the Lord

That's what this altar is for

That's what this altar is for
You don't have to carry those burdens any more
There's a light in the darkness
There's a love that's true
And Jesus is waiting
He is waiting here for you

Go quickly now before they close the door
That's what this altar is for

A father is praying with his son
Mother kneels beside them
Thanking God they'd come
An old man is standing there in tears
Giving up a part of him that he's held back for years
Hearts are being broken
Lives are being changed
Those who call upon the Lord they will never be the same
The time has come to give unto the Lord

That's what this altar is for

Go quickly now before they close the door
And you can give your burdens to the Lord
That's what this altar is for....

Sunshine_debbie that is a beauitful poem thank you so much for posting it, i really needed to read it. Thanks Guys for all the prayers i feel so much better today. And verse do help to comfort me and feel at peace

I got saved in April around the time my friend Passed and i don't remember having that feeling of being scared, until month later it was only for a day when it came then went away and then it came back and lasted for a few days, i thought I was going crazy and just losing my mind. I talked to a couple of friends of mine and they told me they felt that way too when they first got saved.

Again thank you so much for the prayers advice pslam 27 i think i read that as well, and thanks for the poem. God bless you all.

Yeah I knew what it was but he can not scare me away from my Lord, for he is a good God.

Well through prayer i should talk to him like he's a friend because he is and i know he's with me always. He said touch not my anointed and do no harm to my prophets in his word.
