True, if I were to go to a baptist church, and out of the blue they begin preaching that Christ is just one way out of many, that we must obtain our own salvation by works, etc. etc. etc. Then according to scripture they are no longer a biblical church, the most I can do is warn them and leave. The bizarre doctrines and actions of the Catholic church show that even if at one point she was biblical she no longer is. At that point one of two things must happen, go back to being a biblical church or drop the Christian from their name. Luther in fact had no intention of leaving the Catholic church, he wanted to reform it because he got tired of all the corruption. The reformation is a result of the refusal of the powers that be to change.

I agree, and to add to this, God will not except Idolitry. If Christ is head of your life you will have no need of others. everyone cring Lord, Lord will not enter into heaven.
They are full of Idolitry; from Apostel Peter-- to what they call the virgin Mary. ( Mary didn't stay a virgin) she had five or more children after Jesus; Matthew 13:55-58... Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. you see she had four other sons and at least two daughters. God said she is blessed among women, not to be called the mother of God. God had no beginning of days nor will he have an end. she do not tell God what to do in heaven.
they are superstitious, they believe in fortune tellers, mediums, whitch craft, horoscopes( the reading of the stars) which is sorcery. just to name a few.......
Exodus 20:4-5....Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; they bow down to all sorts of graven images, crucifixes, pictures of what they call Jesus, statues, the use of rosery beeds, ( for tools of prayer to reach God) rituals.... that God never said we are to perform.
The asking of forgivness and confesion of sins to man and not to God; in the name of Christ Jesus. I John 1:9...If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are not to do the things that are done in the Catholic church; these are only some of the things.
it is the biggest cult in the world, they call the Pope holy father, they look to him to allow a miracle to happen , they kiss his feet !! they cry for/at signs and lying wonders. they run to false visions of mary or angels which they also worship. and the bible say we are to call God father only ( worship the Lord God and Him ONLY .... they teach that the Apostels can answer prayer, and that you can pray for the dead, what for?- they are gone, we are to pray for them while they are still living that they won't be called " The dead " for God is the God of the living not the dead.
they teach that if you do wrong here on earth ( all but murder, and suicide ) you will go to pergatory and burn off those sins to be purified-- then you will enter into heaven.....( False doctrine) which is also their practices. and the things that are allowed of their members, and themselves.
just because you hear them say Jesus, God or holy Spirit does not make any religion right.
If you have the Holy Spirit of the only true and living God that was sent to those who believe in Christ Jesus and all God did through him, and by him. there is no way you will not have conviction from him. Grace is not a liscence to sin...but a gift that will cause the Blood of Jesus to cleanse you from all sins. ALL SINS.
Last but not least; if we don't love the Lord God ( as we see God said they hate him) and worship him only; we can not do the rest. For Jesus said in... Matthew 22: 37-39 ....said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
If you don't do the first you will not- by the help of the Holy Spirit ( which will not be with you) can you do any of the rest.

you say you don't want to put other's religion down, well then I will do it. IT'S NOT OF GOD THEN IT IS OF THE DEVIL; WORK OF INQUITY, AND IF THEY ARE NOT CONVERTED AND COME INTO AND UNTO THE TRUTH THEY WILL GO TO HELL. NO ITS -- ANDS-- OR BUTS ABOUT IT. THOSE WHO COME PREACHING ANOTHER GOSPEL; AS APOSTLES PAUL SAY ; I SAY TOO; " LET THEM BE ACURSED" !!!!
AND AS WE SEE THEY ARE IN MANY WAYS......( that's another story)

Jesus said he did not come to bring peace on the earth, but the opposite. many will be offended by the Word and that is what it is for to be slavation to those who will believe it and a stumbling block to those who reject it and a witness against them.....
if you are not following the Christ of the Bible then your religion is a one way ticket to hell. I will not try to pacify anyone for all I care about is that person's soul and where it will end up at.

At this point, your only way to salvation is to stop going to a church completely. Every denomination of organized church you can go to is teaching you wrong on something. Might as well sleep in on Sunday.

I cannot speak for all but many that I knew and know in the catholic church embrace the true teachings of the word. Most stay in the church simply because it is familier and can easly disern what is of Jesus and what isnt. They do not worship saints of Mary and live by the greatest comandment.
I have met some that belong to sects. within the catholic church that worship Mary as equal to God and have many unbiblical requirements.
It really comes down to the indiviguals faith and not the religion. I know many that go to different christian churches that disagree with some of the teachings but still go to church because of their love of Jesus.
One is judged by Our Lord God, not by the church.

Do people need to agree with you for them to be right with God, or do they need to agree with the essential doctrine of the Bible? So the question is, has at least some Catholics whole-heartedly given their lives to Jesus as their Lord and Savior? I have met more than one Catholic that exhibit more devotion to Jesus and fruits of the Spirit than many Protestants.

As it is written...Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities." and by this I am referring to anything that sets itself up in place of the word and Christ.

I know so many Catholics who were raised Protestant like I was, who later became Catholic because that is where they felt the Lord calling them to be, and I've yet to find one who really attacks their old denomination. Most remember it fondly, I frequently hear from one of my friends who was raised Southern Baptist how grateful he is that he was encouraged to read the Scriptures daily and how much he enjoys it. I hear from another friend who was raised Presbyterian who reminisces fondly over how his old church would work closely with the homeless and how it made him really appreciate the gifts he'd been given. In my own example I look at my grandmother's example, a devout Baptist, who always has supported me and told me to talk to Jesus whenever I have problems. She was always unafraid to practice her faith, even in public. She never pushed her faith, but she never hid it either, and I try hard to emulate her.

For me, I came to the Catholic Church because of it's devotion to Scripture, and most especially it's devotion to Jesus. Everything the Church teaches is focused on Jesus, or is a reflection of Jesus. We emulate the saints because they are examples of how a human can follow Jesus in a way we an appreciate. We accept Jesus into our hearts, we also accept His mother as our own. We trust in the promises of the Scriptures which tells us that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (and implies that there are more) are not dead, but alive in Christ. We know from Paul's writings that our brothers and sisters in Christ who enter into glory are still aware of us and cheer us on, so we ask them to pray for us.

I find it sad that there are still so many who rail against a false vision of what the Catholic Church teaches. But I know that it is possible to come out of that snare of deception that the devil uses to pit Christians against each other. I too at one time railed against "romanism" and tried desperately to save my Catholic friends, but in the end, they saved me. May this Christmas season see the Lord come and deliver you from the false snares the devil has laid out to deceive you and show you that we Catholics are your brothers and sisters in Christ and that we love you.

I've been to dozens of churches, ranging from Messianic Jewish, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and more. I've yet to find a denomination more focused on Jesus than the Catholic or Orthodox Churches. You should check it out! It's pretty cool!

I'm Byzantine Catholic, we've always had the cup where both elements are mixed. But even then, I've found that when I visit the nearby Roman rite parishes, they offer the cup in addition to the bread.

And I always confess to Jesus. When you go to confession you don't confess to the priest, but to Jesus! It is Christ who offers forgiveness, and He saw fit to give us a way to know that we are forgiven through the ministry of His duly selected priests.

Well, if you ask the Eastern Orthodox, it was the Catholics who left them. But the Oriental Orthodox split after the Council of Chalcedon around the mid 400s.
