That's a fairy tale of the SDA church...I have already posted many scripture that prove beyond doubt that the Apostles and the first church would meet on the first day of the week... Because we are not under the law! And the Lord was raised on the first day of the week...and that is the true Sabbath.
Let anyone who cares to know the truth do their own research. The RCC does not deny it, why do you?

Oh you speak for the RCC? The bible is the only resource I need to see what is absolutely clear...They did not meet on the Sabbath, that being the church but on the first day of the week just as the bible tells us in clear words.

The fact remains, the RCC changed the day of rest to Sunday, and call it their "mark" of authority. It had less to do with what "day" Messiah was found to be risen, or what days they met, but rather they wanted nothing to do with the Jews. It was punishable by death to work on Sunday, or to be found resting on Sabbath. Check to see if any "blue" laws exist in your town..history repeats itself doncha know.

That's just made up either by the SDA...even if they made some claim...we have the clear testimony of the scriptures! we don't need the RCC or the SDA to tell us the truth...besides all that ...we believers are NOT UNDER THE LAW!

Well I have posted it about two or three times on this thread...but ill do it again because I like you :)

Mt 28:1 ¶ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher.
Mr 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mr 16:9 ¶ Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Lu 24:1 ¶ Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
Joh 20:1 ¶ The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Joh 20:19 ¶ Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Ac 20:7 ¶ And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
I don't understand why people cant read and see the truth?

No need to pop a vein. The facts are there. Truth is like a lion, let it loose and it can defend itself.:)

Where is the verse that clearly states the Sabbath has been done away with and replaced by Sunday worship, that is blessed, hallowed, sanctified and requested to be Remembered as the Sabbath day? You show me where God came and talked this with His own voice like He did the 10 Commandments and I will change my day of worship.

What truth? They met on the first day of the week? I don't argue that. Where does that give anyone authority to change the Creator's Laws? It doesn't say the law was changed in scripture, the RCC changed the law.

Jesus Christ and His Cross and His shed Blood...is the authority and God the Father judged Him in our place to set us free from the law...You people who cry law ! law! have no respect for the law and no respect for the Cross!

How many times, and in how many ways does the New Testament tell us we are not under the law...we been set free from the law...that the law was only a shadow of Christ...that's is past away! that we have a new covenant ...etc.. etc... I guess God thinks people can figure out after He says it over and over in so many ways!

Gods Word is Gods voice! His Son and His apostles and He said "THIS IS MY BELOVED SON...HEAR HIM...and moses vanished!

lets go back to that verse slowly okay staring from verse one

Matthew 28 King James Version (KJV)

28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

In verse one did the first day came ? Or Was going toward the first day ?
When does a day starts according to the bible ?
On what day did the earth quake take place ?

On what day did the angel speak with them ?

When they looked for Christ was he there or was he already risen ?

Tell me, Lord, do you have a special day of rest for your followers or is every day alike?
"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day."Revelation 1:10

But which day is the Lord's Day? Which day are you Lord of?

"The Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day." Matt. 12:8

There are seven days in the week. Which day is the Sabbath day?
"The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God." Fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:8)

. . .

t<><

THE SIGN OF THE FIRST COVENANT:

Exodus 31:13-17 (NIV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] "'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.'"
THE NEW COVENANT IS A BETTER COVENANT, NOT AN IMPROVED CONTINUATION OF THE FIRST ONE:

Luke 22:20 (ESV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 (ESV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God,
[SUP]6 [/SUP] who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrews 8:6 (HCSB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] But Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree He is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been legally enacted on better promises.

IN THE NEW COVENANT, JESUS BECOMES OUR HIGH PRIEST:

Hebrews 4:14-16 (ISV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us continue to hold on to our confession.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For we do not have a high priest who is incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who was tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sin.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] So let us keep on coming with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 7:11-19 (HCSB)

[SUP]11 [/SUP] If then, perfection came through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there for another priest to appear, said to be in the order of Melchizedek {Not of the tribe of Levi} and not in the order of Aaron?

[SUP]12 [/SUP] For when there is a change of the priesthood,
there must be a change of law as well.

[SUP]13 [/SUP] For the One these things are spoken about belonged to a different tribe. No one from it has served at the altar.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Now it is evident that our Lord came from Judah, and Moses said nothing about that tribe concerning priests.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] And this becomes clearer if another priest like Melchizedek appears, {Not of the tribe of Levi}
[SUP]16 [/SUP] who did not become a ⌊priest⌋ based on a legal command concerning physical descent but based on the power of an indestructible life.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For it has been testified: You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. {Not of the tribe of Levi}
[SUP]18 [/SUP] So the previous command is annulled because it was weak and unprofitable
[SUP]19 [/SUP] (for the law perfected nothing), but a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.

THE REQUIRED CHANGE OF THE LAW:

Hebrews 10:24-25 (HCSB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works,
[SUP]25 [/SUP] not staying away from our ⌊worship⌋ meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near. {NOTICE: No mention of which day to worship.}

Romans 14:5 (NKJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.

I BELIEVE IN WORSHIPING THE LORD THE SAME, EACH AND EVERY DAY!

CAN WE END THE ARGUMENT NOW?

That makes no sense when you know this:
[h=1]John 1:3[/h] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Now who is that talking about? <Messiah of course! So who was it that gave the 10 commandments? Hmmm

So now His laws are written on our hearts, Messiah in us is why we love those instructions and obey. He didn't come to abolish our instructions, leaving us to figure out wwjd, we know, we have His Word on it.:)

Ac 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

Ac 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Ro 3:19 ¶ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {guilty...: or, subject to the judgment of God}
Ro 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Ro 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Ro 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. {that being...: or, being dead to that}
Ro 7:7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

I could go on and on ..over and over we are told we are not under the law of Moses! Paul says its evident! Why can some of you not read the bible and believe it?

VCO says:{NOTICE: No mention of which day to worship.}

Ya know, when I was researching all the info I could on why and when the day was changed, just what you said may have been the clincher. Imagine, a law punishable by death was done away with, and no mention, not even a peep. Now if that had been changed, the eternal covenant, there would have been some noise. But what I say is not for you VCO, it is for anyone reading here that is beginning to realize we have inherited many lies. I just want the truth, and thank the Almighty when it's found! Praise His Name, things that were whispered will be shouted from the mountaintops!

When you love the truth, you can never get enough of it.

Messiah obeyed His Father perfectly, and if you have Messiah in you, that spirit will guide to to obey what is written. It's the impersonator spirit that contradicts what Messiah taught.
